Complaint: Received a letter XX/XX/2019 saying Notice of Sale of Ownership of Mortgage loan. XX/XX/2019 I received a foreclosure letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX a foreclosure attorney saying the sale date for my home is XX/XX/2019. The Mortgage Transfer of Ownership Notices / The Truth in Lending Act requires the borrower is to be notified in writing of the owner or assignee within 30 days after the loan is sold. I was notified within 30 days. I have also request mortgage assistance for my delinquent mortgage.

Complaint: I have a loan with the lender, and I was attempting to pay the loan off early with their online services. I have had the loan on auto draft payments since the birth of the loan. The loan was acquired in XXXX through one mortgage company and then transferred to Carrington a few years ago. I have never had a late or missed payment until this alleged " missed '' payment. In early XXXX of XXXX, I made an additional payment on my loan and paid the max payment I was allowed to through their online portal. The payment was in the amount of {$9900.00}. Then on XX/XX/XXXX, I put in a request to increase my loan payment by {$1000.00} a month in order to pay the loan off faster. On XXXX, XXXX the auto draft payment was confirmed, and Carrington notified me that the new auto draft amount would start XX/XX/XXXX. I believe there must have been a glitch in their system, and the XX/XX/XXXX auto draft payment was cancelled. Between the {$9900.00} payment and the request to increase my monthly payment, the system suspended my auto draft payment for the month of XXXX. I did not suspend the payment. Carrington said they mailed me a letter on XX/XX/XXXX notifying me of the missed XXXX payment. I did not receive this letter. Since XXXX of XXXX, I have made additional extra payments on the loan. At some point, Carrington must have applied money from my additional payments to the " missed '' XXXX payment, therefore no other attempt was made to contact me regarding the missed XXXX payment. I was not made aware of this issue until last month when I was attempting to take out a loan. My loan officer notified me of an issue with my credit score, and this is how I found out about the issues with Carrington. I have attempted remediation with Carrington, and I have requested that they withdraw the negative report sent to the credit bureaus. They have refused to remove the negative information sent and claim that I am still at fault for the missed XXXX payment. I am distraught that my attempt to be financially responsible has resulted in a bad mark on my credit score that will haunt me for the next 7 years especially since this was no fault of my own.

Complaint: This particular account situation that is lately filing on my own credit document has a seriously unfavorable relation to my personal ability to obtain a present loan application. I highly recommend you generate verification that CARRINGTON MORTGAGE has been reported completely in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act regulations, it's really a serious problem to mis-report. Moreconfirmation of the aforesaid item too. My XXXX request mustover, I was never 30 days/60 days/120 days late in any of my payments and I'm not greatly tuned in to the date opened so I prefer to ask your be investigated as soon as possible and confirmed to be correct. Complaint: We put a contract on a house XX/XX/XXXX. We were preapproved for a VA loan through Carrington Mortgage. From that date until XX/XX/XXXX, we went through all the steps required of a VA loan, including putting our current house on the market XX/XX/XXXX. The seller was also required to give notice for their tenant to vacate, and was forced to go through eviction proceedings, again because of VA requirements. Delays caused by eviction, which was only necessary for a VA loan, delayed our closing multiple times. Finally the loan went to underwriting and on XX/XX/XXXX we received a closing disclosure that showed what we would need to close with the VA, which was nearly $ 30K. Our loan officer told us that it was a mistake and we would get a correction. XX/XX/XXXX, nearly two weeks later, Carrington Mortgage notified us that we didn't qualify for a VA loan, and in fact never had qualified since the very beginning of this process. The reason we didn't qualify is because of a formula they should have used at the very beginning. When we contacted XXXX to ask about this, they knew this formula from the very first phone call, without seeing any details of our file. Our loan officer had become aware of this mistake on XX/XX/XXXX and tried to hide it/argue with the VA about it, when it was a formula he should have been aware of and was not subject to negotiation. This is GROSS NEGLIGENCE on the part of Carrington, and in fact neither or loan officer nor his boss was aware of of the formula even though it is clearly provided by the VA. They sent me a copy of the examples provided by the VA. On XX/XX/XXXX we were told that we had a week to come up with a 3 % down payment, and our only option in that short amount of time was an IRA loan. Then Carrington continued to make mistakes that further delayed closing and increased our closing costs/down payment. We found out our final down payment amount, which was {$2000.00} more than what we were told on XX/XX/XXXX, and we did not close until XX/XX/XXXX. Our original closing date had been XX/XX/XXXX, and we could have closed then with a conventional loan. Also, all these delays, again 100 % due to the loan officer 's lack of education on the product, caused them to restart our file, and in the process they have placed 2 hard inquiries on our credit. Because Carrington went on to cause 10 more weeks of delays after we were forced to list our house on XX/XX/XXXX, we now have a stagnant listing and have been forced to drop the price more than {$11000.00} even though nothing is wrong with the house. Had the house sold when we listed it, we would have incurred thousands of dollars in costs for housing before we could close. Carrington Mortgage should not be allowed to process VA loans when their loan officers are clearly not educated in the requirements and qualifications.

Complaint: I have been having issues with Carrington Mortgage Services since XXXX of XXXX. Carrington keeps sending me letters that I have missed payments. I have records of every payment I have made to them. I have NEVER missed a payment since day one. I will send you everything. Every time I receive letter, I send copy of payment to prove it was paid. I have talked with everyone in that company and get a different answer every time with nothing ever being resolved. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a certified letter from Carrington that I have not paid since XX/XX/XXXX and they are going to foreclose on my house. I don't no what to do at this point. I am going to attorney tomorrow but she said I should also contact you. The amount they say I owe is XXXX, which also keeps changing. Have never been charged a late fee. This company will not deal with you and now threatening forclose for no reason. Carrington 's number is XXXX. Address I will mail all documentation since there is a lot. Thank you

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Complaint : My mortgage is being threatened to be placed in Foreclosure despite the facts that : 1- I am both following and compliant with all the terms of the original contract. 2- All monthly payments have been made in a timely fashion, since XX/XX/XXXX. 3- Carrington has refused to deal with me, in this on-going matter, in a good faith manner. Type of Problem The mortgage servicer ( MS ) has refused to deal with me in a fair and prudent way. What Happened? IN XXXX of XXXX, I was informed by the servicer that my monthly payment would be increased by 20 plus percent starting in XXXX of the same year. On XX/XX/XXXX, an immediate response was Faxed ( see attachment # 1 ) to the servicer requesting justification for the significant monthly increase. On XX/XX/XXXX, another written communication was Faxed to the servicer ( see attachment # 2 ), this response was to the MSs reply to my XX/XX/XXXX communication which informed me that the increase in the monthly payment was due to an escrow deficiency ( ED ). Even though, a copy of the escrow analysis was sent to me ( subsequent to the XX/XX/XXXX communication ), it wasnt until a phone conversation with one of its customer service representatives ( XX/XX/XXXX ), that it became clear that, the ED resulted from several new hazardous Insurance payouts to XXXX XXXX XXXX [ XXXX ] ( twice the amount of my authorized hazardous insurance carrier cost ). In XXXX of XXXX, I retrieved a refund from XXXX in the amount of {$2500.00}. This refund monies were forwarded to CMS ( XX/XX/XXXX ) with the following instructions and requests : That the monies be put back into my escrow account. That an immediate escrow analysis be conducted going back to XX/XX/XXXX. That my monthly mortgage payment be reduced to the amount it was prior to XX/XX/XXXX ( refer attachment # 3 ). Despite my having recovered the unauthorized disbursements ; and requesting an immediate review of my XXXX escrow analysis ( which triggered the significant increase in my monthly payments ) and my requesting the reversal of this increase, the MS ignored my request and continued to threaten foreclosure and continued imposing the 20 % plus monthly increase. Consumer Financial Protection Service 2 The MS continued its refusal to conduct an escrow until XX/XX/XXXX. Subsequent to this analysis, it acknowledged that my escrow account was not only fully funded but contains a {$2500.00} surplus. The MS informed me that, as of XX/XX/XXXX my monthly payment would be decreased to {$480.00}. However, the MSs Representatives insist that I pay the 20 % plus monthly amount, in addition to other fees and penalties ( Covering the period from XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX ). The MS refused to refund me the {$2500.00} ( in my escrow Account ). I am requesting that the MS not only refund me the {$2500.00} surplus presently in my escrow account but also cease and desist imposing the 20 % plus monthly payment, and any fees and penalties attached from XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. Complaint: I never applied for SCRA benefits with my mortgage company. At the beginning of XXXX XXXX XXXX alerted me that I had missed multiple payments on my mortgage dating back to XXXX. I did a hard pull on all 3 credit bureaus and verified they claimed I had missed 23 payments, and they claimed I owed XXXX dollars more on my mortgage than was was shown on my account. I logged into my account and the ledger was in utter disarray, almost a hundred entries on XX/XX/XXXX. I proceeded to call and ask what was going on they told me it was due to SCRA benefits and to call the credit bureaus which I did, it has been a month and still no resolution to my report. My credit score has taken a huge hit and I was turned down for a loan. What is my next step.
