Complaint: Carrington Mortgage Services began servicing my 30 year fixed rate mortgage in XX/XX/2014, it was transferred/sold to them by XXXX Mortgage. They have refused to provide any statements on my account. The only information I have available through their website for billing is the monthly/total amount due. When they took over my loan, my payments went from XXXX to XXXX and I don't know why without them providing any documentation on my monthly payments.

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, my mortgage was acquired by Carrington Morrgage Services, XXXX, California, from XXXX Mortgages. Since the acquisition, I have had nothing but unanswered problems. Beginning XX/XX/XXXX, my escrow payment was raised from approximately XXXX per month : XXXX of which was/is PMI, to XXXX. Carrington explained that XXXX was to cover a projected escrow shortage and would only continue for 12 months. My home owners insurance was XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. My tax was XXXX both years. I had no escrow shortage from the previous year ( XXXX-XXXX ). I requested an escrow analysis to explain how I could be XXXX short on my escrow when total payments from escrow for taxes, PMI, and insurance XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX would be XXXX and my escrow payin was XXXX ( a potential shortage of XXXX ). I received no answer and the woman was very rude. I have now paid XXXX to my escrow account from XX/XX/XXXX-present. Despite the 12 months time line, I am still paying the extra XXXX per month. My taxes, PMI, and insurance this year totaled XXXX. I have called XXXX times and requested a full escrow breakdown. I have yet to receive XXXX. I have absolutely no idea what my additional payments of XXXX have gone towards. In addition to this, Carrington has begun holding an overage payments I make towards principal. They hold it in an " unapploed funds account '' as a " suspense balance ''. Currently, I have XXXX in this account. I have been told they will only move those money if my account is current. Oddly, my account has been current, the funds have not been applied. I assume I am paying interest on my XXXX of principal balance. I exhausted with this company. My minimum payment rose from XXXX to XXXX, and XXXX per month raise is substantial for me as a single mother. I have paid almost XXXX to escrow this calendar year, all that has been paid out of my escrow is XXXX in PMI and insurance, yet my most recent statement shows an escrow balance of XXXX. How?!?! I can not get an answer. My XXXX requests for full escrow breakdown resulted in XXXX rude conversations with XXXX different reasons why I am paying almost XXXX per year to escrow and NO escrow breakdown. A year and a half in, I still have never gotten an escrow breakdown. Nor have I found out when and where my " suspense balance '' is applied. Please help, I beyond frustrated. I can not afford to continue paying XXXX per month on a loan of XXXX with a fixed 6.5 % rate.

I received the final Modification proposal from Carrington Mortgage Services on XX/XX/XXXX.Prior to the modification agreement, I was paying trial house payments of XXXX from XXXX, XXXX XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX. the previous loan agreement had the escrow included with mortgage insurance and property taxes. Unknowingly, when I received the final loan modification from Carrington Mortgage Services. I did not know that the new modification included the interest and principle ONLY making the new monthly loan XXXX .Also, being responsible for the escrow of housing insurance and taxes. I found this out when after receiving other notices form Carrington mortgage which I will enclosed with this complaint. Moreover, the real purpose for this unfair practice and premeditated maneuver is that prior to Carrington Mortgage Service assuming form the previous intercessor, XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was battling a complaint for predatory lending with them and had file with a Law Firm to obtain re-modification like so many other disadvantaged home owners. I did not pay my mortgage after having to pay law fees and the previous misses payments with multiple interest is {$36.00} accrued by Carrington Mortgage company. I will enclose evidences and motive for this unfair re-modification by Carrington Mortgage. In addition, I had already filed a complaint pervious to this on former file number:XXXX

Complaint: Carrington Mortgage Service acquired my mortgage from Citimortgage about 8 months ago. Since that time they have created many different problems for me overall being unable or unwilling or both to process their own documents and to resolve the issues. The issues have included requiring me to refinance my mortgage because the overall portfolio they purchased had too much risk, being unwilling to set up the auto payments through my bank to ensure on time electronic payments despite me filling out the paperwork XXXX ( XXXX with a notary public ), charging me extra fees to make payments just to keep my account up to date due to their own inability to process their documents, offering online bill pay through their website which never actually is able to process a payment, forgetting to close out the previous loan account which they required me to refinance which led to massive confusion about wether I had a loan with them or not, and the list goes on and on. This company has been torturing many americans over the last few months as can be seen based on XXXX personal reviews written all over the web describing similar problems after each person had their mortgage acquired from larger banks.

Complaint: I am a housing counselor for a non-profit hud certified housing counseling agency representing a client with Carrington Mortgage who has applied for a loan modification ; ( the loan mod process started with XXXX and then transferred to Carrington ) we have both contacted the lender repeatedly and on XXXX XXXX, they finally stated they had a complete package and they were waiting on the irs transcripts and title search to come back. Then on XXXX XXXX they closed the file for not us not providing documents. I have called with the client on conference with the lender and was advised the spoc had incorrectly notated the file and they did n't have all the documents and closed his file. They had mailed him another package and advised us we had to completely redo another file in order to be reviewed. I argued why should we have to start all over again when you already have all the information. I asked to speak to a manager and was adv one was not avail they were in remediation and that they would have to call me back. I also asked to be put to the spoc and she did n't even attempt to get her on the phone. This is the XXXX time they have made us restart and now are wanting it done a XXXX time. This client is/was current at time of submission.

Complaint: In XXXX 2015, XXXX XXXX XXXX sold my mortgage to Carrington Mortgage Services. When my loan left XXXX XXXX XXXX, everything was perfectly fine with my escrow account and my monthly mortgage payments. In fact, the month before it sold, I sent them a check for an escrow shortage. On XXXX XXXX, 2015, Carrington did an Escrow Analysis and somehow came up with a shortage in the amount of {$1100.00}, however, no one can explain to me where this shortage is coming from. It does n't really take a genius to figure it out. They are paying my taxes on the wrong dates. I have faxed them a XXXX page letter on XXXX XXXX explaining my discrepancies with my mortgage XXXX a copy of which is attached for reference ). Whenever I call Carrington, no matter who I get, their response is always " I do n't know '' No one there knows how to do their job. My property taxes are due in XXXX and XXXX each year. They are trying to pay my property taxes in XXXX and XXXX and so now that is where the shortage is coming from. They are paying taxes before they should. The XXXX County Auditors office has gotten numerous complaints about Carrington doing this and they are getting extremely irritated because it is creating more work for them. They do n't even know what our taxes are going to be each XXXX until the XXXX ballet passes. Tax bills do not go out until XXXX and are due in XXXX. So Carrington is sending wrong amounts to them! In addition, Carrington is paying too much for property taxes. My taxes are {$1300.00} a half and Carrington is paying {$1300.00}. They are trying to tell me that my mortgage is going up {$98.00} due to this shortage, yet they ca n't even explain the shortage. Again, no one at this company knows how to do their job. I know more than they do. I never had any problems with XXXX XXXX XXXX. Carrington has been a COMPLETE nightmare and action needs to be taken against them. I have sent them all the documentation they need, and XXXX again, I am attaching all that documentation to this Complaint. They better get it figured out soon or I plan to take further action against their company! This company is a FRAUD!

Complaint: I 've been trying for at least a month, to update my online password after it " expired '', but nothing I enter that would fit their criteria works. I 've made up passwords I 've never used before, made sure a person 's name on the account was n't used, the capital letter, small letter, special character, numeric, and at least XXXX characters long. Nothing works. I 've been trying to pay my loan and now there is a recording saying they are having technical difficulties and higher than expected call volume and to " call back later '' then click. I am not sure why XXXX sold my loan to them, but they have been nothing but a problem to make a simple payment online. There is no other phone number for technical difficulty. This all looks like a scam to charge a late charge or XXXX XXXX charge to me. I do not know why they think they need to decide for me, that I need to change my password, as long as it fit their criteria once.

Complaint: I am trying to purchase a home in XXXX MN. The lender approved us for a loan. We have done all of the standard things to get ready to close including scheduling XXXX closing dates that have been cancelled because the mortgage company will not give us a clear to close. When we get real close to the closing date the lender needs more unneccesary paperwork, ie: another paytub or another printout of account details from a stock. The sellers (and us the buyers) are becoming anxious about the transaction and I fear they will move on to the next offer even though we have done all we can from a buyers perspective.
