Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 a purchase was made XXXX for automotive fog lights for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and up vehicles through XXXX, the product is listed as being 100 percent compatible when the product was received they did not fit. I spoke with XXXX they said I would have to pay return shipping and so I opened a dispute with XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2018. They closed the dispute on XX/XX/2018 without contacting me, when contacting them they state a letter was sent over 9 business days ago which I have yet to receive.
Part of their process was to open a XXXX dispute against the company ( # XXXX ) without letting me know or my permission. I was informed that I would have to pay the charge as a re-bill even though the product does not fit my vehicle, I reached out to the company one more time on XX/XX/2018 and sent them proof that the product does not fit, on XX/XX/2018 they responded and said they would refund the money and pay return shipping. When they tried to refund the money they were unable to do so that there was an open XXXX dispute.
I spoke with capitol one on XX/XX/2018 at XXXX they stated they never opened the pay pal dispute and I would have to talk with XXXX. I contacted XXXX on XX/XX/2018 at XXXX and they advised me the dispute was opened by my financial institution ( Capitol One ) and it would have to be closed by them and they referred me back to Capitol One.
I spoke with Capitol One again on XX/XX/2018 at XXXX and they transfered me to a supervisor and he told me the dispute was closed and they could not close the paypal dispute.
I have no where else to turn to get this resolved, the company wants to refund me but can not because Capitol One will not close the XXXX dispute, and I can not cancel the XXXX dispute because I was not the party that initiated it Capitol One was. Capital One states they are reporting correctly but your agency is reporting it wrong. Capital One initiated the original dispute. Below is my credit report for said account. Complaint: I filled out FTC twice with XXXX for Capital One {$44000.00} and XXXX/XXXX XXXX 's {$1000.00} XX/XX/2018 called and spoke with a XXXX, she stated that she couldn't locate the FTC that I need to resend the FTC.Resent it again XX/XX/2018. Spoke with XXXX in XXXX stated she still couldn't locate the FTC, but XXXX put in a dispute in XXXX without the FTC stated that it came back verified with the information I sent XXXX. Another FTC was faxed on XX/XX/2018. Called XXXX XX/XX/2018 stating that they still can not delete because Capital One and XXXX XXXX had verified that it was my information with the information I sent to XXXX. I ask for an authorization number stated that the information was verified and XXXX representative couldn't provide one. A policy report was made in XX/XX/2018.

Complaint: Most of the time I pay off the whole amount each month. This summer I paid off only a portion, and - of course - expected some interest charge on the remaining balance. When I got the next two statements I was shocked to see that, even when my balance was negative ( i.e. paid off current amount due and had a credit for a returned item ) I was still charged interest.
When I complained to to Capital was One I was told that this is their " policy '' - that whenever an amount is outstanding - the company charges interest for two consecutive months. My question is - on what? Why is such an abusive policy allowed here?
I was informed that this is how it always has been that way - amazingly enough, it is true. I reviewed past statements and discovered that I do occasionally pay interest - on NO BALANCE due. ( statements attached ) This abusive " policy '' needs to be challenged. No other of my credit card companies employs such an abusive practice. " Banking re-imagined '' indeed! Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I applied for a business credit card with Capital One. I was approved pending review. After receiving an email, indicating primary documentation was required to be provided I complied by having to go into a local branch as I was told I could not reply immediately to the email they had sent. Despite the inconvenience, I went into the branch where a simple task of faxing over documents for verification, which I had, took over an hour. The banker initially lied that the fax machine wasn't working. After having to follow up with the banker on XX/XX/XXXX that the fax was received by the right department, I waited 72 hours before contacting the credit card department. The automated response unit upon me calling stated I was approved and that the credit card would be mailed within 10 business days. I chose the option to speak to a rep. to ascertain for how much I was approved. The rep. apologize for the error of the automated system and stated the documentation that I sent was not acceptable despite it being exactly what they requested -- the articles of organization. This has been escalated to the highest possible department and additional documentation was requested to which I have replied. The person in the Office of the President said she exhausted all possible channels and despite me providing two primary forms of documentation consistent with the information provided on the application about my business entity that there was nothing else that she can do. I feel Capital One is discriminating against me and my business. I also filed a complaint with the OCC. Case XXXX. They still have not responded to that and have exceeded 35 days.

Can't use card to make purchases
Complaint: My credit card was rejected at a restaurant recently. When I called to see what the problem was, I was told that I had tried to log in previously and had not completed the log in procedure. As I then recalled, I had tried to log in, and a warning said that I would need to receive a code from my XXXX or Smart Phone. As that is not possible, I chose the option to receive the code from my email address. No code arrived.
When I called the help desk after my credit was declined, the representative said that I would need to send a picture of my drivers license taken with my cell phone and send it to them. After, again, explaining that was not possible, he said that I would need to fax my drivers license to him. If I dont have a cell phone, I am unlikely to have a fax machine ( Does anyone fax anymore? ) I am XXXX years old and do not think that I should have to own an XXXX or Fax machine to verify my existence. Isnt giving the correct answer to my mothers maiden name, last 4 digits of my social security #, and answers to the 3 security question that I had given them to set up the account adequate?
