Credit card company won't increase or decrease your credit limit
Complaint: I have had this particular card for over a year and I have been in good standing paying off my balance in full each month. I have been spending over {$500.00} a month by making payments before my statement posts, but my credit limit has remained unchanged at {$500.00} for about a year. I was recently denied a credit line increase and I sent a written letter to the company asking for an appeal to this denial as the reasons cited in their automatic reply were vague and offered no guidance as to what would let me qualify for a higher limit. The low limit has caused some trouble when I travel abroad ( such as with hotel check in and such ). The reply I received was not helpful and declined to address my concerns.

Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Complaint: A fraudulent charge from XXXX appeared on my Capital One Visa credit card in XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX & XX/XX/2018. I reported the charges and they were refunded and my card was canceled and I was issued a new card. In XX/XX/XXXX another new fraudulent XXXX charge was added to my new credit card. I called to complain, they explained that the " updater services '' they provide, give the fraud account the new credit card number automatically and that's how they got it. They canceled my 2nd card, and issued a 3rd card. Capital One put a block on the merchant, apparently preventing them from making any new changes on my cards. Now for the month of XXXX, there is another pending charge from XXXX on my 3rd card and the cycle will continue and there's nothing I can do about it. I also called XXXX to inform them of the fraud and they did nothing to help me, because I can't give them the account number for an account I didn't create. How can any of this be legal????

Complaint: I received my credit report from XXXX and discovered hard inquiries on my credit report that should not have been there. I only allowed for XXXX XXXX to run my credit through Capital One. XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX had no permission to run my credit. I was just shopping around. I have submitted a complaint once before. I contacted both companies and they swear that did not have a department to handle those types of situations. XXXX XXXX at Capital One worked my FIRST complaint and respectfully declined to removed those unauthorized inquiries. I figured since XXXX is a privileged male living in THIS America, he wouldn't actually investigate the case. I was then advised to contact my State Attorney : consumer protection sanction to report both companies AND XXXX XXXX from Capital One. I completed that complaint today and I have faith that the State Attorney : consumer protection sanction will work their hardest to get fair treatment. PLEASE publicly post this so the people can be aware that XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX in XXXX, LA with run your credit without permission and that XXXX XXXX from Capital One will not do a through Investigation.

Trouble using the card to spend money in a store or online
Complaint: My husband gave me a 4 gift cards for {$250.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX & someone got my number & used one at the Saks in XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2018. I called the asset protection & they are not being much help. The New York store does not seem to know how to investigate in this matter.
The other 3 cards were used on XX/XX/2018 in XXXX XXXX. They were very helpful & already got the persons name. Theyre sending me a new gift card for {$750.00}.
I hope you can help me get my {$250.00} gift card back from the Saks in XXXX XXXX XXXX & find out what happen.

Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: Capital One has had to remove over {$7000.00} of fraudulent charges and interest from my card after a complaint was submitted to CFPB. The account still shows as a " Charge Off '' ; the account still shows a balance due ; the account still shows having mulitple delinquent payments.
This is in complete error : Since Capital One was forced to remove nearly 90 % of the charges and interest on the account there would be no way for the cardholder, myself, to know what was actually due and when. Capital One also has no way to back up any claims of late payments since the vast majority of the alleged debt has been removed as fraud. Capital One still can not provide me with the totals due monthly for the periods they are stating were delinquent. They also can not verify that there is still {$510.00} in charges left on the account. Any attempt to work with Capital One is simply responded to with " it's pending '' or that they are correct in their claim without any evidence to back up their statements or any attempt to allow me to communicate with a senior account manager to keep this from a damage to credit issue.

Complaint: I have a loan with CAPITAL ONE, N.A.. I have always made my payments on time. For some reason I realized that there was a late payment on my credit report. Complaint: This company has been reporting unverified and inaccurate information about me to the credit bureaus.
I have formally requested a copy of any documents, bearing my signature, showing that I have a legally binding contractual obligation to pay them the alleged amount and they have failed to provide such verification ( As per FTC opinion letter from Attorney XXXX XXXX XXXX, they have been made aware that a printout of a bill or itemized document does not constitute verification ).
In addition, I have formally disputed this derogatory account with this company and they have failed to place the required " notice of dispute '' disclosure within the required 30-day period and did not furnish the credit bureaus with the required disclosure, within the period required by law. I have retained a copy of their signature and date of receipt, as well as a time-stamped copy of my credit reports, showing that they have violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Section 623 ( a ) ( 3 ) and/or the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act Section 807 ( 8 ) by not placing the disclosure within the required 30-day period and I am now considering small claims action against them for their violations as well as for defamation and negligent enablement of identity fraud.

Complaint: Capital One at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NC XXXX-XXXX issued me a Spark Business card. Capital One emailed copies of several months of my credit card statements to a woman in Minnesota that I don't know. She contacted me to tell me that she had all of my credit card statement, my vendors information and my personal information. I contacted Capital One and cancelled the card. This breach of my account and my personal information was no big deal for them. They were apathetic about it. My business had to change all of our automatic payments with all of our vendors. I have no idea where else Capital One may have sent my information. They should be accountable for exposing me and my business to identity theft.

Complaint: I have had an account for ten years with XXXX XXXX XXXX which was bought out by Capital One a couple of years ago. I have always made my payment on time and done so by accessing my account via the internet.
Last year ( XXXX ) I filed bankruptcy on a company that I had, but did not include my XXXX account for several reasons ; 1 ) I have the motorcycle with a small balance I needed to keep, and 2 ) There is a co-signer on this account.
This account was started with the purchase of my motorcycle ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) and for some reason it was put on a credit card with an additional {$10000.00} credit limit. I never did understand why it was done this way.
During and after my bankruptcy last year, I have continued to make my payments!
Sometime around XXXX of XXXX I was no longer able to access my account via the internet, nor have I received any statements regarding my account and have not idea how my payments are being applied.
I have called them ( Capital One ) every month and all I get is the same none sense. Basically, No one seems to know what is going on. I was finally given an email address to send my request to ( XXXX ) They have refused to give me the payoff amount on my motorcycle of witch they have the pink slip and refuse to cooperate in any way other than they to seem to have no problem cashing my checks.
