Complaint: In XXXX I discovered my Barclay Credit Card was past due and I had been charged a late fee. I contacted the company and asked if they would waive the late fee and I would set up auto pay so this would not happen again. As a courtesy they waived the late fee and I set up auto pay for the minimum payment due on the due date of the XXXX of each month. This month, XXXX, I scheduled a payment for {$50.00}, then remembered that I already had the auto pay set up so I cancelled the {$50.00} payment. Today I checked to confirm that the minimum payment of {$27.00} had been made only to discover that not only was it not paid, but I was again charged a late fee. I checked my payment settings and confirmed that the auto pay was in place. I called the company to find out what the problem was and was told that when I cancelled the additional {$50.00} payment that also cancelled the auto pay and they refused to refund the late fee. This is an unfair practice. The scheduled payment should not have anything to do with the auto pay. They are set up in different areas of the website. I need your help and can provide documents.

Complaint: My roommate received a pre-approved notice from Barclay Bank for a credit card. We have the same address AND he is an authorized user on my current Barclay Bank Delaware credit card. He submitted the application, however, they claim the letter was meant for me and they used my SS # to pull the credit report. He contacted them and they explained the reason it was n't approved ( no big deal ) was his name did n't match my SS #. He was provided with a ref # XXXX so that I could call and have the inquiry removed from my credit bureau since this was obviously an error on their part. I called and got nowhere.

Complaint: I attempted to add my friend as an authorized user to my Barclays XXXX XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/2016. My account was placed in a limited mode with absolutely no warning or notice given to me on XXXX/XXXX/16. I am unable to make any purchases. I called Barclaycard XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/16 and spoke to the front line CSR. She informed me that they had requested certain information from me and it was not received. She stated that the request for information was sent yesterday ( XXXX/XXXX/16 ). I received no such request, and no requests at all. I decided i did not want to deal with card shutdowns on my own account, so I asked to withdraw the request to add an authorized user to my account. The front line CSR stated that this was impossible now that the notation was on my account requesting information. I then stated that I wanted to cancel my account. I was told i could not cancel my account. I asked to speak to a supervisor. XXXX, the supervisor, restated the same inforamation that the front line CSR had stated. It 's impossible for me to fathom that I can not close my own credit card account. I have paid off the entire balance on my card, maintained a very positive relationship, and have never had a late payment.

Complaint: Greetings, I formerly held a XXXX XXXX XXXX, administered by Barclay Bank. After the merger of XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX, my card was converted to an XXXX XXXX " XXXX. '' I did not receive the card in the mail. I did not receive the terms and conditions by mail, email or any other way. I never possessed the card. I did not activate the card. Regardless of this, XXXX converted my autopay settings, which provided automatic payments from my XXXX checking account. They charged me an annual fee on the card I did not apply for, did not want, did not possess, and did not activate. Then they collected partial payment from my checking account and began to charge interest on this annual fee. It took a few months for me to notice, but when I did, I called and requested that the card be cancelled immediately. They promised to cancel it. It was not cancelled. They continued charging me fees, interest etc, and taking money directly from my XXXX checking account. I called again, and requested to cancel the card and a refund from all fees/interest charged on this card. They refused, and I asked for at least a refund on payments that took place after I called to cancel the card and they failed to cancel it. In short, I was charged an annual fee + interest + servicing fees for a card I did not apply for, did not want, did not possess, and did not activate. Is this legal? I would like to file a complaint against Barclays Bank, XXXX, and XXXX.

Complaint: I had failed to make a timely credit card payment to Barclaycard XXXX XXXX. This was just a matter of forgetting to pay my bill. Received an email notification reminding me of my need to pay and that it was delinquent. My Account balance to pay was {$180.00}, due XXXX/XXXX/2016. My new statement with additional purchases of {$2700.00} arrived with a due date of XXXX/XXXX/2016. My new statement indicated a late fee of {$27.00} which is standard. It also had an interest XXXX of {$34.00} which is for the unpaid balance of {$180.00} and should not be applied to the new purchases until that payment is delinquent. So an interest charge of {$34.00} for {$180.00} equals 18.29 % for 1 month! or 220 % annualized. Check their math!

Complaint: I was charged a late fee for for a payment that was on time. The money was withdrawn from my bank account by the company on XX/XX/XXXX but they did not post the payment to my Barclaycard account until XX/XX/XXXX. This resulted in a late payment fee of {$25.00}. I contacted the company and informed them of the error, and I was told that it is their policy to hold the payment for one to two days for processing. Although they physically had my cash in their account, they did not process my payment until the next day. They have refused to reverse the fee.

Complaint: As part of a divorce and bankruptcy proceedings in the Fall of XXXX, i notified XXXX XXXX XXXX that XXXX XXXX needed to be removed from the account before she filed for bankruptcy in XXXX of XXXX. Since i was no longer responsible for this account per the divorce agreement, this account was not included in the bankruptcy. I was sent a form, which my ex husband and i filled out and returned prior to her bankruptcy proceeding. Following the discharge of her bankruptcy late last year, I pulled her credit report. i informed my ex husband i was still on the account. During XXXX and XXXX he incurred several late payments, before paying the entire balance in XXXX XXXX The account is still reflected on my credit bureau along with the late payment behavior from my ex husband. My ex husband called on this initially in XXXX and was directed to a department that said this would be handled. He was told that it could take 30 days to correct. At this time nothing has been corrected. He called back and was told that they ca n't even transfer him to the correct department due to the fact that the account has been closed for too long. I was directed to address correspondence to this address. Barclays responded that there was not an error in reporting. They purposely have ignored court documents specifying i was no longer responsible for the account. This was communicated to them in XXXX, followed up in XXXX and then again in XXXX when i realized it was never corrected. i am a single divorced female with children trying to reestablish my credit after bankruptcy ( which was discharged in XXXX XXXX and should be removed from my bureau in XXXX XXXX - 7 years after filing ). The delinquencies from the credit card account i am referencing are leading to higher interest rates and increased auto insurance rates. We followed Barclays request for information and they have intentionally ignored court documents indicating i am no longer responsible for this account. I could have easily included it in the Bankruptcy in XXXX and not been responsible for the account but due to the legal documentation in the divorce papers it was not included. if you need divorce documents please contact me.

Complaint: On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, Barclay closed my Barclay Arrival MasterCard account and sent a letter indicating the following : We have recently conducted a review of our accounts. Following this review, we regret to advise you that we are unable to maintain an account with you because of your history of account usage. Your account has been closed in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Cardmember Agreement that governs your account. '' Upon receipt of this letter, I called Barclay 's on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and spoke to a customer service representative and a manager. I asked them for the reason why my account was closed without any warning and they basically just repeated what the letter had stated and that they could not provide any more details. I told them that I had XXXX Barclay Arrival points in this account that I can no longer access because the account is now closed. The manager stated that there was nothing he could do to get those points to be credited back to me. These points are worth approximately {$1500.00} if they are redeemed towards travel expenses such as hotels, airfare, etc. I was travelling to XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. Had planned to use my points for travel during that period. But they cancelled my card while I was in XXXX and hence could n't use Barclay card during my international travel at all. I am unhappy with the way that they have closed my account. I have never ever been late on making payments and keeping outstanding balance well within my credit limit. I would have appreciated if Barclay 's had at least notified me about what I had been doing that was unsatisfactory, so that I could have avoided being closed. Instead they closed my account without any warning. I was planning to downgrade my card to basic one anyways but they said there was not a way to do so and they would not even refund or compensate for my points that I accumulated for my international travel, which is what they point out as best benefit associated with the credit card to begin with. Its very unethical and rude on Barclay 's part and caused huge discomfort as I had planned to rely on them for the duration of my stay in XXXX.

Complaint: I applied for a Barclays world master card and shortly after I received a email stating that it was approved and the card was on the way. I also applied for XXXX more Barclays credit cards within a two day period.shortly after applying for the latter XXXX cards. I later received a email stating that I need to call in and verify information associated with my credit card application. When I called in to speak with the rep he stated that " the system could n't pull up any public database question and that I needed to send in a copy of my drivers license, ssn card, and a current utility bill. The strange thing is when I logged in to the online account I created for the Barclay world master card database question popped right up with no issues. I answered all the and passed the identity verification. When I received my Barclays world master card in the mail and attempted to activate it. the card it was blocked and It prompted me to call in and speak to a representative. when I spoke to the representative he asked me " verify my identity again. '' I again answered all of the question and rep stated he said congratulation your card is approved, a few mins later I attempted to make a purchase online only to find out that my purchase was declined so I had to call back in a 3rd time and they stated that i needed to send in '' ID ''. Are you serious??? according to the system I passed identity verification twice. what is the need of sending in my sensitive personal information that will pass threw god know who 's hands. I got approved for XXXX XXXX credit cards the same weekend with a different bank and have already received the cards with no issues. so at this point I would like to just close the account and have the trade line removed from my report. barclay is a total joke and I do n't want any of there cards ever in life.
