Complaint: On XXXX separate out of the United States traveling vacations my credit card company has declined purchases with my credit card, even though they were verbally told and also giving instructions on their online website that I would be doing so including the dates and the countries. I am currently in XXXX and advised the credit card company before leaving of my dates when I would leave when I would return and while I am here they declined my credit card and re-issued another credit card to be sent to my home address in the United States. Since I am still on the XXXX vacation, and they invalidated the credit card I can not use it and it becomes useless to me. I found them and told them I was still in XXXX that they had all the information that I would still be here and basically their answer was sorry I ca n't help you. I have documentation to the fact that I have advised him before about this problem and they said that they would correct it and take care of it yet it seems to me that situation continues and if anything gets worse.

Complaint: My name and social security was used to open numerous credit cards and loans with various banks. XXXX and XXXX has release me from being responsible for these account. However, Barclay refuse to file as a fraudulent account because of the retracted conversation in 2014. However, XXXX XXXX is the person who contacts Barclay concerning the account in my name and two other family members. They have not sent me a copy of the application and procedure of how identity was proven to them when requested. They refuse to talk to me about the case and stated that it is closed from their end. I do n't know how they accepted and approved an application fraudulently. I was told to go online to access further information on this account. However, I can not access anything because I do n't have any information on this account- no credit cards or statements.

Complaint: I disputed a charge with barclaycard, in writing, over 2 months ago. I have proof of this as I used an online registered mail service, so I can prove I sent the letter and prove the content of said letter. I closed my account a few days ago, and in my final bill they reposted the disputed transaction. When I contacted them they sent form mail telling me to submit another dispute.

Complaint: My Barclaycard Arrival+ account was shutdown without any warning or notice on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I had XXXX points available on that card valued at {$2100.00} in travel credit. I sent Barclaycard a certified, return receipt letter that they received on XXXX XXXX, XXXX asking for an explanation as to why my accounts were shutdown and to have them reinstated. If that was not possible, I asked to be compensated for my loss of points. As of today, XXXX XXXX, XXXX I have not received a response. I feel that Barclaycard was deceptive in their advertising practices by allowing me to earn 2 % back in travel credit, and then closing my account without any notice, thus giving me no opportunity to redeem my points.

Complaint: Recently, I went to use my Barclay Rewards credit card only to have the purchase declined. I found that very surprising because I was n't contacted by Barclays before the decline. I was even more surprised since in an effort to reduce my credit card balances I used my entire annual bonus I received to pay down my total credit card balances by over 25 %. I made it a point to pay Barclays the most - I paid my card down {$900.00} on XXXX/XXXX/16 via eft. I also made a regularly scheduled monthly payment to Barclays, and do n't believe I was ever delinquent. When I got home on XXXX/XXXX/16, the same day of my declined purchase, I immediately called Barclays and spoke to a few individuals ( rep last name XXXX, ID XXXX and also XXXX, ID XXXX ) who simply said my account was closed due to negatives items on my credit report. Yes, I know I have some, but for Barclays to close my account AFTER I made a substantial payment to them and other creditors was devastating, and honestly I think disingenuous on their part. To make matters worse, I know their act of closing my account further damaged my credit rating! It should be noted that NONE of my other creditors closed any of my accounts and XXXX XXXX actually reached out to me to work out a payment plan that I also completed on XXXX/XXXX/16 AND they have reactivated ALL privileges on my XXXX accounts I have with them - despite the fact that I was previously delinquent on my accounts with them! The point is to demonstrate the totally disparate treatment I received from XXXX creditors - XXXX, XXXX XXXX reached out to me to resolve my issues, the other, Barclays, closed my account AFTER I made a substantial payment and without advance notice. Although the date of the notice that finally did arrive from Barclays, and it was dated XXXX/XXXX/16, I know for a fact it came days AFTER my purchase was declined. Ironically, just today, XXXX/XXXX/16 I received another notice from Barclays dated XXXX/XXXX/16 acknowledging my complaint, and giving me an XXXX to call. Now, why would I waste my time at this point when the damage is done?!

Complaint: I opened an account with Barclay card one year ago and I have never been late on a payment. All of a sudden, Barclays charged me a fee of {$500.00} as interest, running my account over the limit. This action represented the greatest threat of default on the card. It was bait and switch predatory lending in its worst form. I contacted the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and Barclays turned around to waive the {$500.00} fee. However, in addition they used a new underhanded tactic to institute a punitive predatory interest rate of over 25 % on the account. This interest rate is higher than the 5-6 % interest rate that I currently have on my other accounts with other banks. Apart from being exploitative, It is a sure guarantee that this credit card will go into unavoidable default. There is no justification for this predatory lending practice. Thank you.

Complaint: I paid my credit card statement on the day it was due. The statement shows a due date of XXXX XXXX. There is no disclosure on my statement stating the payment is due before a certain time and time zone. I paid about XXXX CST only after I attempted to call twice and was on hold for long periods of time BEFORE XXXX CST to make a phone payment. I could n't get through, so therefore I went to pay online. by it was passed XXXX CST by a few minutes. The system would not allow me to pay on XXXX XXXX, and I was FORCED to schedule the payment for XXXX XXXX. This process incurred a late fee of {$25.00}. I have emailed them several times requesting them to waive the fee due to the issues I had trying to pay by phone. They have disregarded my request. I have explained to them that their statements do not disclose a " cut off : '' time. I specifically shows to pay by the due date. I am asking to have late fee removed and any interest that incurred due to the late fee.
