Complaint: I fell for a well orchestrated sale pitch by a group called " It 's Just Lunch '' and let them charge {$2800.00} on my Barclays Bank credit card. When I soon realized it was a scam ( 8 days ), I called Barclays Bank to dispute the charge. I mentioned that this company was the subject of a class action suit for scamming others like they did me. Barclays waited 30 days and came back with the lame excuse that they could not take sides in this case and they could not dispute the charge with the merchant. I sent them an email to cancel my card. They turned around and added a {$75.00} annual fee and charged me {$50.00} for a late fee ( 4 days late ) for not making my payment on time. The whole thing cost me {$2900.00}. I can not believe this bank is allowed to operate in our state. I 've spoken with XXXX the Attorney General 's office ( XXXX ) and they are also reviewing the case.

Complaint: I 've spoken with Barclays Bank office of the President. Who clearly stated that my last payment on this account was XXXX XXXX. I 've found Consumer Protection financial bureau statement in your file your file dated XXXX XXXX. Where Barclays Bank verified my last payment on XXXX XXXX, XXXX and they told you that since there where no other payments from XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX that they charged the account off. If Barclays told CPFA one thing in XX/XX/XXXX and lied about in XX/XX/XXXX. That 's a deception, inaccurate lie that this company is reporting to XXXX and XXXX. CPFA case # XXXX. Complaint: On XXXX XXXX 2016, I paid off the balance of my account of XXXX . At that point on XXXX XXXX I had a XXXX balance on the account. 3 weeks later, there was a finance charge assessed to the account of about XXXX . Thinking I had paid this off, I did n't use the account again and put that cred card in a drawer. 5 months later I get letter in the mail saying that they were closing my account and it was past due XXXX . They kept penalizing for a residual finance charge. I was never contacted about any sort of late payment by phone, text or email Every other credit card company I have ever dealt with has always contacted me and to let it go 5 months with out contacting me is crazy! Not only that but every other credit card company waves residual finance charges. I 'd have been more than happy to pay the XXXX finance charge, but they did n't inform me that they made a charge to my account ... by even something as a statement.

Complaint: I had four accounts with Barclays Bank. All four of the accounts were closed without prior notice. Three of them had not been used in a while, but the fourth ( Barclay XXXX XXXX ) was active and used often. All accounts were paid in full and on time. The bank refused to give me any reason for the closure of the Barclay XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ), despite my repeated requests on the phone and via email. I have never had any accounts closed in my 40+ years of having credit cards. When I requested a refund of my annual fees, I was told they would not be refunded. I had unused travel rewards of XXXX, which would have been good to offset XXXX of travel related charges. I had more than that in travel related charges against which I could have used the travel rewards. They have refused to give me any credit for those rewards.

Complaint: I received a Barclays Bank Delaware XXXX XXXX in XXXX of XXXX. A few months ago, Barclays began reporting that a card issued in XXXX is also mine. It is not. They say i need the account number, which i do not have as it is not mine. The owner of the other card pays on time as do i. We both seem to have great credit. However, i am buying another home soon and ca n't allow this on my bureau. When i contact the Bureaus, they contact Barclays and Barclays insist it is my card. I suspect they data entered a wrong SSN or something. If not, they should see it is XXXX seperate SSN 's and XXXX seperate addresses, as i do not get the other person 's bill. I do n't believe this is fraud. I believe it is arrogance and stupidity.

I have been working with my credit file and I have also had a freeze on all XXXX credit bureaus so I can monitor my credit what is left. XXXX Barclays Card ending in XXXX is still on my credit file, I have just sent them proof of being a victim in XXXX with IRS. I am asking for them to remove this alleged account from my credit file and I have sent them my police reports showing ID Theft. Complaint: XXXX 's client, XXXX XXXX XXXX is an identity theft victim. Several credit accounts were established and attempted using his information without his consent. Once of these accounts was attempted with Barclay 's Bank Delaware. The attempt left an inquiry on his credit report that is related to the fraudulent activity. A dispute was sent by this office on behalf of our client to Barclay 's Bank twice in an effort to remove the inquiry as fraud related as outlined in the FCRA. Both times Barclays Bank has denied removal of the data stating the factor in keeping the inquiry listed is an email address that is not even correct for the client. I have explained to Barclay 's bank that per the FCRA a police report was provided indicting this attempt was fraud related however Barclay 's Bank is continuing to violate the FCRA.
