Complaint: In checking my credit report I noticed that my credit limit had been reduced. I was not previously notified. I contacted the company and was advised that my limit was too high and so my limit was reduced. I asked about with reducing my credit that that still keeps my limit high to appear that my card is now maxed out which would affect my credit. The rep was nasty as said that it is their money that they are loaning me and they can take it back when they get ready because it 's their money.

Complaint: I called my credit card company to request a letter confirming a transaction ( {$6500.00} on XXXX/XXXX/2015 ). I needed this because of a dispute with XXXX regarding a hospital bill I had paid. The representative seemed very confused by my simple request but eventually said that he would " submit a ticket ' for the request. When I had not received anything after 2 weeks, I called once again and asked to speak to a manager. I explained again what I needed and the importance of getting my request completed in a timely manner and was told that the ticket had been sent to the wrong department and that a letter had been sent to me to say that I would have to pay {$5.00} for the research and that the research could n't begin until I had received the letter and called them to confirm that I would pay for the research. I never did receive this letter ( or any other communication regarding my request from them ).
It has been over a month and they are unable or unwilling to help me with this request. In addition, they were dishonest in informing me that they had sent a letter to me.
I am now in a situation where despite providing my credit card statement and a hospital statement showing that I made the payment I can not get this resolved until I receive the transaction verification from my credit card company.

Complaint: i am trying to get a fraudulent card company off my credit report because i am a victim of id theft and the company wont do anything because my information matches my public record witch OK if your a victim of id theft your information is going to match you public record thats why its called id theft. the company is barclaycard us which i was told by XXXX that they wont remove the account be cause everything matched my public record if they can show me the application with my signature on it saying that i signed up then fine i have to pay it but if they cant by law they have to get rid of the file/account.

Complaint: XXXX reversed a ligitimate payment on my Barclays credit card on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX totaling {$2100.00}. This payment was authorized by my husband XXXX XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX after receiving an insurance settlement. We were married and living in the same household on XXXX. XXXX committed adultry and abandoned me financially and i filed for legal separation on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. My atty. advised me to change my locks, garage doors and security system codes due to I owned the home. I have contacted Barclays on three occassions- customer service, fraud department and customer relations and nothing has been done to help me in this situation.
I am wanting Barclays to take this reversal off my account and absorbed by their bad debt reserve or take action against XXXX and bring my balance back under my credit limit. I can not afford to pay this or affect my credit score negatively. I have a text message from XXXX XXXX stating that he was well aware of the payment made to this card.

Complaint: I have monthly and yearly subscription and some I do n't even remember.
So to protect myself, I report a stolen credit card. I received the new card from Barclay Card and to be safe I moved my monthly subscription to XXXX XXXX.
As now, I have a charge from XXXX that I did not authorized this charge and I called Barclay for the second time. They told me that as long that I did not cancel my subscription, the merchant will update with my new CCS ... and I can not get on hold with XXXX.
The big issue that I have with Barclay card is if there is a dispute is between me and the merchant, not with Barclay Card. As with XXXX XXXX, I received notification asking if I recognize the transaction ... and if there is a dispute, merchant will get back with me ... but it is not the role of Barclay XXXX to mange the dispute with fees and what so ever. I called Barclay on XXXX/XXXX/16 and nothing was done. I just call now, spoke to a man ... we went over the issue and he put me on hold ... I call around XXXX Pacific Time and now 43 minutes later ... it rings busy and it hangs up.
Please ... we need some kind of protection and stop Barclay Card with this unlawful Act.

Complaint: On my Barclays XXXX Red Mastercard, I was given an incentive to earn XXXX XXXX XXXX miles by spending {$500.00} or more XX/XX/2016. I did just that, spending {$500.00} in XXXX, {$500.00} in XXXX, and {$500.00} in XXXX. My XXXX statement even shows the miles as having been earned ( " Bonus or promotional miles earned this period + XXXX '' ), but the miles never posted to my XXXX XXXX account XXXX XXXX XXXX. My account was by closed by Barclays in XXXX, which I accept is their right ... .but the miles I had already earned by completing their bonus spending incentive should be mine to keep.

Complaint: Unauthorized account, mishandling of dispute, poor customer service.
My XXXX blue XXXX XXXX account was sold ( " converted '' ) to Barclaycard on XXXX XXXX, 2016. My XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX account was cancelled and my outstanding balance was transferred to Barclaycard without my consent. My Barclaycard arrived in the mail and I learned that I needed to pay my outstanding XXXX XXXX balance to Barclaycard. However I had no access to XXXX XXXX on line account information or customer service after the conversion and Barclaycard did not yet have the information about transaction on my XXXX XXXX Account. So I paid my XXXX XXXX balance to Barclaycard, but also requested that Barclaycard send me statements regarding my XXXX XXXX transactions.
When those statements arrived with my prior XXXX XXXX transactions, I realized that there was an unauthorized charge on my XXXX XXXX account on XXXX XXXX, 2016. After trying to work with the merchant, I determined that the merchant was not willing to resolve the issue and issue a refund. But when I contacted XXXX XXXX I was advised that I needed to contact Barclaycard for any customer service or dispute.
XXXX XXXX, 2016 I called Barclaycard on and initiated a dispute regarding the unauthorized charge. I did not receive any case number or letter documenting the dispute, nor were the funds put back on my card. I heard nothing at all. I contacted Barclaycard again regarding this matter on the following dates : XXXX XXXX, 2016 Status check- case pending, no information XXXX XXXX Status check-case pending, no information XXXX XXXX Status check- was told they would send the dispute to the " back '' for escalation so I could get an answer.
XXXX XXXX, 2016 Spoke with two agents about the dispute : XXXX : Said dispute had not been handled correctly but it was probably because of the conversion. Requested higher escalation to Client Relations and said I should get a call or a letter sometime within a couple of weeks. However she could not provide me with any documentation of the dispute or case number.
XXXX Dispute supervisor ( Reference number XXXX ) Explained that XXXX XXXX was responsible for handling the dispute since the charges went through before the conversion. So that is why Barclaycard was not handling the dispute in the usual way. That is why I did n't get any letter or documentation that the dispute had been opened. The dispute had been sent to XXXX XXXX but nothing had been received from them and that XXXX XXXX was not being compliant with the agreement.

Complaint: We contacted Barclay Card with XXXX XXXX XXXX over XXXX charges to XXXX with a billing dispute. XXXX never credited the account on their end and then proceeded to charge us twice. When I contacted them to put in a dispute they told me it would be taken care of and not to pay it. About a month and half later I woke up to discover they had put back the charges to XXXX. They advised me that they have no dispute rights because the dispute was not completed properly or entered properly into their system and XXXX sent them documents. I requested those documents on XXXX XXXX and still as of the date of this complaint have received nothing. Repeated calls to them have garnered no help except that they would look into it which they never did. They are refusing correct their representatives error and process the dispute that I requested just telling me that it is a one time deal.
In addition I submitted a payment to them in XXXX for the amount of interest bearing balance as I have some items on a no interest promotion. They did not apply it to the interest bearing amount instead to the promotion and their response was that they always go to the promotion first. I thought they had to apply this to the most expensive interest portion first.
Some of the items were never even placed on promotion instead on lower interest rate. They have also refused to correct this.

Complaint: Sometime in XXXX I applied for a Barclay XXXX XXXX card. For some reason I was initially declined, which was very confusing to me because I had never been denied credit so I called them. They explained that for some reason a credit check was never made and the CSR pulled my credit ( after asking my permission ) and approved me for the credit card. This was around XXXX XXXX. I received my card and put some expenses on it. This card had a signup bonus and I nearly reached the spending threshold with this first bill. Then, for a reason that BARCLAY REFUSES TO EXPLAIN, they cancelled my card. Noone will explain why my card was shut down but I believe this was because it was an easy way to save them the {$440.00} signup bonus ( which they claim I 've forfeited because they 've shut me down. ) This is total XXXX. While I understand that they have the right to choose who they allow to have their card, they have no right to bait me to sign up for credit ( causing an inquiry on my credit report ) only to immediately shut me down without explanation and to seize my points. These points are as good as cash so I view this as they stole from me!
