Complaint: Barclays has surreptitiously re-aged the debt purportedly owed to them. Barclays reported to the credit reporting agencies that payments were made at sporadic dates in XXXX, in an attempt to extend and/or circumvent the Fair Credit Reporting Act requirement that debts older than seven years must be removed. The alleged debts owed and reported are older than seven years. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I received mail from Barclays about an alleged debt owed. I checked my credit report through XXXX and the debt has been reported as an adverse account. [ Account # XXXX ( Please note : XXXX omitted account 's last XXXX digits for security reasons ] .I sent via certified mail [ Mailed XXXX/XXXX/XXXX ; received XXXX/XXXX/XXXX ] a request to Barclays to provide me with the following : 1. the amount of the debt ; and 2. proof of the last payment made on the account. Barclays did not provide me with any of the information requested.

Complaint: Barclaycard sent me balance transfer checks in the mail. I deposited one into my checking account and they did not pay it because they said I did not have the full amount available. I looked at my recent transactions and I did swipe the card taking me under the {$500.00} that I wrote the check for but I had the charge reversed. The reversal of the charge is dated on XXXX/XXXX/2016 the same day that the charge was made. Barclaycard got the balance transfer check on XXXX/XXXX/2016 and they did not honor it. They told me that they did not post the credit to the account before they posted the debit to the account. Them not paying the check resulted in my bank charging me XXXX NSF fees and a charge back fee totaling {$100.00} Barclaycard tried to also charge me a {$27.00} returned check fee that they did reverse but I feel extremely disappointed that I had to pay {$100.00} because they did not pay my check.

Complaint: Barclay Bank XXXX Delaware allowed a fraudulent credit card to be opened in my name, after notifying them, providing a Police report regarding identity theft, documents showing that the account was not my account and opened without my knowledge, the representative was rude and stated that it was in her opinion that my wife Opened the account and that I needed to provide a police report naming her as the suspect for them to address my concerns, and that despite the numerous items that showed that the account was not mine, they continue to leave the account on my credit, it a damaged my credit score and continues to do so.
