Complaint: 1 ) I purchased a train ticket for XXXX 2 ) My connecting transportation was delayed and consequently I missed the train. 3 ) I dispute the transaction with barclay, give details and wait. 4 ) After 2 months of waiting, I call Barclay and ask for an update on the dispute. They inform me the dispute is over and the the provisional credit is now permanent. 5 ) 1 week later I receive a letter in the mail saying I lost the dispute and have to pay the XXXX 6 ) I speak with Barclay twice and to a manager. They refuse to do anything for me.

Complaint: Last week after logging into my Barclays online account to make a payment, I was shocked to find that all of my credit card accounts had been closed. I made a payment to my Barclay XXXX XXXX account on Thursday, XXXX XXXX and my account was closed later that same day without my knowledge or consent. On XXXX, XXXX XXXX I tried to pay off the balance of my Barclay XXXX XXXX card which is when I noticed that all my cards/accounts had been closed. I called Barclay customer service immediately and asked for an explanation for the surprise closure, and after over 30 minutes on the phone, was told there was no explanation and that I would have to wait for a letter from the bank. I was told that I needed to wait for a letter of explanation for further information. I have since received all three letters from Barclays which said the same thing. The letters state that my accounts were closed due to " Your history of account usage '', which is incredibly vague. I am not even sure what that means, nor have I ever had an account closed for any reason. I have been a good customer for Barclays, using my cards often domestically and internationally, and have maintained good standing with all of my credit cards with the bank. Just in the past two months, I traveled abroad to XXXX, XXXX and XXXX and used my Barclay XXXX card there many times. I had opened a case ( # XXXX ) on XXXX XXXX, XXXX just two weeks before my account was closed - asking Barlcay to allow me to use points to pay for a series of travel expenses that I incurred on my recent trip with points that I earned. That case was approved XXXX XXXX, XXXX, just 3 days before my account was closed. If Barclay was so unhappy with my account, why did the bank approve my request? Why did they allow me to make a payment on one of my cards and then shut down all of my accounts that same day? I have been a Barclay customer for years and am still shocked at this account closure. XXXX is being deceptive with their business practices in promoting a credit card with rewards and then shutting down my account with no prior notice and not allowing me to redeem my rewards. I have contacted the bank several times since that time regarding the closure and have not received any explanation from numerous people including managers except for " history of usage ''. In my phone conversation with a manager ( XXXX, employee # XXXX ) at Barclays on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, I was told that the company will not refund my annual fee, and that I would only receive half of the points refunded that I am entitled too, and also that the bank will not issue me the 5 % redemption bonus. Upon the date of my account closure, on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, I had earned XXXX XXXX points worth XXXX cent a piece as statement credits, worth {$2600.00} plus the 5 % redemption bonus of XXXX points or {$130.00} for a total of {$2700.00}. Consumers have the right to have annual fees refunded within 60 days of issuance. My annual fee of {$89.00} was charged on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and the account was closed on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. That annual fee should be refunded as well, as my account was still active within the 60 day window when my account was closed. The fair and correct total amount Barclays owes me ( via check ) is {$2600.00} ( points earned ) + {$130.00} ( 5 % redemption bonus ) + {$89.00} ( annual fee ) = {$2800.00}.

Complaint: I contacted XXXX XXXX card customer service run by Barclays on, or around XX/XX/XXXX to dispute a charge from XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$69.00}. Initially, I thought this was a fradulent charge because I did not remember making the purchase. XXXX, in turn, canceled, then re-issued my credit card. At this time I was also referred to the dispute department and was assured the disputed charge would be removed after they confirmed with the vendor ( XXXX XXXX. ) The conversations, as I understand it, were document by XXXX and they do not dispute the fact that I reported this. I followed up on a monthly basis for appoxiamtely 4 months until XXXX stopped corresponding. on XX/XX/XXXX I again noticed a charge from XXXX XXXX for {$69.00} for a re-curring membership. My first thought was, part of the reason we re-issued a card was so XXXX could not re-charge my card in the future. After a one hour phone conversation, XXXX was able to conference call XXXX XXXX and finally cancel my account and refund this years charge. Last years charge has never been resolved.

Complaint: I recently opened a XXXX XXXX XXXX through Barclays. I set it up for automatic payments. I then received a notice that my bill was past due. I called. Representative cancelled my past due charge and I authorized payment of the amount due which was about {$160.00}. He then set up payment for my next bill and said after that it would be automatic. On XXXX XXXX my account showed a payment of approximately {$3500.00}. Today my account shows a second payment of {$3500.00}. When I called Barclays to ask that they reverse the second payment they said my card shows a credit of {$3500.00} but they can not return it to my bank without an investigation which will take 7-10 business days. This is unethical at best. I want my money returned immediately. When the account was paid in full it should have shown a XXXX balance for the automatic payment on the XXXX. Clearly their system is flawed in many ways and should be investigated. I hope for a rapid fix to this situation.

Complaint: I sent in payments of {$69.00} and the bank shows it cleared on XX/XX/XXXX, a {$19.00} payment and the bank shows it cleared on XX/XX/XXXX, and a {$530.00} money order on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX/XXXX XXXX lost all three payments. They asked for proof and I sent them the banks print out of their stamp showing the two back checks were paid. The {$530.00} money order ( # XXXX ) was sent in the same envelope as another money order for {$590.00} ( # XXXX ) on XX/XX/XXXX. The {$590.00}. got applied toward my mothers credit card and shows cashed on XX/XX/XXXX. The {$530.00}. money order which was to be applied to my credit card wasnt applied to my credit card. I faxed a copy of both sides of the money orders also with instructions to contact XXXX XXXX to verify it had been cashed. After I faxed them the documentation, I received a letter from XXXX stating they couldnt ( wouldnt actually ) contact XXXX XXXX to verify their own company cashed the money orders. As they were in the same envelope, I know XXXX/XXXX had to be the one to cash them both. XXXX XXXX charges a {$15.00} fee to tell you who cashed the money order. You can go through their phone system and enter the money order number in and it tells you the date it was cashed. XXXX essential y has done nothing to resolve their loosing these payments. Its going on two months and they still havent gotten this resolved

Complaint: I have disputed charges for services to my BarclayXXXX XXXX following the dispute process of the card issuer, by multiple telephone calls as well as via letter. The charges were for verterinary services provided by Texas XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The services provided were of poor quality and were provided by XXXX school students who were not properly supervised by experienced veterinary clinicians, and resulted in the XXXX of my young dog. I have contacted the merchant, who has not resolved the issue, on several occasions prior to contacting the card issuer, XXXX XXXX. The credit card issuer has taken every opportunity to first discourage me from disputing the services, reluctantly entering the dispute, and contacted me by telephone today to inform me that while they had provided provisional credit to my account, they are now recharging my account and not pursuing the dispute because the charges were for services which were already rendered. I responded that of course they were already rendered, but that I still had the right to dispute the charges due to the issue related to the poor quality of the services provided ( the charges were for a total amount of {$5600.00} over 4 separate charges, made in my home state of Texas. I asked to speak to a manager, and was told that no manager was available, but that someone would contact me in a few days. It is clear that XXXX XXXX has no intention of complying with the provisions of the Fair Credit Billing Act by pursuing this dispute with the merchant.
