Complaint: I applied for 3 credit cards from Barclay Bank after receiving many solicitation pieces from them. I was approved for 2 and the 3rd required me to call in for verify some information. I called in and based on their criteria they were unable to verify my information and they then placed a restriction on all of the accounts. They requested I send a copy of my social security card front/back, drivers license front/back and utility bill front/back. I told them I would not send my personal information by mail especially not a copy of my social security card and I requested to get it resolved in a different way. Representative told me at this time they could only verify by mail. I 've called at least 3 times to get this resolved and I get the same answers from them. Since I 've opened these accounts which I have not been able to use I received my first bill which I quickly paid online in full for the annual fee charge. I continue to receive their solicitation to my home address and letters requesting I call and verify my information before they will take the restrictions off all of my cards. I need your help to resolve this. Thank you.

Complaint: I applied for a XXXX XXXX Credit Card and was denied. The letter denying my request stated, " Our records indicate that a previous credit card account that you held with Barclays Bank Delaware experienced charge-off, bankruptcy, severe delinquency or other negative performance ''. I did have a XXXX XXXX bankruptcy in XXXX and all creditors were paid what the court requested that I pay. Barclays states that they are still showing a balance due on my old account that was included in my bankruptcy. I explained to them that my obligations were fulfilled and that they should have no balance on any account from me. My credit reports all show NO negative standings. Barclays stated that they did not pull a credit bureau report and because they are showing that balance ( which should have been written off XXXX, they can not issue me that credit card. No matter what I stated to them, even stating that it has been 7 years and my credit is now excellent, they said it did not matter, because they are still showing a balance, even though they should n't. Can you help me with Barclays to get this account balance removed and hopefully receive a credit card from them.

Numerous phone calls were made to creditor to resolve matter, which included providing specific information regarding online bill payment details, including check #, date check cleared & bank info for which cleared check was deposited by creditor. These phone calls consumed hours of my time. Provisional credit was issued by creditor on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, leading me to think matter was resolved. Provisional credit was reversed on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX ( reapplied to account ). Print-out of online bill payment & copy of cleared check XXXX front & back ) was faxed to creditor on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX

Complaint: Was sent new unsolicited cc by barclays and they cancelled my cards because they said they sent me new unsolicited upgraded cc and i never activated the new one. THEN THEY SAID I ACTIVATED THE NEW ONE AND USED THE OLD ONE BY MISTAKE. NOT POSSIBLE I CUT UP OLD CARDS WHEN NEW CARDS COME IN.

Complaint: I was recenty approved for the XXXX XXXX Platinum card at a XXXX credit limit. I called in to customer service on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and spoke with 2 supervisors in the customer care deprtment. The first supervisor advised me to call XXXX directly because they are the ones that push the update to her end. XXXX stated they are only a payment processor which makes sense as all my previous XXXX XXXX upgrades with other banks had discretion. The next supervisor said the option had to appear under offers on the account. So I know typically all thats required of a XXXX XXXX is a XXXX credit limit, I am well above it and would just like to go ahead and upgrade my card to the XXXX XXXX XXXX since all requirements have been met and I know for a FACT barclays is sending out the signature version, because someone I know just received their card today.

Complaint: I have several on line CDS with Barclays Bank US. Barclays Bank US, sent me an email, as they do every month on line Statements ready to view. When I logged into my account as I have been doing for the past almost 4 years not only was there no statement, but all the prior statements had disappeared as well, as if the accounts were non existent. I had also earlier written a review about Barclays Bank as I had become concerned about this Bank, when earlier I had inquired about Loans and interest rates. I was kind of shocked when they asked me did I have an invitation. They only lend by invitation, what a strange Bank I thought, so I asked them all the money I am putting in this Bank where is it all going? They refused to answer that question, so I did research about that and wrote a review on Barclays recommendations. This they deleted of course, as it seems they only want great reviews not truthful ones so they can suck in more people to deposit money. I had become so concerned that the quarterly filings Banks file on earnings etc, I asked them where I could locate that, so I could check their financial condition. Their response shocked me that is not available and they are not required to file. While they have FDIC Backing and supposedly my money is insured. My question is why is this Bank not required to file as all other Banks do? I became so concerned that the one savings account that I had left that could be closed without Penalty I did, and requ ested a transfer that same day of all the interest earned on my CDS. I was told that it would have to be one transfer. This again was not completed on the Business day of Friday as I requested, but then on Saturday it was done that I had requested transfer of this money, it was all individual transfers from each CD. I am very concerned about this problem of deleting Statements and not making them available to customers. Am I the only Customer this is happening to? Or is Barclays Bank retaliating against me because of the questions I have posed to them

Complaint: Our credit card company is not honoring its cardholder agreement, which states that the holder is not liable for unauthorized charges, as long as the items in question are pointed out to them. In XXXX 2017, my XXXX-yr old husband took a 30-day free trial from XXXX XXXX XXXXor a product that promised to help him prevent muscle loss from losing weight per doctors orders. He never received any product from XXXX XXXX, but numerous different companies with different addresses and brand names continued to send him products he never ordered. He tossed all the products sent to him into a box. In XX/XX/XXXXhe asked me why his XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX balance seemed to be very high. I reviewed all the statements and found these various companies had all been charging large amounts for all this snake oil. I suspected that XXXX was selling his credit card number. The sudden XXXX sent my husband to the hospital with a XXXX XXXX XXXX. After the immediate crisis was over on XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted the first merchant on the list and asked if they were sharing our credit card number. The agent told me they are all one company. When I asked for a refund of all charges and offered to return all their unused product, he hung up on me. This happened two or three times. I then contacted the credit card company to dispute the charges, report fraudulent activity, and give them my suspicions of the sharing of credit card information between companies. They took down all the information and said it would take 30 days to investigate. They did not change the card number and unauthorized charges were again made on the account. The credit card company received a pile of poor copies from the merchants website and claimed since the merchant proved the charges were authorized they would not refund the charges. Ive appealed this twice now and been put off 30 days each time. I pointed out that the printouts from the merchant did not show any evidence that my husband reviewed or selected any of their terms and conditions, etc. I finally had to demand that they change the card number, and they finally did so. I think the merchant has been performing unfair, deceptive and abusive practices, and that the credit card company is aiding and abetting this fraudulent scam perpetrated against a senior citizen.

Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX I was notified of a " late payment '' on my American Airlines Barclays MasterCard. This card is typically a dormant card and has had XXXX to little use. The card had a {$12.00} Equifax charge which I disputed, then tried to pay online in XXXX, which then turned into a late payment in XXXX and accrued fees that I was not aware of due to their system not working for my payment. I tried to pay the account in full in mid XXXX but received multiple error messages on their website while making the payment. In early XXXX XXXX then paid again for the total amount due including bogus late fees and monthly service fees. In XXXX I spoke to a XXXX who stated they would remove all late fees and the reporting of Late Payment to the credit companies due to error. In XXXX or XXXX I checked my report again and the late payment was still there. I disputed with the credit bureaus and got a letter from the company stating their reporting was accurate. Even though their system did not work when I made payment and called several times to make arrangements. I 'm trying to get a mortgage right now, and this has lowered my score by XXXX points on two of the reports that have the late fee. I 'm at XXXX on XXXX and XXXX on the XXXX others, which disqualifies me from the mortgage for me and my family. XXXX all over {$12.00} in dispute ) This is truly unfair treatment as I have excellent credit otherwise and ca n't believe I 'm being disqualified on my new home over an item I thought I had cleared up. Please help me resolve this and get it off my report so me and my family can move into a home.

Complaint: I am relatively new to the game of credit. However, my credit has been negatively impacted due to a hard inquiry that came as a result of requesting to finance a laptop from XXXX. I should have thought a little bit harder ahead of time, but I assumed the financing would work similarly to the way consumers essentially finance expensive smart phones on their cellular plans. The financing plan would have been through Barclays Bank XXXX this is who the hard inquiry came through, of course ). I was not even certain that I would purchase the computer, but due to the verbiage on the XXXX website ( XXXX ), it seemed as though I would be able to check out my options ( which is why I requested the terms of the requested financing be sent to me - attached in a screenshot ) ; would I be able to jump on a payment plan, would I have to pay up front, etc.. While I do not believe I have too many factors on my credit, one thing I do know is that when I sign up for something, if any money is owed, it is paid. Since graduating college, I have had no goal other than to keep a healthy credit score. I know the impact is not out of this world, but I 've worked hard over the past 15 or so months to ensure a positive progression with my credit. I understand, technically a request was made in the end of the day, however, I did not intend on filing a formal request for a credit card. I just received my first credit card!

My assumption is that these were fraudulent attempts by some third party to open an account in my name since there were multiple inquiries to various companies on or around that date. No one at the card companies seems to be able to help me and keep forwarding me around to various departments. This was my second attempt to try and have this removed from my credit, Luckily no new accounts appear to have been opened but the number of hard inquiries is hurting my credit.
