Complaint: Bank of America is foreclosing on my home. I submitted a loan modification/loss mitigation package to Bank of America, which Bank of America stated that it's employee lost the Mortgage modification/loss mitigation application. Bank of America never sent me a reply about the Mortgage modification/loss mitigation decision at all. Per The CFPB 's Statute 1024.41, Bank of America never notified me of the decision that they were going to foreclose on my home.I did not have an opportunity to appeal Bank of America 's decision because I did not know the status of the of the loss mitigation. I tried selling my home to avoid a foreclosure but Bank Of America did not respond. Furthermore, Bank of America did not credit my Mortgage as they mixed up my Mortgage loan number with others. Please help.

Complaint: A fraudulent charge of {$55.00} appeared on my XX/XX/XXXXcredit card statement. It stated that I used my card at XXXX store # XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX to make a purchase. I reported the charge to Bank of America, and received a new card with a new number. When I first reported the fraudulent charge in XX/XX/XXXX, I did not provide receipts or any other proof. I received a letter from Bank of America dated XX/XX/XXXX, that my claim was denied. On XX/XX/XXXX, I was able to recover receipts from said date of XX/XX/XXXX that showed that I did not make the {$55.00} purchase. I then went to a local Bank of America branch and provided this proof, which they faxed to the appropriate department. A few days later, on XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter stating my claim was resolved in my favor, and they would let me know if they needed any additional information. I never heard anything more, until XX/XX/XXXX, when I received another letter from Bank of America stating that my claim was denied again. Due to this conflicting information, I called Bank of America. I have made several phone calls and have been transferred to so many different customer service associates, most of whom are apologetic, some of whom agree that there was an egregious mistake on their end, but it still hasnt been resolved. I proceeded to contact corporate customer care, and submitted my issue by email. I was contacted by them within 2 business days, and had to repeat the same story to this person, who asked me many questions, and also told me I could try to resolve it with the merchant, or report it to a credit bureau. So I called the merchant and tried to resolve it with them, but was told it must be resolved with the bank. Meanwhile, the Bank of America associate said they would reopen the claim. When I called again yesterday to confirm this, I was put on hold and promised a return call but I was never called back. Bottom line is, I did not make this {$55.00} purchase. I have been a Bank of America credit card holder for 30 years.

Complaint: To : CFBP Subject : BOfA holding funds and late and no funds fees policy. I have been a Bank of America customer for ( over 25 years ). The last couple of months I have been dismissed by the Bank when expressing my concerns in their wrong doing. I have my own business and I used BofA for all my bank needs. Apparently they are forcing us to pay XXXX worth of fees by holding our funds for sometimes 5 days. All my accounts are with them and I get paid every two weeks through a payroll company. When processing the deposits the bank withdraw the money at the same time from my business account but holds my funds into my personal account. In the past two months, the bank has put my deposited checks on hold several times with no justification causing me a lot of pains and costing me a lot of money for fees. In efforts to understand the reason behind all of this chaos I contacted customer service and they were not able to explain to me what the reason for these incidents were and continued to put checks on hold for numerous days causing immense consequences for my finances, including return fees from other banks, returned college tuition and returned mortgage payments. I have been troubled with this because BofA has been doing this to a lot of my friends disrupting our tied finances even more and I believe this is illegal. Please take a careful look into this and I believe they should stop this fundraising of its own at the cost of poor families like us that works very hard to put our kids into to XXXX and pays the rent or the mortgage. I am attaching a copy of my last check that was put on hold by BofA and verify the dates when they compensated the check in my business account and the funds been on hold in my personal account. Complaint: A total of {$3800.00} dollars was taken out of my account in the forms of XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX while I was going through an identity theft period. I filed a police report, I filed an FTC identity theft report and reported it to my bank to get my money back. They told me theyll take up ton10 days to investigate and then issue me a temporary credit while they investigate. Bank of America took all 10 days and then emailed me in the middle of the night that they claim couldnt be resolved bc the charges were authorized, my phone was stolen, MY IDENTITY WAS STOLEN, so of course it looked like me. I have since then deleted all of me email account and social accounts and reset all passwords and phone and did all I could on my end. What more did I need to do. I reported it to all the correct agencies. I just want my money bank at this point so I can switch to a credit union that better serves its customers. My FTC identity report number is XXXX.

Complaint: Dear Consumer Finance team, Few weeks ago I have tried to make two payments on my credit card issued by Bank of America : Both payments from XXXX accounts ( one checking and one from a brokerage account ). Little that I knew that it is not allowed to pay from brokerage account, Bank of America ended up stopping one of my payments ( coming from brokerage account ) ; however, they suspended my ability to rectify old payments or to make new payments. After calling them and spending hours, they mentioned that it will take 3-5 business days to rectify this service ( hence blocking my ability to make any payments into my card, luckily I didn't have any payment due ) and they charged me a XXXX $ fee for this error. I have contacted them and asked them to reverse fee, because it is pure consumer exploitation ( other banks they notify you that payment wasn't processed but never block or charge you fees for that ). They never cooperated with my case. I believe : 1- Blocking your ability to make payments for 5 days is exaggerated 2-XXXX $ fees for not having a payment processed is horrendous Thank you for your attention. Best, XXXX

Complaint: I have had an XXXX XXXX Platinum Plus credit card through Bank of America for quite a while. Several months ago, I applied to upgrade my status from Platinum Plus to Visa Signature card, which includes benefits such as the Companion Fare. I was approved for this upgrade, and was told that I was to receive the benefits of the card annually. However, when I tried redeeming the benefit of the card, I was told that I would not be eligible to redeem the rewards for an entire year. Their definition of 'annually ' meant that I'd have to wait an entire year for these benefits to go into affect. This nuance was never communicated to me, either by the staff member who I spoke to over the phone, or in the benefits summary sent to me. I feel that Bank of America has misrepresented the benefits granted by the card. They are refusing to grant me these benefits that I feel I am entitled to.

Complaint: A year ago I was scammed into using my vehicle to advertise for third party companies with decal stickers, I was contacted through a text message with instructions about how to start advertising. I received several messages with instructions on what to do with the check which i received for the amount of {$2900.00} delivered by XXXX. I was instructed to deposit this check into my personal checking account and i said no that i would open a separate account for business. It took me about two days to open an account with BANK OF AMERICA i explain myself to the ( Relationship Manager Banking Officer ) she her self was interested in this advertisement getting paid wkly of {$800.00} When i went back to the bank a day or two later, following the instructions that were given to me. I was told that it was a cashiers check that had bounce and that it was fraud. I asked for help in what should i do about this situation and i was given an XXXX number from BANK OF AMERICA to make a report which i did. So here i am a year later trying to open an account with another Bank and i was flagged for fraud. BANK OF AMERICA confirmed the account balance is at {$0.00} and I'm cleared of the balance. I was scammed and i need help in removing this fraud off my name.

Complaint: We were Suppose to close at XXXX this morning! Bank of America refused to fund loan at XXXX yesterday! They went all the way to the last minute and refused to fund it! After charging the buyer all the fees to prepare the loan, then they bailed at the last second because the 90unit condo has a reserve of {$300000.00} with an insurance deductable of {>= $1,000,000}. The buyers are putting {$290000.00} down on a {$510000.00} condo! This bank has lost their minds and has cost both the buyers and us the sellers time, money and aggravation out of their own incompetence to execute the very basic of services XXXX providing loans ) The buyers have a XXXX credit score and a house paid off in XXXX worth triple this one. This bank needs to be broken up in my humble opinion! They are toooooooo big and have tooooooo much power to be allowed to perpetrate this kind of misery on its customers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Complaint: To Whom it May Concern- As part of my divorce settlement on ( date ) I took a HELOC with Bank of America in the amount of {$45000.00}. In XX/XX/XXXX my current wife became sick and was diagnosed with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, I got laid off after working at a company for 14 years. As a result of her diagnosis she was no longer able to work and was eventually placed in XXXX care. I got another job making less that I was making, I've always prided myself with paying my bills on time so as the stress and financial strain got worse I requested a modification but BOA refused. It was very difficult but I continued to make my payments every month and I continued to ask for a modifications but I was continually denied. Finally in XX/XX/XXXX the financial burden was too great and I could no longer keep up the payments on the HELOC. Eventually I received notification that the HELOC had been charged off but recently I was served a summons from BOA. They are suing for the balance owed. I am writing to you as I do not believe that BOA acted in good faith. I expressed to the bank that I was in an extreme hardship but they would not work with me and to add insult to injury they are suing me? My wife has been in and out of treatment since XX/XX/XXXX and is currently about to do yet another round of XXXX. We are both exhausted and desperate and need any help that you can provide.
