Complaint: I sent funds in exchange for goods via XXXX on XX/XX/19 in the amount of {$290.00}. Unfortunately I assumed the XXXX service was insured by bank of America considering they had taken the liberty of building it into their app. This is not the case despite the fact that the closest thing they have to a warning or disclaimer is " transactions can not be cancelled ''. I have realized I was the victim of a scam and would like a full refund from Bank of America considering their willingness to advertise a company they do not insure with no clear warnings.

Credit inquiries on your report that you don't recognize
Complaint: I have noticed that BK OF AM have placed an inquiry on my XXXX and XXXX credit file dated XX/XX/2019. As you probably know, Credit Reporting Agencies treat inquiries as a statement of fact and will not allow a consumer to dispute them. I requested XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX to verify these inquiries. Since it is against federal law ( Fair Credit Reporting Act -- 15 USC? 1681b ) for an entity to view a consumer 's credit report without a " permissible purpose, '' I am writing to inquire as to their alleged purpose, for doing so since I did not apply for employment with their organization nor did I request credit from their organization. Based on the evidence in my possession, this inquiry was performed under false pretenses as described in the clear language of the law. 15 USC 1681n ( a ) ( 1 ) ( B ) states, in part, " in the case of liability of a natural person for obtaining a consumer report under false pretenses or knowingly without a permissible purpose, actual damages sustained by the consumer as a result of the failure are { { {$1000.00} } }, whichever is greater ; ''

Problem during payment process
Complaint: This particular account situation that is lately filing on my own credit document has a seriously unfavorable relation to my personal ability to obtain a present loan application. I highly recommend you generate verification that BANK OF AMERICA has been reported completely in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act regulations, it's really a serious problem to mis-report. Moreover, I was never 30 days late in any of my payments and I'm not greatly tuned in to the date opened so I prefer to ask your confirmation of the aforesaid item too. My proper request must be investigated as soon as possible and confirmed to be correct. Thanks!

Fee problem
Complaint: I am retired, and living in XXXX. I have banked with Bank of America XXXX and their predecessors through mergers and acquisitions ) for over 50 years. Tuesday night, XX/XX/XXXX, I had a low balance in my checking account, but I knew I would not use the account until Friday, when my wifes paycheck arrives. Wednesday morning the account amount was higher because 2 fees charged put the account in the red and overdraft protection kicked in with a {$12.00} fee. Usually, when an overnight charge, such as an insurance premium occurs, I see the deficit in the morning and transfers funds. This time I had no chance to transfer funds and the bank had an opportunity to charge another fee. I did get the {$12.00} fee refunded, on the second call.
Last XX/XX/XXXX the Bank of America started to charge fees for about every transaction made. Service fees charged taken from their statements : XX/XX/XXXX - {$0.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - {$0.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - {$0.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - {$53.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - {$290.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - {$290.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - {$230.00}. When complaining about the fees, Customer Service says my balance is not high enough, but my income has not changed on several years. ( Until about three or four years ago, I had a Merrill-Lynch IRA, about {$50000.00}, until they discontinued foreign clients, and I had to move the account to another financial service. ) The total charges to date are {$2600.00}. Now when I withdraw monies ( XXXX Q = about {$260.00} ) from the XXXX ATMs, here in XXXX, there are two service charges from B of A : {$5.00} and {$7.00}, for using another banks ATM and a foreign transaction fee. The fees charged are excessive, and many. Fees for use of an ATM, and fees, as a percentage of purchase with debit card. I was charged {$8.00} for a {$280.00} grocery purchase and {$5.00} for a {$160.00} purchase of prescription eyeglasses. Before XX/XX/XXXX there were no charges. In ten months the charges amounted to {$2600.00}. This is an outrageous example of putting profits before taking care of clients.

Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Complaint: On or around XX/XX/2019 I was served with a civil warrant regarding a debit I was unaware of and had never been contacted about. On XX/XX/2019 after attempting to contact XXXX and XXXX, the firm filling the suite . I sent them a certified letter requesting information about the debt and never received a response. I appeared in court per the notice and the court date was moved back two months. I have also contacted the original creditor and they could not verify the information. I have attempted to contact XXXX and XXXX multiples time and have never received a call back.

Banking errors
Complaint: Bank of America doesn't protect its customers against fraud XX/XX/19 filed a claim of fraud atm transactions. The rep who took my claim was very rude and nasty towards me for no reason, I kept a positive attitude and ignored his nasty behavior whoever the rep was in XXXX, AZ that I spoke to needs a customer relation class on how to speak and treat customers because I doubt he had that same tone with me in public.
Once he filed the claim he missed two additional charges, when I point out the error to him he say in a nasty tone. " I asked you if that was all the charges you wanted to file, now I have to open another claim '' .... Mind you I told him about all the charges I wanted to file he just wasnt listening when I was speaking to him, and the phone call recording can prove this for a fact.
After the claim was filed I asked him for a provisional credit in my account, he said " no because how did someone get my pin card ect '' I told him my wallet was stolen which had my credit cards, ss card, and insurance card, and if I knew who took my things I wouldn't be calling filing a claim obviously and after all its my money I don't need to explain why I want money back into my account tf?. ( I been a customer with boa for about 3 or 4 years and never filed claim ever ). i ask to speak to a manger then goes to say hes an account manger, and its nothing else we can do but wait fast forward few days later i log into my account and i see XXXX, i may have called at least 10 times to see why i had this hold on my account and i got a different answer everytime. yesterday i spoke to 5 different claims agent who all gave me five different answers. 1 agent said the manger put " claim abuser '' in my notes another agent told me its an " ACH '' hold and she doesnt know why its on my account because she said she can see i havent cashed any checks, another agent told me manger named XXXX put the XXXX hold on my account was the only person that can remove it. Im glad my direct deposit was coming to that account because the neg balance would of ate it up. Boa filed to proctect me as customer and basically accused me and pointed me out as a victim. This isnt right and its no way to treat a customer. Now i recived an email saying my account closed due to inactivy now lets be logical. my account is XXXX how can i do anything with my account like that. This isnt right and contradicts Bank of America " zero liability protection '' which is a lie and false advertisment

Transaction was not authorized
Complaint: In XXXX of 2016 I signed a contract with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for my account to be automatically drafted {$25.00} a month plus and taxes. I never changed bank accounts or debit cards but some how there was a problem with there system and they did not draft my account for 9 months. In the nine months no one called to inform me my account was pass due. I did not receive a phone call, letter or email informing me of the problem. In XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX drafted my account for {$240.00} then again another {$200.00} then attempted to charge another {$90.00}. I called XXXX XXXX XXXX and asked to speak with a supervisor and I was informed one would call me the next day due to them leaving @ XXXX. Called a second time the next day still no one would let me speak with a supervisor I left a voicemail asking again for a return call. I then emailed the company still no return call. Posted a statement on there XXXX page someone told me to try to call again and I did. Still no return call. I called bank of America and informed them of what was going on and they submitted a dispute and stopped the payment of {$200.00} and {$90.00}. Then credited me back the {$240.00}. After they got in touch with XXXX XXXX XXXX they are going to reverse the decision stating that I signed a contract. I never was stating that I didnt owe the money since it was an error on there part I wanted to work out some type of payment arrangement to get my account up to date.

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: Bank of America has engaged in a long-term pattern or practice of providing False statements or representation for credit card account XXXX. In fact, these false statements or representation were so serious that I had to close this credit card account. I am attempting to pay an alleged debt to Bank of America for various late fees and interest charges caused by delays created by their failed ACH system which appears designed to incur late fees and interest charges.
On XX/XX/19 @ XXXX CST I called bank of american collections at ( XXXX ) XXXX who {$25.00} removed from past due amount leaving a payoff amount of {$9.00}. representative was a female who offered to make call notes for a future representative to refer to if item is not removed from credit bureau.
XX/XX/19 XXXX call during a 1hr-12min call I was transferred to XXXX XXXX who escalation manager and was told the content of my prior call on XX/XX/19 included false statements or representation. Mr XXXX went on to say the name of the representative providing false statements or representation on XX/XX/19 was XXXX XXXX.

Unable to open an account
Complaint: I had filed a complaint against Bank of America. Part of the resolution of that complaint was they agreed and stated in a letter to me dated XX/XX/19 that I was not being reported ( derogatory ) to both XXXX, XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX. On XXXX, I attempted to set up a checking and savings account at XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, FL. XXXX XXXX XXXX refused to approve these accounts because of derogatory information being reported about me with XXXX and XXXX XXXX. I asked Bank of America to confirm that the information in that XX/XX/19 letter is accurate and they refused to help in any way possible. Neither XXXX or XXXX XXXX will provide any information. They said they are sending a report which may take as long as 2 weeks to get to me. They both said I could dispute the information but that process takes as long as 8 weeks and still may not clear up the matter as it is up to each individual bank to decide if they want to update their data regarding me. I have separately filed a complaint against XXXX XXXX XXXX because they have refused to provide specifics on why I was declined.

Banking errors
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I went to get gas for my car. I tried using my Bank Of America Debit card and it did not go through. I get to work and it takes 45 minutes to get alive person on the line. Once there is a human another 10 minutes to verify yet again, such an inconvenience to the customer.
I speak to an individual that told me that my card did not work because my current card expiration date expired. I stated how can that be when it expires in XXXX and we are in the year XXXX. Totally ignored my statement and stated that. The company sent me another card that was activated. I asked how can that be I never received it. I am getting irate and there is over 20K on my card activated and the card is not in my possession. I am feeling like this is fraudulence occurring within the company.
I hung up the phone as I was at work. I called back and spoke to a supervisor whom stated that they have no idea why my card was cut off. They advised that there are no current cards activated and the other representative misinformed me.I said I have no access to my funds she stated that the system glitches and cut my card off. I have no access to funds. I state this is suspicious and I feel like fraudulent activity is occurring, on my account. No response no assurance none whatsoever, just dead silence.
This manager stated that they would expedite and overnight my new debit card, which is still not here. Supposedly it was ordered XX/XX/XXXX and it is XX/XX/XXXX still no access to my funds.. The most incompetent individuals that I have ever spoken with. No one knows anything. If I was not in the process of purchasing a ( n ) investment, I would take all my funds and go anywhere but Bank Of America.

Company closed your account
Complaint: In XXXX of 2019, I closed XXXX of my Bank of America credit card accounts. At that time I had a small {$95.00} credit balance owed to me by the bank. Since I do all of my banking at Bank of America, I wasn't too worried about the money as I assumed they would send me the money eventually by check.
In XXXX, Bank of America finally removed the credit card from being viewed in their online portal. At this point - I confirmed that I had not received the check or a payment. From that point on, I have called Bank of America 5 times. Each time they claim that the check is in the mail and that I just need to wait 5 business days. Each time I call back, they deny that anything has been done previously and I am forced to start the process anew.

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: On XX/XX/19 @ XXXX CST called Bank of America at ( 800 ) XXXX and was promised {$9.00} debt payoff letter. There was no indication from XX/XX/19 call this request could be declined.
I never received {$9.00} debt payoff letter.
I again called Bank of America at ( 800 ) XXXX and was told compliance department declined a request from Bank of America employee XXXX XXXX to send me a {$9.00} debt payoff letter. This agent refused my request to pull the audio recording from my XX/XX/19 call with Bank of America to confirm {$9.00} debt payoff letter.

Information is missing that should be on the report
Complaint: I filed a complaint with the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau a few days ago against Bank of America and XXXX XXXX XXXX. 24 hours after filing the complaint, which had nothing to do with the information reported by Bank of America on my credit report my closed and paid in full Mortgage loan was removed from my Credit Report.
I received a phone call yesterday and voicemail message from Bank of America Regulatory Compliance Services XXXX ext XXXX.
This call was a response to a complaint I opened regarding the banks non compliance with XXXX XXXX XXXX settlement and {$10000.00} they owe me via a lien they refused to remove, even though they sent me a letter promising to do so. Once I tried to sale my home the Bank stated ignoring my phone calls and refused to talk to me. So during the escrow process I had to pay them the {$10000.00} or loose the right to sale my home.
The removal of my previous payment history is retaliation and another example of the Bank of Americas unethical business practices. I called Regulatory Compliance at Bank of America 10 times yesterday and they never returned my call. The EOscar system is being abused by Bank of America and it's a violaion of of my rights
