Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX - Started new job in Arizona due to losing one in Michigan XX/XX/XXXX Spoke with Bank of America Customer Service about options to sell home in Michigan XX/XX/XXXX Loan modification already done so transferred to me short sale department XX/XX/XXXX Sent letter of explanation to BOA as to what the intent for the property was XX/XX/XXXX Sent letter to BOA giving permission for them to speak with realtor XX/XX/XXXX Sent short sale packet to BOA XX/XX/XXXX XXXX ( realtor ) sent documents for signatures so he could list property as short sale which led me to believe BOA approved the short sale XX/XX/XXXX I called BOA regarding progress of short sale via short sale department XX/XX/XXXX I was informed BOA transferred our loan on XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX Mortgage XX/XX/XXXX I called XXXX XXXX and was transferred to account department and told loan counseling department I had a realtor. I was told to send 3rd party authorization for realtor to speak with XXXX. XXXX informed me I had to start all over with short sale proceeding due to BOA not transferring any of the paperwork over I had sent in XX/XX/XXXX.
I worked with BOA to get them the requested documentation in a timely manner. I was under the impression a short sale was underway considering the realtor was now involved, had contact with BOA and sending paperwork regarding seller disclosure. It was a great disappointment to find out I may have to begin the process all over again after being led to believe the home was listed already. I did everything in my power to get this taken care of by the end of XX/XX/XXXX. I was even contacted by BOA a few times regarding the account and I informed them the home was in short sale status. At no point in time did anyone from BOA inform me of anything different. It appears as though BOA dropped the ball on the short sale, failed to keep me informed of where we were in the process and then transferred the account without transferring the short sale packet I had sent as if absolutely nothing had been done with BOA for a short sale.
