Confusing or misleading advertising about the credit card
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I was on XXXX website booking an airplane ticket for my daughter and on the last step where I had to pay the ticket ( {$170.00} ), a pop-up appeared saying that if Im approved for an American Express Delta SkyMiles credit card Ill be receiving {$200.00} statement credit, and it was displayed exactly the following way : {$170.00} - {$200.00} = {$22.00} credit ( Offer or Promotion XXXX ) Looking at this, one would assume that the statement credit would appear immediately and it would take care of my purchase, or probably this how they are trying to mislead their clients!!!
Once I clicked on the pop-up window, it took me thru the application process and it did NOT mention that the credit will show up on my statement after 6-8 weeks. I did receive the monthly statement but I didnt pay it thinking that the statement credit will take care of it and on the next cycle it will show up as a credit of {$22.00} as advertised. When the next statement came I had late fee and interest charge, so I called the customer service and I was told that I had to pay it in order to get the statement credit, and I did so over the phone ( or online ), and I was told that the {$200.00} credit will appear on my next statement. I have been calling them since XX/XX/XXXX and every time I get the same answer, it will show on the next statement and I was issued 2 case numbers ( XXXX & XXXX ). Finally, this week I requested to talk to a supervisor and she told me that since I didnt pay on time my first statement I disqualify for this offer.

Complaint: American Express is misleading consumers during credit card signup. Specifically around balance transfers. American Express has an internal limit on balance transfer amounts, but this is not disclosed in the terms of service, offer terms, or any other material during the account signup process. Additionally, American Expresses customer service line, prior to signing up for a new card, states to review the terms of service and offer terms for all requirements and restrictions related to balance transfers. Theyre mislesading consumers.

Complaint: I have a credit card with AMEX XXXX. I have always made my payments on time. I recently decided to look at my credit report to see my fico scores, and then I realized that there was a late payment showing on my credit report. As you can see, I have always had a stellar payment record with American Express. I tried contacting both XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and AMEX with no successful resolution. XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX are reporting me 30 days late. This is definitely an error on their part. I was never 30 days late.

Complaint: XXXX is stating I have an American Express Card that I do not have. My ex had a card and I was never on this account nor was I responsible for it. There is a balance of {$29000.00} that is showing up on my credit report that is not mine and is has been reported fraudulently.
This is to be removed off of my credit report immediately and remediation to ensure that American Express does not report incorrect information on a person 's credit report needs to be ensured going forward.

Complaint: I had tried numerous times, to resolve my dispute to no avail. American Express has failed to protect me, as a consumer, who filed a dispute against XXXX XXXX for failing to provide the service or product promised. I received both damaged merchandise and incorrect/incomplete installation of product and American Express failed to protect me as a consumer as outlined extensively in their advertisements. The furnace also does not correctly work in the winter because aside from being damaged, incorrectly installed, the unit was also incorrectly wired I went out of my way to use the AMEX card to ensure I was protected as a consumer and they failed to live up to their responsibility. They did nothing to complete a thorough investigation and I spoke with numerous people and kept refiling the same dispute that kept getting routinely closed without explanation. American Express made it very clear they were more interested in pleasing the merchant ( who they do a lot of business with ) than protecting me as a consumer. I filed a complaint with the Illinois Attorney general who also found that XXXX XXXX failed to respond. The company also stiffed me on replacing panels and fixing problems that American Express let happen. American Express has also made their dispute process incredibly hard and consumers can not see the process or speak to an actual caseworker which puts consumers who have been ripped off at a tremendous disadvantage in reclaiming funds. American Express makes it clear that they care more about merchants than consumers who have been ripped off.

Complaint: My assistant in XXXX was trying to purchase a vehicle in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX official dealership.
He made transactions via American Express which i gave him as an additional user, he made 3 transactions : 1 ) XX/XX/2018 {$65000.00} ; 2 ) XX/XX/2018 {$1300.00} and 3 ) XX/XX/2018 {$2200.00} We didnt pick up car in XX/XX/XXXX and i know XXXX dealers they like to stall time, i contacted Amex with dispute on XX/XX/2018, by XX/XX/XXXX american express send me notification that my account was fully credited and then By XX/XX/XXXX they put all the charges back claiming that merchant provided documents to support their claim. I reviewed this documents and to me they didn't make any sense, i called Amex again to open another dispute by i noticed that Amex staff are not wheeling to help me and understand the issue i explained to amex multiple times that we or i didnt pick the car, they reopened dispute and we get more details from merchant that doesn't make any sense to me, but amex is ignoring the issue.
Here are the issues, i will attach each document. On first dispute merchant provided my assistants ID and credit card slips with signatures, but the invoice for the car that they claim that we bought is under different name, you would wonder if i spend XXXX for the car would i want to have invoice under my company name? i say yes. Also invoice signature is not matched to my assistants signature.
Dispute number 2 : same issue as first dispute, but this time dealer provided more documents, same documents credit card transactions but no invoice under my company name and no signature of my assistant on invoices and moreover they now lied to american express by providing the letter on last page which states : that the holder of card XXXX ( they couldnt provide full number because they dont have card and this letter was created due to dispute ) also this letter is not addressed from my assistant to XXXX that he authorizes transfer of this fund to XXXX, there is no assistants name or signature on this letter. This letter is a completely fake and doctrine letter created by dealership to keep my money ( which i explain to Amex )
