My XXXX XXXX account was suspended. I wish to file a complaint on both companies. would you provide the name of a good lawyer to look into this?

Complaint: I had an unauthorized purchase for {$1700.00} on my AMEX credit card to XXXX which is a online furniture store on XX/XX/XXXX. This transaction was clearly fraud and as of today AMEX has not given me a credit back on my account. I received a transaction alert on XX/XX/XXXX around XXXX. When I saw the alert I immediately contacted AMEX and reported the fraudulent transaction. Advised them that I still had possession of my card but someone used it for an online purchase. They canceled my card and issued a new one and said the amount would be reversed. About a week later I had a credit on my account for the {$1700.00}. After two weeks of the credit sitting on my account with no offsetting debit I contacted AMEX to inquire about the offsetting debit to clear up my account. Their employee noted the account that I authorized the transaction and they charged my account twice. One to clear the credited amount and another one that put the balance back on my account. I contacted AMEX again on XX/XX/XXXX, again XX/XX/XXXX, again XX/XX/XXXX and again XX/XX/XXXX to get the transaction off of my account. They keep giving me the run around that they file a fraud case but every time I follow up they tell me the fraud case was closed but no credit processed to my account. In the meantime they are reporting this balance to the credit bureau and it dropped my score 10 points because it shows a balance against the total credit limit. We are applying for a mortgage loan and we have excellent credit but because of the score it is having an impact. AMEX is violating the Fair Debt Billing Act. Please help!

Complaint: Got texts from American Express stating I had a card. Then a transaction taking place and to go to this website to login and check accounts : http : //americanexpresscardservicescardconfirmationcardXXXX I instead XXXX American Express and was taken to a different site and then called them to make sure I did not have an account with them and reported it but they said it was not their problem in so few of words. So I am here hoping you actually do something. The website clears as a safe and reliable site from fraudulent website checkers.

Complaint: Went to American Express Website to Open Card. Started Application for Delta Business Gold card. If you aren't eligible for the Signup Bonus, you will receive a Pop-Up message from Amex on the screen stating that you are not eligible. I didn't receive the Pop-Up message, meaning I was eligible for the bonus. I proceeded to fully submit the application, and was approved. Terms stated I had 4 months to meet the required minimum spend of {$3000.00}. I met the spend within the 4 months. I should have received XXXX Delta Miles, but did not.

Complaint: I received an offer from American Express ( Amex Offers ) in XX/XX/XXXX which I was able to attach it to the 3 cards ( Primary card and 2 Authorized User cards ). Each offer term stated that you are entitled to 10 % statement credit at XXXX till XX/XX/XXXX upto a maximum of {$100.00} total. These offers were attached individually to each card which is available under a separate login to each user. The purchases were made on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX by XXXX XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX by XXXX XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX by XXXX XXXX. All 3 accounts also got the {$100.00} statement credits as promised on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX as per the terms and conditions. However in XX/XX/XXXX two of the {$100.00} statement credits were reversed. I have called in 3 times since the time I noticed the reversal and each time was given an excuse that credits can only be awarded to the primary card member and not to the other authorized users even though the offers were individually attached to each card by their respective users. I can provide proof on hundreds of instances in the past where the credit has been awarded to all users individually and their terms and conditions were identical to the XXXX offer.

Complaint: I was recently a target of identity theft, with the suspect attempting to/successfully opening credit accounts in my name fraudulently. American Express was one of the merchants, so when I noticed the inquiry into my credit, I called them immediately to which they replied they had closed the account, and would contact the credit bureau ( s ) to remove the inquiry on my account. However, I requested the credit application copy that was made falsely in my name. I sent in all the paperwork that was requested, which included a case number for the police report I filed, the police officer 's name/signature on the case, the date in which the report was filed and a copy of his business card and information ; along with several documents confirming my own identity and other pertinent pieces of information. I went above and beyond what I needed to do and then I received a letter stating that the information I submitted still wasn't sufficient, and therefore they would not hand over the credit application copy. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, I'm entitled to that information as a victim of identity theft. The representative refusing this was named XXXX, American Express ID # XXXX.

Complaint: On or around XX/XX/XXXX, I was approved for the American Express Gold Card. I used a referral link that would give me XXXX bonus American Express points for meeting a minimum spending requirement of {$3000.00}. I had a tax bill to pay, so I quickly met that payment. I met this minimum spending requirement on XX/XX/XXXX. See attached. The bonus points were not deposited to my account. I called American Express twice over this. On XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke to a customer service representative who said my points were on their way, and they were just waiting for my XX/XX/XXXX statement to close to see if I returned anything, and if so if I had met the minimum requirement. ( AMEX stated to me on the phone today on XX/XX/XXXX that they have this call recorded and would review ). I was promised that I qualified for the bonus and it was on its way. I called AMEX again on XX/XX/XXXX, and found out that I am, in fact, NOT eligible despite signing up for the card, being approved, and using the card to meet all of the requirements to meet the minimum spend. In fact, I was made aware that AMEX in fact, told me over the phone that I was not eligible, and I spoke to a supervisor about this. I can not emphasize enough that this is completely fabricated and made up. I never spoke to a supervisor regarding this and was never told I did not meet the eligibility for the signup bonus. AMEX is blatantly lying and committing " bait and switch '' and consumer fraud by denying me the bonus I have earned. This XX/XX/XXXX is in fact the first time that I was made aware that I did not qualify for the bonus. I was never informed when I signed up and was approved, and through the 4 months using the card. This is blatant consumer fraud and a textbook definition of bait and switch. Please contact AMEX, have them turn over all recorded phone call conversations with me and have them give the signup bonus I have rightfully earned.

Complaint: I WAS CONTACTED BY PHONE BY A VACATION COMPANY THAT SAID THEY WERE CONNECTED WITH XXXX. THEY SOLD ME A VACATION PACkAGE AND I USED MY AMERICAN EXPRESS CARD TO PURCHASE THE SERVICE. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED AMERICAN EXPRESS AFTER APPROVING THE PURCHASE AND TOLD THEM NOT TO POUT THE CHARGE THROUGH AS I DISCOVERED THAT THE COMPANY WAS NOT CONNECTED WITH XXXX. I WAS TOLD BY AMERICAN EXPRESS THAT SINCE IT WAS AN INTERNATIONAL CHARGE NOTHING HAD BEEN BILLED AND THAT THEY WOULD BLOCk THE BILL IF IT WERE PUT THROUGH. I HAD THIS CONVERSATION WITH AMERICAN EXPRESS IMMEDIATELY LESS THAN 5 MINUTES AFTER SPEAkING WITH THE MERCHANT. THE MERCHANT CALLED ME BACk TO SAY THAT THE TRANSACTION WAS BLOCkED AND I TOLD THEM TO CANCEL THE TRANSACTION AS WELL. SINCE BOTH AMERICAN EXPRESS AND THE MERCHANT TOLD ME THAT THE TRANSACTION HADN'T GONE THROUGH I ASSUMED THAT WAS THE CASE. I WAS NEVER TOLD BY AMERICAN EXPRESS TO CALL THEM BACk TO BLOCk THE TRANSACTION. I WAS ASSURED THAT IT HADN'T GONE THROUGH AND WOULDN'T GO THROUGH. I DIDN'T CHECk MY STATEMENTS UNTIL XX/XX/2018. THE BILLING OCCURRED ON THE XX/XX/2018 BILL. AMERICAN EXPRESS IS SAYING THAT I NEEDED TO DISPUTE THE CHARGE WITHIN 60 DAYS. I DISPUTED THE CHARGE IMMEDIATELY. THEY REFUSE TO REMOVE THE FRAUDULENT CHARGE. I RECEIVED NO SERVICE OR GOODS FOR THIS CHARGE. AMERICAN EXPRESS INSISTS THAT SINCE IT WAS A DELAYED BILLING AS THEY DON'T PUT THROUGH INTERNATIONAL CHARGES IMMEDIATELY I APPROVED THE BILLING. I DISPUTED WITHIN 5 MINUTES OR LESS THIS CHARGE. I RECEIVED THEIR ASSURANCE THAT THE BILLING HADN'T AND WOULDN'T OCCUR. AMERICAN EXPRESS IS REFUSING TO REMOVE THE CHARGE AND ARE HOLDING ME ACCOUNTABLE FOR PAYING FOR SERVICES I NEVER RECEIVED AND REFUTED BEFORE THEY EVER PUT THE CHARGE ON MY BILL. THEY MUST REMOVE THE BILLING. THE AMOUNT IS FOR {$1400.00} MADE XX/XX/2018 TO VACATION BILLING. I HAVE TRIED TO REFUTE THIS ITEM THROUGH THEIR DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCESS WHICH THEY CLAIM TO HAVE UNDERTAkEN. THEY CONTINUOUSLY STATE THAT SINCE IT'S BEYOND THEIR 60 PERIOD THERE'S NOTHING THEY CAN DO. THEY AGREE THAT THE BILLING WASN'T IMMEDIATE BUT NOW SAY THEY TOLD ME TO CALL THEM BACk. I WAS NEVER TOLD TO CALL AMERICAN EXPRESS BACk REGARDING THIS BILLING. I WAS TOLD IT HADN'T GONE THROUGH AND WOULDN'T GO THROUGH BECAUSE I CALLED THEM IMMEDIATELY. I HAVE GOTTEN NOWHERE WITH THE COMPANY. MY LAST CONVERSATION WAS WITH XXXX AND HE REFUSED TO LET ME SPEAk TO HIS SUPERVISOR OR ANYONE ELSE. HE TOLD ME I WAS TOLD TO CALL THEM BACk AND DIDN'T. HE DOESN'T REFUTE THAT I GOT NO SERVICES OR GOODS. HE SAYS I GAVE THE CREDIT CARD INFORMATION TO THE VENDOR AND THAT AMERICAN EXPRESS BILLED ME FOR NOTHING. AMERICAN EXPRESS IS ENABLING FRAUD TO MY ACCOUNT AND NEEDS TO TAkE THE LIABILITY FOR THIS ITEM. THEY INSIST THAT SINCE IT IS AN INTERNATIONAL BILLING AND AFTER 60 THEY CAN'T CONTACT THE MERCHANT OR HOLD THEM LIABLE SO IT IS A LEGITIMATE BILLING. THIS IS FRAUD ENABLEMENT BY AMERICAN EXPRESS. I REFUTED THE BILLING IMMEDIATELY. THEIR 60 DAY REQUIREMENT WAS MET BY ME AND THEY NEED TO REVERSE THE CHARGE. I HAVE XXXX XXXX XXXX. THE STRESS ALL OF THIS IS CAUSING ME TO EXPERIENCE IS ENORMOUS AND EXCEEDINGLY DETRIMENTAL TO MY HEALTH. I HAVE FOUND THE DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCESS BY AMERICAN EXPRESS TO BE BOGUS AND THE FOLkS ADMINISTERING IT TO BE VERY WOODEN AND UNCOOPERATIVE. I ONCE PURCHASED MEDICATION IN XXXX FOR MYXXXX. WHEN I RETURNED TO THE US MY DOCTOR AT XXXX XXXX XXXX HOSPITAL REFUSED TO PERMIT ME TO HAVE THE XXXX. I RETURNED THEM TO XXXX PER AMERICAN EXPRESSES INSTRUCTIONS AND FORWARDED ALL OF THE XXXX XXXX MATERIAL ETC. THEY REQUESTED FROM ME. THEY REMOVED THE CHARGE BASED ON THE INFORMATION AND TOLD ME THAT THE DISPUTED HAD BEEN RESOLVED IN MY FAVOR AND THAT THE DISPUTE HAD BEEN CLOSED. THE PROCESS TOOk SEVERAL MONTHS. THEY TOLD ME THAT THE MERCHANT HAD NEVER RESPONDED SO THE INVESTIGATION HAD BEEN CLOSED AFTER 2 MONTHS IN MY FAVOR. I WAS TOLD I COULD DISCARD MY RECORDS. SEVERAL MONTHS AFTER THAT AMERICAN EXPRESS PUT THE CHARGE BACk ON MY RECORD BECAUSE THEY SAID THE MERCHANT HAD RESPONDED AFTER 4 MONTHS AND SAID THEY HADN/T GOT THE MEDICATIONS BACk IN THE MAIL. I ARGUED THAT THEY HAD CLOSED THE INVESTIGATION AND TOLD ME IT WAS CLOSED AND RESOLVED IN MY FAVOR. THEY SAID THAT THEY WOULD REVERSE IT AGAIN IF I PROVIDE THE XXXX XXXX TRACkING NUMBER. I NO LONGER HAD THE NUMBER AND WHEN I CONTACTED XXXX XXXX THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY DESTROYED THEIR RECORDS AFTER 60 DAYS. I WENT TO THE HEADQUARTERS AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD NO RECORDS AFTER 6 MONTHS WHEN THEY TRIED TO SEARCH FOR IT. THEY ALSO TOLD ME THAT XXXX CHANGES THE TRACkING NUMBER WHEN THEY LOG IT IN IN XXXX. XXXX XXXX TOLD ME THAT ANYTHING LIkE MEDICINES WOULD BE CONFISCATED BY THE GOVERNMENT OF XXXX. THEY TOLD ME THAT ANY THING OVER A VALUE OF {$200.00} US WAS LIkELY TO HAVE BEEN CONFISCATED BY THE XXXX GOVERNMENT AND NOT RETURNED TO THE VENDOR ANYWAY. AMERICAN EXPRESS HAS NEVER BEEN CONSISTENT WITH ME WITH IT'S PROTOCOLS FOR DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND ENABLES FRAUDULENT BILLING BY AT LEAST THESE 2 VENDORS.

Complaint: I have the XXXX Amex card. It states that if you spend more than {$40000.00} per year you will be granted Diamond status with XXXX. I have my year end summary for 2018 and spent over {$40000.00} utilizing the Amex. I am happy to show my year end summary from their website. Nonetheless, they refuse to grant me Diamond status. This is clearly fraud on the part of American Express. I think the public needs to know about these deceptive and fraudulent business practices by American Express.
