Complaint: Hello, I signed up for a Delta Skymiles American Express Card on XX/XX/19. The signup bonus offer stated that I would receive XXXX Delta Skymiles after spending XXXX USD within the first three of the account opening date. I completed the required spending threshold by XX/XX/19, and I have yet to receive the promised XXXX Skymiles. I called the number on the back of my card ( American Express Customer Service ) on XX/XX/19, XX/XX/19, XX/XX/19, XX/XX/19, XX/XX/19, and multiple times today XX/XX/19. The various representatives and supervisors kept telling me to either wait 6 to 8 weeks after the spend threshold has been reached to have that bonus posted to my account, per the terms and conditions of the signup bonus offer. Those 8 weeks have gone by, and American Express still hasn't resolved my issue. I'd be happy to provide detailed notes of all my interactions with Amex for each of the dates noted above.

Complaint: Credit card number : XXXX I opened Account in XX/XX/2019. A few weeks after I started receiving lots of advertisement through the post some of which had affiliation to American Express. On a particular week I have received so many unsolicited letters that mail I was waiting for weeks had been returned to sender due to insufficient space in my letterbox. It took me 3 weeks with a cost of at least {$60.00} in telephone bills to receive this letter. Sometime around XXXX XXXX I complained about these excessive advertisement letters. I was promised that these letters will stop. Unfortunately this didnt happen as I kept receiving these advert letter in XXXX The one in particular letter that struck me most since the complaint with Amex was a letter from a company advertising prepaid funeral arrangements. Having suffered a particular ill health and consequent complex XXXX I felt very upset and disappointed with the credit card company that allowed these adverts through letter box. My family was very concerned about my XXXX health as a consequence of my recent XXXX and ongoing upsetting letters and I decided I needed to close the account as it was too much for me. So on XX/XX/XXXX I closed the account. Since the card charged {$250.00} in annual fees I asked for its refund as american express did not act on my instructions to remove me from all marketing correspondence when I opened the account and later when I complained about ongoing unsolicited letters. I therefore demand the company refund the fees associated with the card.

Complaint: I fear that I may have been unable deliver a claim notice to American Express in advance of mediation/arbitration/litigation. On XX/XX/XXXX, I cerftified-mailed a claim form and cover letter ( copies attached ) to the Amex GC, and it was received on XX/XX/XXXX ( copy of XXXX tracking attached ). Regrettably, American Express stated in a XX/XX/XXXX letter ( copy attached ) that " we have no record of having received a request for arbitration or other claim. '' I can appreciate that American Express has many bad facts to deal with surrounding my issue and are not eager to expend additional resources over a {$100.00} claim, but I am resolute in my pursuit of justice and desire to help Amex improve their customer service function. Despite repeated instances of Amex supposedly providing feedback to the appropriate leader, their XXXX XXXX XXXX complaint department seems to be thoroughly incompetent, at best. Therefore, I request that CFPB look into Amex 's handling of my claim so I can find out if they lost it and I need to re-file it or if I'm able to pursue mediation/arbitration/litigation right away. I don't want to miss any arbitrary 30 day tolling provisions due to their negligence.
