Complaint: In XX/XX/2019, I applied a XXXX XXXX Credit card, and this credit card had welcome bonus offer which spending {$1000.00} within 3 months, and earn XXXX XXXX XXXX points. There was no any pop up box to informed me that I may not eligible for the welcome bonus. Therefore, I was continued to submit my application. In XX/XX/2019, I meet the spending requirement which spent over {$1000.00}. However, I haven't received my welcome bonus points of XXXX Honors points after the statement period. I called the American express customer service department, and try to figure out the reason. They opened a case for me on XX/XX/2019. The case number is XXXX. However, I called them today XX/XX/2019 to check my case status. The American Express responded me that the case has been closed, and they could not give me the specific reasons for declining my welcome bonus offer. Based on my history in American express, the XXXX XXXX credit card is my first personal credit card, i never had this credit card before. Also, When i submitted my application online, the american express website did not pop out the notification to inform me that i may not eligible for the welcome bonus offer. It is unacceptable that the american express declined my welcome bonus offer after i meet the spending requirement, and did not inform me when i submitted my application. The American express do not behave or act in a honest way to his customers.

Complaint: I have a Delta Skymiles AMEX account. On XX/XX/XXXX I went to upgrade my Delta Skymiles Gold to a Delta Skymiles Platinum. AMEX sent the incorrect link and opened a AMEX platinum instead. When I received the wrong card in the mail, AMEX admitted their mistake, canceled the card, and removed the credit pull from the Credit Bureau Report. I went to apply for a AMEX platinum in XX/XX/XXXX and was told I couldnt receive any bonus offers since I had technically had the card before- despite the fact it was AMEXs error. I called again in XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX and was told they admitted the whole thing was their error but couldnt technically give me a bonus since it was a computer issue. On XX/XX/XXXX, I was told on the phone that a supervisor could manually audit my spending and give me a lesser bonus- but wouldnt give me any documentation that i was guaranteed to receive the points. Plus it was a lesser bonus than the 60,000 points for {$5000.00} spending. I messaged again on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX and was told again it was their fault but the customer service agent couldnt do anything.

Complaint: American Express membership rewards has switched to views/screens that do not allow for someone to reconcile the points we SHOULD receive per the terms/conditions/charges etc. vs. what they maintain in our Membership Rewards account. They do not show how/when amounts are added to or removed from the account in a way that supports a simple monthly reconciliation. This is exascerbated by the fact that I've recently had to deal with a multi-month issue where they were not provided the Membership Rewards points as described by the terms and conditions of the card used. After months and months of complaints, American Express finally admitted an issue and simply sent an email saying something like " we identified an issue. It's resolved. You don't need to do anything else ''. They never provided the details of how the issue affected my Membership Rewards account balance, they never provided any numbers for how things were resolved etc. Now that they have made it impossible for users to reconcile, any future issues will be almost impossible to catch because there is no transparency to the Membership Rewards account posting credits and debits. Rather, they simply show a PARTIAL listing of transactions which at some point ( we never know when ) apparently switch from " pending '' ( aka not included in account ) to " posted '' ( aka included in account ). The new updated website makes it impossible for a consumer like me to hold Amex accountable to the terms and conditions of their rewards program.

Complaint: In XX/XX/2019 I went on XXXX XXXX and ordered tickets to a XXXX XXXX Concert that would be performing in XXXX XXXX, when purchasing these tickets an additional site appeared for hotel so I began to register for my stay as well however once I completed this transaction and the amount appeared I noticed the total amount was astronomical ( not to mention the length of stay far proceeded the amount of time I would be there ) I immediately began cancelling the entire transaction including the tickets to concert, Unfortunately when I attempted to cancel tickets with XXXX XXXX was lead on a wild goose chase so I turned to American Express ( this is the Credit Card that I had used for said purchase ) Three different times I spoke to AE and they ensured me that this would be disputed especially since I did not receive service from hotel or tickets for concert. After countless attempts to resolve this I finally received a letter advising that although tickets had not been received the cost would not be refunded therefore I would be responsible for this outrageous amount. I once again began disputing and this brings me to you. I am a business owner and I am looking at possibly relocating to another state once I retire and this issue is already affecting my credit negatively. I am asking that you not only investigate the XXXX XXXX and their policies but try and negotiate with American Express to eliminate this debt from my personal credit card account. Complaint: I Recently had all of My american Express cards put under review and subsequently shut down. I have been using American Express for almost 10 years and was never once late on payment and had an impeccable track record. They closed me down because my income did not justify my spending. Although I do not agree, it is their right to do as they wish. They had issued all of the points in my accounts from statements that have closed, however there were XXXX points that were from the most recent statement that has not yet closed that they confiscated. Attached is a picture of my American Express points account from XX/XX/19 at XXXX XXXX XXXX. I called them to try to have them redeemed and they said they can not redeem them being that the account is closed. In addition I have 2 XXXX XXXX cards that also had open statements and the points were discarded. The last time I received XXXX XXXX was XX/XX/19. The spend since then was {$25000.00} which would be XXXX points that should of been rewarded to me. This is justified spending that i did and these points belong to me. Each amex point is worth XXXX cents and each marriot point is worth XXXX cents which is a total value of {$5800.00}. It is unfair how how large company like American Express could take advantage of a young hard working man trying to feed a family and confiscate such a large value unjustly.

Complaint: There's more to the issue than what options were available. The account through Bluebird through American Express was used to make a purchase in the amount of {$49.00}. Funds ended up being added to the card later, in the same or similar amount as the purchase, but were subsequently removed. A separate account, the one for which the purchase was made, has recently informed me that the funds were returned from them to the Bluebird account, but since the funds were added and then removed again, I had not recieved the benefits of the returned money. Now, the second account has been temporarily suspended, until I can repay the returned funds. Additionally, Bluebird has also Permanently suspended my account, and will not allow me to contact them to resolve this issue.

Complaint: Applied for American Express Blue Business card which offered a 10,000 point welcome bonus after spending {$3000.00} in 90 days. After waiting some time after meeting the spend and not seeing the points post, I reached Amex. The chat agent mentioned that the " welcome offer '' was declined by Amex but couldn't explain why. This seems rather deceptive to have an offer and not notify the end user that you are declining the offer yet approve them for the credit card.

Complaint: I Have a prepaid card that I obtained at a store, The purpose of the car was to have somewhere to receive my direct deposit from my employer and use the funds to pay for my bills and everyday expenses. I have never had an issue like this before with any company where I felt such incompetence and lack of information is provided to its consumers. The reason as to why I did not have a debit card was because I did not want the high monthly fees for a bank account but in this very moment i am infuriated with how American Express Serve handles the protection to its consumers and its ability to solve Fraudulent concerns. With American Express Serve prepaid card, anywhere I try to use the card, it must be processed as credit and credit only, it is like their debit function does not work. This provides enough evidence to prove that I do not provide my pin information ANYWHERE, I cant, the card does not even function as a debit card. I do not use my card everyday, therefore I do not feel the need to check my balance everyday. I only check this account when I want to insure that my direct deposit money went into the account or when i have made a payment or processed a payment at a store. On Wednesday XX/XX/XXXX I received my direct deposit email notification, I proceed to check my Bank account Balance and I see that I did not have the money that I was expecting to have, I immediately check my transaction history and see that there were THREE ATM withdrawals and FEES for these withdrawals. In that very moment I call the card company and inform them that these withdrawals were not done by me and that it is clearly a Fraud. I ask them to give me locations of where this money was withdrawn and they were not able to provide me this information. I then proceeded to ask how this money was taken out when A. The card was in my possession at all times, B. no one has access to my card because I live on my own and C. They needed my ATM Pin number in order to withdraw the Money. which is impossible for me to have provided to anyone or anywhere due to the fact that the card only slides as credit everywhere I go.The representative was not able to provide a response to how this money could have been taken. The first Transaction was Taken on XX/XX/XXXX with money taken out of a total of {$500.00} dollars, which is weird because banks only allow you to withdraw money in whole numbers and bills of {$20.00}. The second Transaction was right after of {$200.00}. Again not in whole numbers. The next transaction took place on XX/XX/XXXX for a total amount of {$700.00} again not a whole number. I was told I would receive a declaration of fraud email with some documents that I had to fill out, I filled this out and submitted this on XX/XX/XXXX. They proceeded to send me another card in the meantime but I had to pay {$20.00} in order to get this expedited because I Had bills that needed to be paid during that week. I couldn't believe the fact that she charged me this much even after the Fraud claim. After submitting the document that Friday XX/XX/XXXX I called the company again to inform them that I submitted this and ask them for an explanation as to why they were not able to provide me with the location of where the ATM money was taken out from. What bank or card does not have such tracking information?! They said that they were only able to find one location the one where the money was taken out back to back on XX/XX/XXXX, that it was at a XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXXXXXX. and XXXX XXXX., that the only information they have of the ATM withdrawal on XX/XX/XXXX was that it was in XXXX. It is crazy that they could not provide details. I filed a police report online and I will be heading to the police station this week to find out if they have any updates. I get a response today on XX/XX/XXXX that they have closed my Fraud claim and that my the credit of my money was not approved. I was so upset and i called them again and they say that all that they can do is re-open the case, have me do the same procedure, get a deceleration of fraud claim in two business day in my email, fill this out, send it back and they will notify me again withing 10 business days about a response for the credit. I feel like it is a joke to go through the same process, it feels like they did not investigate properly, I informed them that i will file a complaint against their card company and that I have video footage that during the times they provided me with of when the money was taken out I was at work, my bag was with me, my card was with me and I was there from XXXX XXXX. till XXXX XXXX therefore there was evidence that I did not withdraw that money. I have the evidence for whenever they or you need it but i need to get my money back. It was for a total of over {$1400.00} and as a XXXX XXXX XXXX and full time worker this is not money that comes to me easily. That is two weeks of hard work that i put into and i need this resolved.I read reviews from this company in regards to how they handle fraud claims right after I filed this complaint and I have read about multiple consumers upset about how they were not able to get their money back from this company. I read the company 's terms and we should be protected from fraud unless they have false advertised this which I am willing to begin a battle with them about.I sent a second deceleration of fraud of XX/XX/XXXX and they responded the same way, they just denied the request and closed the inquiry.
