Complaint: American Express business card was charged with fraud transactions but I wasnt been able to access transactions on the account and I wasnt even offered a replacement card the card went dramatically $ XXXX {$1700.00} from the used amount. Always made payments on time no late payment. Waited over 3-4 months they said they called multiple times but havent received any calls there calls say spam risk and they say its not under there control and they havent left any voicemail or letter. Then one day I get a voicemail from collection agency and its debt from American Express which I was willing to pay in full but only if they let me see my statements and provide me a replacement card. Even my 2 other personal accounts accounts I cant see statements last representative offering me payment program after closing my accounts but my accounts already closed despite me making payments on time. Called them 100 times wasted hours no solution from one department to another. Fraud charges on my business account were a lot. Also my two personal accounts were already closed despite them offering the program. Reason they gave for closing my 2 personal accounts is my fico score and some fraud activity. My fico score fell because of the business account which they gave to collection because of non payment. Business account and all other account no access to statements kept telling them I cant access it they said they will send it in mail didnt receive it. Ask representatives for solution they say they cant do anything or they disconnect. I am willing to pay for what I used no fraud charges or late fees they have applied on my accounts. The account with fraudulent activity should be investigated. It shouldnt be sent to collection agency

Complaint: I was a loyal customer of American Express. I use the card for business, and I have an employee who is an " additional card member '' on my account. American Express offered me an " upgrade '' for {$450.00}. Foolishly I accepted. The new card was on the same account with the same account number as before. As far as I could tell, the only difference was the logo on my card. XXXX had already changed logos this year due to their merger with another hotel chain. That logo change did not affect my account, and I could still use my old cards. However, this time, for the sole reason that I paid {$450.00} for this " Brilliant '' program, American Expressed deactivated my otherwise valid cards. There was little warning other than a vague, confusing email giving me very little time to respond. I did respond. I explained my employee was travelling and was dependent on the card. Rather than leave my cards in service - even for the grace period mentioned in the email -- American Express immediately invalidated my additional card member card. I was not even informed, much less warned. The only reason I knew the card was iinvalidated is because I called in later to has how many days were left in the grace period. I was astonished to learn the card had been administratively invalidated. Of course I was outraged. American Express representatives acknowledged it was a mistake but would do nothing to correct it. Finally, I talked to " XXXX '' in XXXX XXXX ( employee ID XXXX ) who confirmed American Express would not correct this error. The result is that my employee has been left in an untenable situation, and my business reputation has been damaged.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I charged {$44.00} and {$14.00} at XXXX XXXX. the first of XXXX, I noticed the two unidentified charge one for {$100.00} at XXXX and one for {$100.00} at XXXX. I immediately contacted American Express and reported the activity. That contact was XX/XX/XXXX, or later. I was told that they identified it as fraud and 30 days they will correct my account. They removed the {$100.00} from XXXX, but not XXXX. They also replaced my credit card. on XX/XX/XXXX, I noticed that the XXXX {$100.00} charge was on my and and I contacted American Express. On XX/XX/XXXX, they credited my account with the {$100.00} from XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, American Express reapplied the XXXX charge and indicated that XXXX provide an unsigned receipt to show prove that the purchase was made, despite the fact that while the charge was being made, I was at home on the phone with American Express reporting it. Every month since this charge I contacted American Express and on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX indicated that after looking at the charge, they mislabeled it as a dispute and not a fraud and she will fix it in 30 days. She provided me with a ref : # XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke with American Express Fraud Rep. XXXX and she told me that they will not be able to help clear up there mistake.

Complaint: I am a victim of identity theft and some applied and opened a fraudulent America Express credit card account in my name. The account is fraudulent and is not my account. I never applied for for an American Express credit card account. I been receiving harassing and threatening phone calls of profane, vulgar and abusive language, job loss, garnishment of wages, legal action, jail, prison, XXXX and XXXX from American Express XXXX XXXX XXXX which is very frightening and a major violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act under Federal and State law.

Complaint: This is a fraudulent charge and I was contacted by the Amex. numerous times and I tried to pay the entire amount just so they would not report as a charge off every other month to pull my credit score down to punish me for the debt, that they deemed fraudulent. I was told to contact the Collection Agency in which I contacted them and was told by them they no longer held my file, I again several times asked to speak with someone in Management who I was attempting to just pay it off and was told no in Management couldn't do no more than the Representative whom I was speaking with and I was denied access to speak with someone in Management. Every other month they hit me with a fresh Charge off as a way to hurt my Credit. I contacted XXXX and shared with them how I was being treated and was told that wasn't the way they were supposed to fix the problem. So again a dispute was initiated by a Representative of XXXX in an attempt to resolve the problem. I have never been told that I could not pay to clear up a matter. I have been trying to get this taken care of since XX/XX/2019.I am a XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX injured in the line of Duty and very limited by what I can not do and I am very frustrated by the total lack of support trying to get this problem fixed so every other month my credit score is damaged by this one Company American Express credit card. Complaint: o Whom it May Concern, I am writing regarding a corporate account with American Express. The original balance on this account was approximately {$82000.00}. In the last couple of years, I managed to pay nearly half of this balance, however, in the last few months, I have had financial hardship. I made American Express aware of the situation and tried to reach a payment arrangement. American Express was reluctant to help, yet attempted in good faith to come to a resolution. American Express kept threatening to ruin my credit and immediately transferred the account to a collection agency, which in return threatened to sue me. I had reached an agreement with the collection agency for a $ XXXX monthly payment through their financial hardship program. They promised that would reset the past due amounts on American Express and will not leave adverse information on my credit report. To my surprise, I found out that American Express reported negative information on my credit report despite reaching an agreement with their collection agency a couple of months prior to the reporting. Please see attached documents. I immediately contacted the collection agency and American Express. American Express claimed that they had nothing to do with it and the arrangement I made with the collection agency would not reflect positively on this account. I contacted the collection agency just to be told that it is American Expresss fault that negative reporting impacted my credit report. I requested a written document specifying exactly what my payment agreement of $ XXXX would entail. At first, they claimed the $ XXXX monthly payment would keep them from suing me. They refused to send me any letters detailing the arrangement for the {$500.00} payment while continually threatening to sue me. I am a victim of some sort of extortion from American Express where they ruined my credit and intimidation techniques by the collection agency to be sued, forcing me to make some sort of a {$500.00} ghost payment that is not being applied anywhere ; hence, the agreement was to make {$500.00} a month to keep my account current with American Express and reset the monthly payment for a period of 12 months. I am asking American Express to remove the derogatory information from my credit report since I have reached an agreement with their collection agency to make a $ 500 monthly payment prior to the negative reporting to all three major credit reporting agencies. Thank you for your help regarding this matter.

Complaint: I disputed an entry to my credit report from AMERICAN EXPRESS to XXXX ( XX/XX/XXXX ). They reported me DECEASED ( BOTH AMEX AND XXXX ), and sent my information to an agency called XXXX which notified me I was dead. I immediately called them and reported I was not deceased and they would report this to AMERICAN EXPRESS ( XX/XX/XXXX ). I tried to contact AMERICAN EXPRESS on numerous occasions, by telephone and via internet, and could get nowhere since they said my account was closed.. I was contacted by XXXX XXXX , XXXX . ( and was successful in negotiating a settlement with them for NO LATE FEES, and only monies owed to AMEX ). The amount paid was {$1600.00} against an AMEX LATE FEE BALANCE OF {$3200.00} Terms of the settlement with XXXX was ( 1 ) remove the DECEASED from the credit report ; ( 2 ) REINSTATEMENT of the long-standing account at AMEX ( XX/XX/XXXX year opened ), and ( 3 ) no income to me on a 1099 at year end since this was AMEX error. XXXX concluded their report with no change, XXXX took the payment, and our credit report still remains DECEASED with a charge off of {$3200.00} to AMERICAN EXPRESS

Complaint: I had charges of {$2000.00} from XXXX in XXXX on my credit card to which I was not there to recieve services for. I provided Amex copies of documentation reflecting this. I have filed 9 disputes, and spoken with XXXX XXXX from the office of the president, my attorney did research to assist me since amex said there is nothing they can do, it is quite clear they can however they have made so many variables of unwillingness to do anything. My attorney reviewed the documentation supplied by Amex, and they are not being accountable to there cardholder under FCRA fair credit reporting and dispute act which says i am only legally responsible for 50 dollars once a credit card is disputed as fraud which I opened a new account nunber in lieu of charges made while I was not on the boat. Amex has been very laxed in making things right.

Complaint: I used the American Express BlueBird account in a store today to charge about {$230.00} on XX/XX/2019 in XXXX XXXX, NC and was declined. I checked before using the prepaid card and I have about {$400.00}. However, I was able to charge {$4.00} in the food court after that. I called the XXXX number at the back of the card once in my hotel room and was told that my card was compromised with unauthorized transaction. I do not believe this reason because I have been in XXXX XXXX, NC since XX/XX/XXXX and have been using the card for no problem. As a XXXX officer the situation was very embarassing as I was with colleagues. I was able to talk to a so called XXXX department supervisor name XXXX with ID XXXX and was told the XXXX that buying an apple is different that buying a banana even if its the same store. The apple will be declined but the banana will be approved since the apple is the one thats fraudulent.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 I received a call from American Express offering to upgrade my account. 2 weeks later I received 3 new card for 3 of my businesses. I wanted to know the terms of my card so I called American express on 3 different occasions I called American Express to see what my payments will be, and the representative advised that payments will range from $ XXXX {$220.00} a month per card. After this information, I decided that I would use the card. I used the card and then I got a bill for the full amount due and later discovered that I had a net XXXX card and where I would have to pay the balance in full each month. This is not what I signed up for and was highly disappointed when I found this out because I was told on 3 different occasions that I would be able to pay off the balance over time.
