Complaint: I got a Blue Cash card specifically because there was no APR or interest to be charged for 1 year. Every single month, my statement shows that there was an interest charged on purchases. Every single month, I contacted XXXX and notified them about the problem. Each time, every single month, I was told by the representative that the charge has been fixed and will appear as a credit, and that I will NOT have this issue again. Sure enough, soon after, I see a credit adjustment for the amount of the interest on my statement. However, each month, despite being told the issue will not happen again, every statement shows interest charged. I end up having to repeat the same call, for the same credit, and am told each time it will not happen again next month. But then it does. I'm suspicious that this is being done because XXXX XXXX is wagering that I won't pick up on this each month. Imagine how many people don't have the energy to call every month and correct each charge ... for these individuals, is XXXX XXXX simply taking interest that is not theirs to take? Respectfully, XXXX.

Complaint: I requested a copy of a fraudulent application that was submitted to American Express in my name and using my social security security number on two different occasions. They responded by requesting a police report, affidavit and a photo copy of my state id. I returned the requested documents. However they wrote me back saying the exact thing they said before that they could not send me a copy of the application without a police report. Which I have already sent in by certified mail. This company is refusing to send me the requested application. And also the hard inquiry is still appearing on my credit report.

Complaint: Unfortunately I have to complain in reference to previously submitted complaint XXXX! I have contacted American Express several times, all the time I am being asked to wait. It got worse these past two days as while I was speaking to their representatives, they are saying that my case was opened on XX/XX/XXXX, meanwhile I have no idea about it. -After submitting my first complaint, on XX/XX/XXXX American Express has replied with a letter, just apologizing and asking to wait for final decision. Let alone I never received any further notification nor letter as they committed, now American Express are telling me that my case was opened on XX/XX/XXXX!!!! Is it my lack of comprehension or American Express ' horrendous customer service? I need a final decision communicated to me via letter as they have promised. I can not take it anymore, dealing with highly incompetent reps. I don't mind them not having an answer, what is frustrating me is the fact they keep telling me untrue information. I have not dealt with one single representative nor supervisor who would own the issue from start to finish. Please, give me a final conclusion, I don't want to deal with your highly poor Customer Service, incompetent and misleading representatives, lack of care from you ( AMEX ) as a company to keep your word!

Complaint: I was charged a no-show penalty fee on my XXXX platinum card by the XXXX XXXX Hotel for a reservation I made and cancelled at the XXXX travel web portal. XX/XX/XXXX, I filed an online dispute with XXXX and uploaded a copy of the attached reservation cancellation. On XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke with XXXX at XXXX travel in XXXX, TX. XXXX acknowledged that the reservation was cancelled and that the penalty fee should not have been charged. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX left a voicemail message for me indicating that her manager XXXX had reviewed the account, contacted the XXXX XXXX and confirmed that the XXXX XXXX would refund the penalty charge. In all my communications with XXXX I indicated that my statement closed at months end, and as such there was urgency to getting this matter resolved and the charged removed before the end of the month. The charged was not removed and XXXX reported the account to all credit bureaus with the amount in dispute resulting in a negative impact to my FICO score. This resulted in my reported XXXX balance shooting from {$0.00} to {$540.00} even though that amount was the subject of an active dispute and Id been advised by XXXX travel that it would be corrected. XXXX violated the Fair Credit Report Act by failing to report that the amount was subject to an active dispute. In 3 years, this is the THIRD time I have been assessed a no-show penalty fee after cancelling a reservation through the XXXX Travel web portal. This is evidence of a systemic failure of XXXX that it had ample time to remedy just based on my complaints and correspondence.

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX I applied and was authorized for my first American Express Platinum Delta SkyMiles Credit Card with rewards of XXXX bonus miles, XXXX Medallion Qualification Miles after spending {$3000.00} or more in purchases with the new card within 3 months and {$100.00} statement credit after making a Delta purchase with the card in the first 3 months. XX/XX/XXXX my total charges on the card equaled {$3600.00}. However, my first card was stolen in XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and {$1000.00} of the total {$3600.00} was credited to a new replacement XXXX XXXX Platinum card with a different number. In XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX I made 4-5 calls to XXXX customer service and was told on more than one call by the representative ( in some cases after holding for a long time while the person spoke to the accounting department ) that I DID INDEED meet the required total charges on the card and I should be receiving the awards. On XX/XX/XXXX I was told it takes 3-4 weeks to correct this. It has now been 5 weeks and I still have not received any promised rewards nor have I received any communication from American Express about the situation.

Complaint: I have owned an XXXX XXXX XXXX card for one more year and I just received an offer from XXXX & Amex last year which I could refer my friends to apply for this credit card. After my friend has been approved, I will get 10k bonus for each successful referral. I have referred three friends in XX/XX/XXXX. But I only got 5k bonus for the first two friends and had nothing for my third successful referral. I have contacted AMEX custom service to fix this issue in XX/XX/XXXX like 6 or 7 times. Initially, they said I need to provide my friends ' e-mail and full name. Then they told me I need to wait until 8-12 weeks for the rest of the bonus arriving in my account. I think already that I could wait. But after 12 weeks, when I contacted them and they said that I need to provide last five digits of my friends ' credit number. After a few weeks, when I contacted them, they said they could not find give me the rest of bonus since they could not find the history. Each time I contacted them first, otherwise, they wouldn't tell me any results of this issue. The truth is that my first two friends have received their open account bonus and I just got 5k not 10k for each like promised in the e-mail. But the customs service just told me that they could not find anything in the system. Is this a fraud approach to cheat more customs to apply for their credit cards? I hope this problem could be solved fairly.

Complaint: This issue is related to XXXX XXXX XXXX offer added to my account. Per offer, I was supposed to receive {$25.00} back after enrolling for a new membership at XXXX XXXX XXXX. However, after waiting for a few days, I contacted CS to see why the credit did n't post. At first, I was told that the charge posted for this offer does n't qualifies for the credit. After explaining to CS that it does qualifies, an investigation was opened up. Today, I inquired on the status and was told that the charge was not valid. I got disconnected before I could respond. When I inquired again, I was told the investigation is still on going. I am not sure if the issue is actually being investigated or not since I have received conflicting answers from CS. Can someone from the executive team look into it? I joined XXXX XXXX as a new member and never had a primary membership. I have emails from XXXX XXXX which was sent out after I took the membership online. Please let me know if you need any other information. Complaint: I am an American Express cardholder in good standing since the XX/XX/XXXX. I disputed with XXXX a charge incurred in XX/XX/XXXX on my XXXX XXXX card against a hotel in XXXX XXXX, XXXX in the amount of {$1600.00}. Basically, I felt that I was tricked by the hotel into booking a 7-day stay for a business trip that was totally nonrefundable. And then the hotel was entirely non-responsive in addressing any of my pre-stay requests to discuss various business needs, such as assistance with hosting a business luncheon and other meetings, arranging for me to be picked up at the airport, and facilitating other transportation needs. Basically, the hotel assured me that they could support my business needs, took my money, and then ignored me. I was forced to switch to another hotel in XXXX to ensure the success of my business trip, which I did weeks before my scheduled stay. I provided all of the above information in great detail both in writing and orally to American Express. But XXXX closed out the dispute after simply contacting the hotel, which, of course, told XXXX that the charge was proper. No one from XXXX spoke with me, and XXXX clearly gave no consideration whatsoever to my to the clear and legitimate concerns. It is apparent to me that XXXX does not have a honest or real dispute resolution process that takes into account the concerns of the cardholder.

Complaint: I signed up for a 0.0 % interest 6 month financing from American Express in XX/XX/XXXX. Every single bill since then I have had to call in because I am still being charged interest. I would call each agent at American Express and ask specifically WHAT AMOUNT DO I NEED TO PAY to keep my promotion and not be charged interest? They would tell me some story about some previous balance in XX/XX/XXXX ( although prior to this promotion I have ALWAYS paid my balance in full for the LAST SEVEN YEARS ). Each time I called the agents would tell me an amount I needed to pay to get rid of the balance that was being charged interest, so I would pay that amount plus more. The next bill comes in, and I'M STILL BEING CHARGED INTEREST for a 0.0 % financing promotion. None of my bills clearly stated the amounts I needed to pay to stop being charged interest so I kept paying more than the existing balance and more than the minimum. I tried to file a complaint with the agents at american express and no one has ever gotten back to me. I called again today and even the agents don't understand how I'm being charged interest or how the previous agents told me an amount that was not accurate to clear my bill. The latest story I received today was an agent " guessing '' that I was being charged interest because I signed up for their promotion in the middle of a billing cycle ... .again I AM THE CONSUMER how is it my job to decipher when I sign up for a promotion and how it affects my bill? If XXXX can not clearly and accurately bill me or tell me what I need to pay when I call, and I pay what they tell me to, this is not my fault. Clearly their system needs to be fixed. I find this a very misleading and unethical business practice, and if I am having this much of a problem that I need to call every month, I can only imagine how many thousands of other consumers american express is taking advantage of with their shady billing practices. They should not be allowed to advertise and have people sign up for a 0 % interest promotion and erroneously charge interest. If they are going to charge interest they need to be CLEAR AND PRECISE in their billing statements on the total amount that needs to be paid in order for interest not to be charged, because apparently every agent I called and spoke with had different ways of coming up with calculations and every time told me an incorrect amount. I don't have all of my past phone records but I do know that I contacted XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and multiple times with various agents on XX/XX/XXXX which is also when I filed a complaint. And again today on XX/XX/XXXX.

Complaint: Last year in XX/XX/XXXX received a letter from American Express. In this letter it stated that if I paid off my balance that totaled just shy of {$10000.00} that American Express would send you a brand new credit card with no questions asked. I was late on my payment and decided to take advantage of that offer. I called American Express & spoke with their representative, I had him repeat to me over the phone that was recorded " American Express will not do a credit check and will issue you a brand new card EXACTLY like the one you have now. I carry a Platinum Business American Express that I use for my business. The representatives repeats these statements to me and I go ahead and wire {$10000.00} to American Express & the representatives says that in 3-6 weeks my card will arrive. A month goes by and I decide to call American Express to check the status as this card is vital to my business especially since there is no pre-set spending limit. The representatives says " XXXX, the card should arrive any day now! '' I wait another 2-3 weeks and no card, still. I call American Express again & after several transfers and hours on hold times collectively, the end result is there is no credit card being sent.. There hasn't been a new card issued in their system and they proceed to tell me that I was declined. I talk to them about the offer and everything I have stated in this message above and American Express pays me no attention and dismisses me. During this time my business is at risk because I can't use this credit card anymore.. This goes on for months, I call back again and try to get in contact with someone that can help me. My outcome again was unsuccessful and I have again wasted hours on the phone with American Express. I take it upon myself to submit a complaint to the better business bureau, 3-4 weeks after my complaint American Express issues me a Platinum credit card but decided to put a {$3700.00} limit on a Credit Card that has NO PRE SET SPENDING LIMIT. I was and still am being so mishandled by this company it is devastating. American Express never told me they would put a limit on the card, in-fact the American Express representatives blatantly said that I would have the same exact card which had no pre set spending limit over the phone to me! If my payment is late obviously your credit takes a negative impact. The promotion was for existing American Express customers that I thought were valued.. Apparently not it seems. My dealings with the Better Business Bureau although not completely unsuccessful, American Express had also blatantly said that they were no longer going to respond to this matter. American Express also sent a letter explaining their reasoning AFTER the Better Business Bureau complaint was submit. They continued to talk about the negative FICO score etc.. Once again, this holds no relevance to the matter. The representative explicitly stated to me that I was to receive the EXACT SAME CARD, that did not happen and American Express almost caused my business to go under. I would like the {$3700.00} limit removed and I would like to have the same exact credit card as I was promised. I have copies of all the letters and all the communications with BBB and American Express, if needed I will publish these letters for everyone to see. Thank You For Listening, XXXX

Complaint: I applied for an XXXX American Express Business credit card in XX/XX/2017. The promotion was as follows : " XXXX bonus Starpoints after {$5000.00} or more in eligible purchases are made on the Card within the first 3 months ( 92 days ) of Card Membership. An additional XXXX bonus Starpoints ( for a total of XXXX ) after an additional {$3000.00} or more ( for a total of {$8000.00} ) in eligible purchases are made on the Card within the first 6 months ( 183 days ) of Card Membership. '' This is not in dispute, this is pasted from a chat window that they sent to me. We met both the {$5000.00} and additional {$3000.00} minimum spend simultaneously on our statement closing XX/XX/XXXX. We assumed the points would be issued quickly, as they were when my husband completed a similar spend on the personal XXXX AmEx credit card. We received the initial XXXX points for this card on XX/XX/XXXX, 15 weeks after meeting the spend, after they told me 8-12 weeks. However, we still have not received the final XXXX points, and have now waited 7 months. We have spoken with American Express numerous times, and launched an " investigation '' in late XXXX. Each time we reach out, it will be another couple of weeks, a few more days, etc. We need some kind of resolution.
