When I am not consuming their product how they can charge me for that.

Complaint: Several weeks ago, I tied to use my XXXX point toward to XXXX payment and it showed that XXXX point failed to pay. At that time, I have not noticed too much about it. However, today, I tried to transfer my XXXX point to an airline partner, it said my reward account is under review to grantee the purchase. I immediately called the customer services and they told me it would take 6-8weeks to finish reviewing ; however, 6-8 weeks starts from TODAY! I know this action to ensure the user where they do not abuse the reward and I can understand it. BUT, why it 6-8weeks starts from TODAY? It means it will always be frozen my account to the day that I call the customer representatives? Because when I can not use XXXX point toward to XXXX, I think my account has already be frozen in several weeks ago and I successfully used it in the last year. On the other hand, I have a really good relationship with your company, I always select your company credits as the first choice and pay the balance on time. At the same time, your company give reward points to me as bouns ; However, when I really need to use point in the time ; and you told me I could not use it and I have to wait? And I have to wait in a long long time! I mean I can wait, but my flight ticket can not wait! The reason that I select your company is that it can provide convenience services. However, this action really is disappointed me. I saved XXXX points for almost one year in order to redeem flight ticket for a vocation and then I find what I saved is nothing because I can not use it! Also, I asked what reason about why my account was frozen, they can not tell me the reason. I think that your company at least can give user right to use the point that grantee meeting the requirement and pending the points that your company is doubt. But why frozen all account? Even the point that is insane can not use.

Complaint: I have an American Express Platinum Card. On XX/XX/XXXX I wrote a convenience check ( balance transfer check ) from my XXXX Visa card for the amount of {$3400.00} and mailed it to American Express. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX posted the payment, and listed that American Express had cashed the check. American Express have refused to credit the amount to my American Express credit card. For over 6 months they have disputed and delayed, refusing to admit they received the check. Via XXXX, I have supplied them with all the information I can ; copies of my statements, copies of the check itself ; all information pointing to the obvious that American Express received the check but misdirected the funds, lost them somewhere. Meanwhile, I am being charged by both American Express and XXXX for money that has been lost by them. I have spent hours making calls and explaining the situation over and over again. I have been on numerous calls with both banks, even conference calls with both banks at the same time. XXXX assures me that American Express took my money. American Express keep asking me to ask XXXX for more information. XXXX tell me they have given me all the information they have. Meanwhile, I am caught in the middle. At this point I should file a police report, as the only explanation is that American Express has stolen my money. I don't know how else to resolve this, I need some urgent help.

Complaint: On XX/XX/18 I was searching for travel tickets trough American Express travel program. I planned to use points to purchase tickets, since I have a large amount of points available. I found a travel itinerary that was exactly what I was looking for. It said that they had 9 tickets left and I needed 5 tickets. When I tried to book it, it gave me an error and told me to search for another ticket. I tried to connect with the chat support online and got disconnected twice. I called the customer services and they offered me the same travel itinerary for XXXX points more for each ticket. I argued that it was not fair that they advertised one price online and wanted me to book the same itinerary for a much higher amount. I chatted online with 2 people and spoke with 3 people over the phone. I spent almost 3 hours on the computer and phone. I didn't book the travel tickets through them as they didn't honor the prices they posted. I am a customer for years and have a business Platinum account ; yet they were unable to honor what they advertised.

I immediately saw that I was congratulated with the wrong promotion ( XXXX ). I emailed, but the company never replied. In a month, I've spent the needed {$1000.00} to receive the miles and was awarded XXXX instead of XXXX. I called XXXX and they said that the case would take 6 weeks. After 6 weeks passed, I called again and was assured that it would be taken care of in one more week. It has now been two months with out a resolution.

Complaint: Unclear / Vague and Misleading rules about ticket exchange. I purchased a ticket Flight from XXXX to XXXX - XX/XX/XXXXwith return on XX/XX/XXXX ( Ticket # : XXXX ( XXXX ). Method of payment my Delta AMEX ) Cost {$300.00} " Policy stated : This ticket is non-refundable unless the original ticket was issued at a fully refundable fare. Some fares may not allow changes. If allowed, any change to your itinerary may require payment of a change fee and increased fare. '' Due to my sister being in the hospital, I had to change my flight to retrun onXX/XX/XXXX instead. When I called the XXXX support agency, they asked that I prove my sister 's medical informaion, hospital name, etc., in order to the 'change fee ' to be waived. At that point, the return flight on XXXX cost the same as XXXX. The clerk said there would be no extra cost, but then we got disconnected. I called back to get another representative that stated I needed to pay an 'upgrage of ticket ' fee in order to get the ticket changed. I explained that XXXX Medical Policy does not menion any upgrade fee and that it waives the change fee, but the clerk did not want to follow policy. XXXX website : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Medical Emergency policy provides flexibility to the return portion of your trip by waiving service fees however, fare differences may still apply. ". I called back another clerk to see if it was a bad representative. This one agreed with the first representative and change my second part of the trip to XX/XX/XXXX but said that I needed to hold for another clerk to verify the fare difference did not exist. Upon transfer, the next representative said that the price for this new ticket would be ' $ 300+ ' dollars. Which is outrageous. I asked to explain why, and this person again said that they had to sell me base economy and could not sell me a non-refundable fare. None of this is in the XXXX policy and non of the representatives can agree. After this conversation, I went ahead and bought my own one way flight back on the XX/XX/XXXX for {$180.00} USD ( XXXX ). When flying on the XXXX, I had 2 open reservations to check into. Both tickets were valid and the XXXX clerk agents were confused why I had two tickets. They eneded up just canceling one on the spot because the system showed that I would be sitting next to myself. What a terrible way to treat customers and write a bait and switch policy for medical emergencies. I'm extreemly upset at this company. Inconsistent customer cervice, lies about policy, and complete disregard for their own rules.

Complaint: I purchased two round trip tickets from New York to XXXX and two one-way tickets from XXXX to New York. However, the return trip from XXXX to New York was cancelled and we were stranded in XXXX for over one and half days. The airlines issued cancellation certificates for all the 4 tickets. I submitted dispute to American Express and credit was issued for the two one-way tickets. But the merchant disputed the chargeback on half of the two round trip tickets by submitting incomplete and irrelevant information. After reviewing the information, I resubmitted dispute three more times. American Express couldn't get me any more information that's satisfactory. Now, they insist that I pay for that charge.

Complaint: I had open my account with American Express in XX/XX/XXXX when I seen the promotion that I would get 15 mos no interest. When my bill came in yesterday, I had interest on my bill. I called American Express today, XX/XX/XXXX, to see why and they said that my account had no promotion on it. I told her when I applied for the card that is was under this promotion of 15 mos no interest and I printed everything out where it did say I would get the zero interest for 16 mos. She said she was sorry and that my account was not eligible for the promotion. I replied to her and said " you cant make a promotion offer to someone and not honor it. Needless to say I am still paying the interest on the account.

Complaint: I opened an account with American Express under the following terms, as confirmed by their own customer service representative and in my card contract : " XXXX bonus miles after {$2000.00} or more in qualifying purchases are made on the Card within the first 3 months ( 92 days ) of Card Membership. An additional XXXX bonus miles ( for a total of XXXX bonus miles ) after an additional {$1000.00} ( for a total of {$3000.00} ) in qualifying purchases are made on the Card within the first 6 months ( 183 days ) of Card Membership. A {$50.00} statement credit after the first qualifying Delta purchase is made on the Card within the first 3 months ( 92 days ) of Card Membership. '' The terms of this offer were met by XX/XX/XXXX. As an example, I spent {$2200.00} in my third month of card membership ALONE. My account was not credited with the award miles within the one-two billing statements quoted in the contract. I opened an issue with the customer service on XX/XX/XXXX. I was told to wait 6-8 weeks for this to be resolved. During this time, I never received an update or resolution. After opening an initial complaint with XXXX, I received a letter in the mail " response '' that essentially asked me to continue to wait. After 8 weeks had passed, I again checked on the status of my issue. I was informed the case was closed as a result of me contacting the XXXX. I was then told to wait an additional billing cycle. This was on XX/XX/XXXX. My next billing cycle began XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted the company today, XX/XX/XXXX. American Express now states that their resolution team is working on the issue and will contact me when there is a resolution. There is no quoted timeline for resolution, despite having had over 12 weeks to work on this issue. The resolution of this issue is very simple. All that needs to happen is for an individual to look at my first three credits to confirm that I spent well over {$3000.00} on this card in the required time frame. This should take less than 5 minutes. There is absolutely no reason this could not have been accomplished in the last 3 months. I feel American Express has not followed through on their terms of the contract, is using stalling and stonewalling techniques to continue their lack of follow through, and has not made any forward movement on this simple, outstanding matter.

Complaint: American Express is calling me several times a day and has been doing so for more than a month. They have called my boyfriend 's phone, my parent 's home phone, and my work phone, despite the fact that I never provided my work or parent 's phone numbers to American Express. I have made it very clear to the collection agent, who is named XXXX, that I can not take personal calls during my business hours, which are from XXXX until XXXX Monday - Friday CST. I have also made it clear that I am unable to pay the sum he is demanding and I have requested a hardship payment arrangement, which I know is available through American Express. XXXX has repeatedly ignored my requests to cease calls and he said that he will continue to call because his shift ends at XXXX his time and he is not available to " harass '' me at any other times. He continues to ask me personal questions and frequently launches into long stories about how understanding and willing to help he is, but he never gets to the point of actually helping me start the hardship program process. I suspect that these debt collectors in the American Express " Advanced Collections Department '' are paid a bonus based on how much money money they can get out of me, and XXXX seems determined to maximize his bonus at my - the consumer 's - expense.
