Complaint: Hello. I purchased an item from a merchant using an AMEX Serve prepaid card. The item arrives faulty merchant declined to accept return. I startes a dispute, while dispute was pending i called AMEX to check status at which a representative told me claim was approved and merchant would refund. I asked what i could do with item she said anything i want since merchant agreed to refund i gave item away. Next week i get email saying dispute was closed in merchant 's favor. So im stuck with no refund and no item.

Problem with rewards from credit card
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I received an email from a friend with a recommendation to apply for the Delta Gold credit card with American Express. Using the link, I applied for the card and received my first membership email from American Express on XX/XX/XXXX. The special rewards offer at the time was that I could receive XXXX XXXX points if I used the card for {$3000.00} worth of purchases within the first three months of applying. I completed that requirement by XXXX, but by XXXX I still hadn't received those points.
When I contacted customer service the first time ( in XXXX ), the representative told me that the points should be applied within 4-6 weeks, and gave me a bonus of XXXX points for the inconvenience. Six weeks passed and I still hadn't received my XXXX points. I called again, and was told by another representative to call back a week later. I did so, and was again told to just keep checking back. That was about a month ago, so tonight I tried calling one more time and was put on hold for about 8 minutes before the call was dropped, either because the phone had been on hold for too long, the representative was just hoping I'd hang up, or there was a bad connection somehow. Regardless, I am so tired of making phone calls about an issue that should have been resolved almost six months ago. If I fulfilled all of their requirements, then there shouldn't be any problems with American Express upholding their end of the agreement.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I applied and got Amex EveryDay Preferred with XXXX bonus reward points after spending XXXX in the first 3 months. I rapidly exceeded spending the XXXX and then a lot more before the 3 months deadline. Then I kept waiting for the XXXX membership rewards points to post on my account.
On XX/XX/XXXX I contacted American Express via the Chat box. The representative acknowledged that I met the conditions and I qualified to get the XXXX membership rewards. I was told to wait 8-12 weeks for the points to post to my account.
On XX/XX/XXXX I contacted American Express again via the Chat box. The representative acknowledged again that I met the conditions and I should be getting the XXXX membership rewards. I was told again to wait 6-8 weeks for the points to post to my account.
On XX/XX/XXXX I contacted American Express again via the Chat box. The representative and then a manager both acknowledged again that I met the conditions and I should " soon '' be getting the XXXX membership rewards. I was told to wait another 6-8 weeks for their investigation into the matter to finish.
In my opinion, American Express not crediting the XXXX bonus membership rewards after 3 inquiries shows either gross incompetence or bad intention.

Complaint: I researched credit cards which offer no-fee balance transfers, with an introductory no-interest period of time. I found several choices, and I have the credit and income to be selective. I decided on American Express and applied for and received the Amex Everyday Card, with a credit limit of {$25000.00}. After I received the card and set up my online account, I attempted to transfer a balance from another credit card, but I was prevented from doing so. I was told that there is a " balance transfer limit '' of {$7500.00}, in spite of the fact that my credit limit is {$25000.00}. I was aware of this, so I called and spoke to a representative. I was told this can not be changed. I asked where this information appears in the application process, and I was told it is in the " terms and conditions '' somewhere. I explained that I would not have opened the account had I known this. It is absolutely not clear in the application process. It may be there somewhere in some way, I assume it is now that this problem has arisen, but the application process is clearly designed to effectively hide the separate " balance transfer limit '' from the consumer, which is less than 1/3rd of the " credit limit '' and which can not be changed under any circumstances whatsoever.

Complaint: Haven't been awarded the XXXX Miles in the T & C of the offer when I signed up for Delta Gold Skymiles card ending in XXXX. It hasn't been honored by American Express. We have confirmed that you are eligible to receive the promotional offer and show that youve met the required {$2000.00} spend requirement to receive the XXXX bonus SkyMiles. As a result, we issued XXXX bonus SkyMiles to your account on XX/XX/XXXX which will be available to view on an upcoming statement. However, we dont show that you have met the qualifying Delta purchase requirement as the purchase you made with Delta was for a Gift Card. Purchases that do not meet the spend requirement are disclosed in the screenshot you provided with your complaint with the header Up to XXXX Bonus Miles. We also dont show that youve met the additional {$1000.00} spend requirement in order to receive an additional XXXX bonus SkyMiles. You still have time to meet the spend requirement. For the {$50.00} statement credit, you have until XX/XX/XXXX to make a qualifying purchase with Delta. Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I enrolled in an American Express Offers offer to earn XXXX Membership Rewards points for spending at least {$300.00} at a XXXX property on my Amex EveryDay card. On XX/XX/2018, I spent {$660.00} on my Amex EveryDay card at a XXXX property. Amex confirmed that the XXXX bonus MR points would post after my next statement closes on XX/XX/XXXX ( see attached screenshot of conversation ). That statement closed and the bonus points have not posted. I followed up with Amex customer service via chat on XX/XX/XXXX, and was told the points show as awarded, but not posted and they are refusing to do anything to have them posted to my account.

Complaint: I obtained the Premier Gold Amex Card which was offering Earn XXXX Points after using the new Card to make {$2000.00} in purchases within the first 3 months.
When the account was opened I called to assure that my account was eligible for the bonus offer, I also called during the time I had the card and after I reached my {$2000.00} worth of purchases.
After I spent the expected amount on my premier Gold Amex the points were never issued and after speaking with XXXX a supervisor in Texas she decided not to do anything about the situation.
XXXX cold transferred me to XXXX ID # XXXX in XXXX, Florida who also could not do anything to assist me.
The company does want to do anything to justify the situation.
A case # was opened with them but they are informing me that it's just for their records but they can not help.

Complaint: I recently decided to cancel my Am/Ex due to extensive annual fee of $ XXXX/year and the fact that I don't use the card much.
Before the closing I wanted to redeem my points to my account ( XXXX ) which translates to {$42.00} or have the card apply to any gift card where the points can be applied and the remainder charged to the card.
The Am/Ex representative refused both transactions leading me to the conclusion that the Am/Ex wants to confiscate my points as result of my account closing decision.
This type of action is not only unethical but truly reprehensible.

Complaint: I recently was going through a divorce and found out that my ex-husband was not paying my credit card bill my credit cardbill. And it was fairly delinquent I contacted the company made arrangements started making {$75.00} a month payments and they were hitting me with a {$38.00} late fee every month and interest on top. I have called them my payments went up to 90 some dollars a month still were hitting me with the late fees and interest started sending me harassing letters Im finally up to {$200.00} a month and Im still getting letters from the company theyre still hitting me for the full interest and the {$38.00} a monthly fee because my credit is still past due even know I making the payments before the bill is due. I am barely affording to put food on the table for my child but I managed to pay them {$200.00} a month when all the other credit card companies will work with me for little payments and then drop my interest-rate hardly nothing and removed all late fees if American Express would take off all the late fees and drop my interest my payments would become very reasonable and I could pay off the debt but they are unwilling to work with me at all all they want is more money and they just keep threatening me to collections. They hit me with a {$38.00} fee and almost {$100.00} a month in interest so you see that my balance is not going to come down quickly at all.
