Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX - I received a call from a man named XXXX on behalf of American Express now known as XXXX XXXX XXXX formerly known as XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX and XXXX. Then the same man called again today XX/XX/XXXX multiple times and I told him that I would reach back to him and that I was on my way to work. He apparently did not listen to me and I have attempted to block him multiple times and he keeps calling me. My mother has had her bank account hacked so if you can understand that a person with a foreign accent calling me about information on my mother, then yes I will be reluctant to disclosing this information to a stranger. The person that he was trying to reach was my mother, XXXX. after speaking with my mother, I relayed all the information to her about the calls and she stated that she has currently hired a company to help her consolidate her payments into one. this person asked me for the last 4 of her ssn, and I told him that I will not release that info and then he asked me for the year of her birth. he proceeded to go into great detail about her credit card info and the delinquency of the card. I asked him how did he get my phone number and he stated that this info was listed on her account ( TO WHICH IT IS NOT ) she does not list my phone number on her account and no information has been shared except by this man with this company. How this man retrieved my personal cell phone number to reach out to get in touch with my mother. I played along and he fell for all this and then some. I did explain to him that he has in fact reached her daughter, XXXX. I clearly told him that my personal info is not listed anywhere on her account what so ever. This is not the first time that this person has attempted to contact me and when I told him that I was going to report him and his company for violating a customers rights he didn't know what to say after that. I did inform my mother all this info regarding to which she contacted her lawyer and she stated that she has let them know about this violation. I clearly told him that my phone number is ON THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST AND HAS BEEN FOR MANY YEARS. I want to file a formal charge for the harassing phone calls that this man has called on multiple times. I do not answer my phone for strange phone numbers but I had to answer this time.

Complaint: My debit card was hacked on Monday XX/XX/XXXX after receiving a Direct Deposit of my student loan refund. Received a text from American Express Serve asking if I had tried to make a purchase for over {$500.00} at a XXXX 's in Florida. I responded no. ( I live in Maryland ) Called American Express Serve no less than 4 times to have card locked. Card was never locked. XXXX more purchases near that same amount occurred in rapid succession. Serve finally closed my account that afternoon but after the loss of {$2000.00}. Asked me questions as if I had made the purchases. Promised an email that I had to return within 10 days or no provisional credit. Have yet to send email to me. Credited the four {$500.00} purchases on XX/XX/XXXX but still deducted {$2000.00} from my account. I have 4 refunds but they have not credited my account. How does that happen? Called them and was disconnected on purpose when no one could answer my questions. I am supposed to call back tomorrow. Explained to them that the money is my student loan, it is federal money, and I will owe interest on that money. They needed to fix this. They hung up. I have a Police Report Number XXXX taken by Officer XXXX badge number XXXX.

Complaint: On XX/XX/18 a reservation was made for an event to be held by XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and a deposit paid in the amount of {$2500.00} On XX/XX/XXXX the reservation was cancelled via writing and the company was informed. The company refused to cancel the reservation and started to threaten me. I called the Vice President and asked for reason for this kind of unprofessional behavior he also threatened me and said this was non cancellable. There was no such declaration made to me, specially since the event was over 30 days in the future .I informed AMEX immediately and they put a hold and reversed the charge. Yesterday AMEX informed me they had charged back the amount. I have not attended the event because AMEX told me this would be resolved. Now what should I do? XXXX XXXX has provided an unsigned agreement saying that the event is non cancellable but I have never seen this agreement nor signed it.

Complaint: If you think that American Express will help you when a business cheats, think again. I had an Amex card for decades but when I had a problem with a car rental overcharge earlier this year it was the merchant that Amex supported. The company was XXXX in XXXX. I had a confirmed reservation with a price of {$180.00}. That price included, itemized {$65.00} in fees and taxes. When I returned the car the XXXX agent claimed there was accident damage. That was not true and what he referred to was a loose panel under the front bumper. It was noted on the inspection slip when picking the car up. When the statement arrived XXXX had charged {$370.00}. I filed a dispute with Amex. Then contacted XXXX and XXXX claimed the additional was for fees and taxes. When I pointed out that of the original {$180.00} {$65.00} was already added for fees and taxes and that it would be absurd for a rental charge of {$110.00} to have fees and taxes totaling {$260.00}. This went back and forth over several months and Amex just supported XXXX. I decided it was simply not worth more of my time and gave up, but not before closing out my American Express account. Complaint: REfer to various complaints since AMEX fails to address that I was scammed by various individuals that was a well thought out scam, starting with them paying off my credit card of XXXX with stolen bank information.. if STOLEN bank information was not put onto my card to pay off my charges all of these issues would not be addressed today.. Since these banks were broken into this is what caused these issues ... I had addressed the XXXX dollar charge that was fraud that was viewed by the police and the FBI.. This charge is FRAUD.. I did not order nor have anywhere that XXXX of sewer surveillance could be used. I have been set up and this is fraud ... They got my drivers license, my passport all without my authorization and you can see that this is not my signature, my name, my street address In addition, as per the attached letter there was also a charge of $ XXXX in toilet seats that if the person who charged them XXXX was to be spoken to, he too was instructed as per the same type of scandal. He was given fraudulent documents as was later presented to me. Here are the documents to show that this is FRAUDULENT DOCUMENTS. For all I know AMEX has people in the inside of their bank that is allowing this fraud to take place ... They go back and forth with these XXXX charges .... The police department stated this was fraudulent documents One last item, as AMEX denies any wrong doing they allowed the XXXX charge for toilet seats to go on for many months believing the vendor over me, however hopefully this has been resolved. However, there remains one last item with AMEX that to this day is still not resolved with regards to about XXXX in charges to XXXX. AMEX states they paid XXXX and XXXX claims they never received payment after AMEX internal fraud division in XXXX misunderstood what was stated to them and as a result they pulled back all of my charges that were paid in full to both XXXX and XXXX. XXXX finally got resolved and XXXX is still out their monies Here are the documents to show that this is FRAUDULENT DOCUMENTS. For all I know AMEX has people in the inside of their bank that is allowing this fraud to take place ... They go back and forth with these XXXX charges .... The police department stated this was fraudulent documents This is fraudulent signature this is not my signature. Look at my stolen passport my middle name is XXXX and you can see that my signature is signed by the name XXXX ... you can see this is not MY SIGNATURE They spelled by town incorrectly XXXX XXXX not XXXX, XXXX XXXX is always spelled Road I would never sign my name electronically as XXXX XXXX XXXX it would be XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I would never purchase toilet sears as I do not own any place to put these toilet seats Look at the authorization XXXX this is not XXXX these are all made up invoices and fraudulent documents. Unfortunately, when I got XXXX recorded the phone message was re-recorded over but you can hear that he states he was defrauded. how did he get these documents? this is not my signature. I do not own hospitals, etc. Read what was in the red. this was all FRAUD ... .. I never authorized any purchase. when I found out it was fraudulent I told AMEX and then they stated it was a dispute. You can see that these documents are ALL FRAUDULENT and therefore now AMEX is involved in a FRAUD. this whole this is a FRAUD and should be written against someones E & O policies thank you XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. This was not authorized by me, signed by me. Look at the XXXX. not XXXX I do not sign my name XXXX XXXX XXXX do not sign it XXXX XXXX XXXX. My name would be XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. or XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. My town is misspelled. this was not submitted nor authorized by me. As stated this person sent me back these documents and my passport and my drivers license. These are attached and you see how I sign my name. I never sign the back of my credit card to eliminate my signature to ever be copied. You will see an attachment that shows what the perpetrator the Vendor sent to me that allowed me to understand how they were able to charge AMEX, They submitted fraudulent invoices and they also had my passport and drivers license that was not authorized to be used nor received on my behalf. Complaint: I opened my Credit Card with Amex XX/XX/XXXX ( Amex Everyday Card ) and qualified for a 0 % APR offer until XX/XX/XXXX on transactions posted by XX/XX/XXXX. I realize that the promotion period ended, which was my mistake-but I still wanted to do a balance transfer as the rate to my Amex Card was better than my current credit card. I called once and the rep said I needed to call the bank that I wanted to move the balance from ... confused with this response I called back. This new customer service rep was also unhelpful and stated that I couldn't do a balance transfer, I asked for a supervisor and the Amex Representative stated that one isn't available. I said I would hold and he said they are in a meeting and to call back. The Amex rep was obviously trying to get me off the phone like the last rep. I told him I would hold for a supervisor, after 45 minutes I got the manager of the Balance Transfer Department XXXX ( Employee # XXXX Call time was approx XXXX Pacific on XX/XX/XXXX ) and he shared that " many people find the Balance Transfer verbiage confusing '' and proceeded to tell me that he could not complete a balance transfer if it isn't in the first 60 days. I requested mulitple times to have my call escalated and he said his manager " didn't take calls ''. Finally, he said he would have another manager call me back. Bottomline : The Cardmember agreement I received was misleading and I believe falls under the UDAAP ( Unfair, Deceptive Acts & Practices ). There is an interest rate that is listed in my attached cardmember agreement. No where in my cardmember agreement does it say " no balance trasfers after 60 days ''.

Complaint: I tried to apply online for an American Express XXXX Business Card and received some sort of warning that I was not eligible for the bonus or welcome offer. This was on or near XX/XX/2018. I then called American Express and spoke to a customer service representative. She also received the same " pop up '', but she called the " back end ''. After speaking with them, she said I was in fact eligible. I then questioned her MULTIPLE TIMES to make sure I was eligible for the offer. She said yes -- and it was added to my account manually. This phone call was recorded and the CSR 's statements should be evident. I have now met all the requirements and I am being denied the bonus. I specifically asked multiple times before my credit was pulled and I am still being denied. This is by online chat on XX/XX/2018.
