Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: The company 's response is not factual. My initial agreement ( attached ) XX/XX/2011 was with XXXX XXXX, not Weltman Weinberg and Reis. As I stated, XXXX turned the account over to XXXX XXXX XXXX without notifying me. When my checks were retuned to me, I called XXXX and they answered the phone as XXXX XXXX XXXX. When I asked them about my account, they had no record of me or any payments. That 's when I decided I had better hire a lawyer. I then provided cancelled checks and we agreed to resume payments to XXXX, not XXXX. Then several months later, I received a letter from Weinberg stating that they would garnish my account if I did not send them payments. I had never heard of Weltman. I then called Weltman and they told me the account was being handled by XXXX. I then called XXXX again and they said they had no record of me or any payments. I then called my lawyer again and we still do not have a resolution. I asked for a written confirmation from Weltman that clearly stated that my agreement was with them, not XXXX and that my payments would be properly applied and reconciled. I still do not have any confirmation, though I have continued to blindly make payments to Weltman because I do not want my account to be garnished and I do not want to incur more legal fees. I want XXXX things : I want a copy of a written agreement transferring the account from XXXX and XXXX, and I want credit for {$1200.00} in legal fees I have incurred because of the incompetence or negligent handling of this account.

Need information about my balance/terms
Complaint: Weltman , Weinberg & Reis Co., L.P.A. has been contacting me about collecting on a student loan they are servicing for XXXX XXXX. After a few phone conversations, I asked them to provide documentation that verifies that they are the proper collections agency to collect on behalf of XXXX XXXX. This was back in XXXX, 2016. It has been 6 months and I still have not received any sort of verification documentation.

Sued where didn't live/sign for debt
Complaint: The financial services entities cited within co-brand with at least three other companies, all use the initials " XXXX '' and the same website XXXX.
In XXXX XXXX, I hired XXXX. on behalf of an XXXX that I am a member of to produce an expert intellectual property valuation report. After receiving a quote of {$2500.00} and prior to engagement, I requested a revised contract. Another contract was never furnished, and the one that exists was signed under false pretenses. It was my understanding that I hired XXXX. ( a XXXX biz ), on behalf of the XXXX that I represent.
In XXXX XXXX, I learned that the XXXX and I actually paid {$3700.00}, through nefarious means, to XXXX ( a XXXX biz ), and the contract I signed was between myself and XXXX.
XXXX failed to complete the assignment, produced a subminimal product, and missed the XXXX XXXX deadline ; therefore their product was never used or even considered. They never delivered any report to myself or the XXXX.
In XXXX XXXX, XXXX billed a total of {$7500.00}, three times the quote with no explanation of cost. After two requests, XXXX, produced a vague explanation in XXXX point type. I made two more requests for a reasonable explanation of charges ; their response was to threaten me with and then send me to collections. I responded by letter citing failure to produce, lack of requisite experience, and that no payment would be made without further explanation of what services they actually performed.
In XXXX XXXX, XXXX ( not XXXX ), sued me personally as a consumer for " accounting services '', not " consulting '' or " expert services '' which is how expert valuations are defined by XXXX. That case is still pending.
The Ohio Administrative Code and a consul with an Ohio Board of Accountancy inspector, confirm that it is illegal for one company to collect funds on behalf of another without consent. There is nothing in the contract that permitted XXXX to take payments from me, and they never had any legal standing to sue me.
I never received the credit cards receipts I requested or any revised invoices. XXXX and XXXX funnel payments, including credit cards, through the XXXX. None of the companies have trade/fictitious names registered with the Ohio Secretary of State , so when a consumer engages with " XXXX '', they have no idea which business they are getting involved with.
" XXXX '' companies have not provided financial services in XXXX legal cases, or XXXX expert reports, as they falsely advertised on their website. Alleged expert, accountant XXXX XXXX XXXX ( OH # XXXX ), has only written a few reports in his career, and none value intellectual property ; and he is not a professor at Case XXXX XXXX University or a member of the XXXX XXXX 's litigation section, as he fraudulently claims on his resume. Accountant XXXX XXXX XXXX ( OH # XXXX ), who wrote the report, admitted under oath that it was the first report she had ever written, and that she had zero experience in valuing intellectual property.
Counsel at a XXXX firm told me he also received a bum report from XXXX. Adversary case ( XXXX ), filed against XXXX in the US Bankruptcy Court for the XXXX of Ohio in XXXX, also cites confusion of XXXX entities. XXXX. is very litigious, XXXX lawsuits alone in XXXX . Info also points to XXXX operating as a shell company. XXXX 's conduct is riddled w/ethics violations, these entities should be investigated by the CFPB and the FTC. Complainant can produce more info and documentation to prove these claims.

Keep getting calls about my loan
Complaint: I have been getting calls again concerning my private student loans this time coming from the XXXX XXXX, Ohio office of a company called Weltman, Weinberg , & Reis Co, XXXX that kept calling me and my mother, who is a cosigner. I spoke with a representative of the company who offered an " aggressive settlement '' that would take out an excessive amount of money from my mother 's retirement to pay a part of my loans. We have been paying the regular monthly payment of the loans, but it is hard for us at this time to get out of the default on my loans until I get a better job within a year 's time hopefully after my graduation with XXXX degree XX/XX/XXXX. My mother does not need any more phone calls to give her stress because she has been to the hospital already within a year 's time, and that has contributed to her health struggles. I would like that the loan company stop calling us please. Thank you.

Debt is not mine
Complaint: To obtain student loans my personal information was submitted to the Creditor without my knowledge and without my personal signature to validate any of the information given by the individual who received the loans. I requested over and over again for the company and collection agencies to please stop all collection efforts toward me. I provided proof that the signatures on the applications, did not match my signature, the spelling of my last name, address and place of employment all are incorrect on their loan applications. I disputed the accounts because they are NOT MY LOANS, NOR DID I CO-SIGN for these loans. These loans were granted to the individual without my knowledge and without any request from the creditor asking for approval as a co-signer. I am getting repeated requests and notices from different collectors to pay these loans. I have asked for collection actions to stop and for them to remove the negative infomation from my credit record. My requests go as far back XX/XX/XXXX via phone conversations, then via writing starting in XX/XX/XXXX. Now, they have turned this over to an Attorney firm that is once again sending notices threatening to take action. These are not my loans and I need this to stop as soon as possible and removed from my credit record. This is interfering with my health and mental ability to stay focus.

Complaint: Filed Chapter XXXX bankruptcy on XXXX XXXX, 2016, this information is readily available on my credit report, through subscription services, and public record. Whether or not a debt is dischargeable or not, it is a requirement that all creditors abide by the " automatic stay '' instituted by the United States Bankruptcy Court. This particular collection agency did not follow this rule, nor can they claim ignorance of the filing as the proof of filing is readily available as previously mentioned. In fact, proof exists that the original creditor is listed on the bankruptcy petition. This agency made 11 phone calls and left the same scripted message during the " automatic stay '' provision, from number XXXX, the recordings have been saved. The dates and times are as follows : XXXX/XXXX/16 at XXXX, XXXX/XXXX/16 at XXXX, XXXX/XXXX/16 at XXXX, XXXX/XXXX/16 at XXXX, XXXX/XXXX/16 at XXXX, XXXX/XXXX/16 at XXXX, XXXX/XXXX/16 at XXXX, XXXX/XXXX/16 at XXXX, XXXX/XXXX/16 at XXXX, XXXX/XXXX/16 at XXXX, XXXX/XXXX/16 at XXXX.

Received bad information about my loan
Complaint: Weltman Weinberg and Reise Company LPA called me claiming to be representing the XXXX XXXX XXXX. I asked if I could make payments and they informed that I was in default and the entire debt was due. After this conversation I began doubting their authority to collect on said debt. When they called again, within 30 days of intial contact, I asked for the verification of the debt. They told me they were still going to be reporting me to the credit bureaus as my last payment was in XXXX. This was a lie as I was holding a statement from the company they were supposedly representing and the statement said the last payment was received on XXXX/XXXX/15. Not only did Weltman Weinberg and Reise Company LPA lie to me about this, according to my contract I am in default if I do not make a payment within 270 days. During these calls where they were trying to force me into paying the entire debt, I was not even in default of my loan yet. However when I asked to make payments they refused. In summation : they lied about how much was due, they refuse to stop collection activities though I requested verification of the debt and their authority to collect it, and they refused to take payments even though i was still within my time frame to make payments instead of paying the entire sum. I was attending the University XXXX in XXXX when I took out this loan.

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: The private student loan debt they are trying to collect on is under XXXX XXXX XXXX but then the law firm of firm Weltman, Weinberg, and Reis has the owner name of XXXX XXXX XXXX. They did not send any actual paperwork that actually proves that XXXX XXXX XXXX actually owns the debt, the sent paperwork that also had XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX. The paperwork is very confusing because it does not show the process of how XXXX XXXX XXXX purchased and when the account first went into delinquency status which I asked for. I asked for proof of the statute of limitations of this. XXXX XXXX XXXX has gotten into trouble for this before because I asked XXXX back on XXXX and XXXX of this year to send the validation of debt but instead on XXXX/XXXX/16, the matter was sent over to a collection law firm. XXXX XXXX XXXX does not have the right to collect on the debt based on the proof that I have.

Received bad information about my loan
Complaint: Over a year and a half ago we started the process of buying a home. Our mortgage guy sent us to a credit repair co. They got the collection account from Weltman , Weinberg & Reis taken off my credit, because it was unverifiable. Now it is back on my credit. I have credit reports showing the trade line on and then off and now today it is currently on my report. When I called to verify the account with WW & R they sent me a heavily redacted letter verifying absolutely nothing. I would like this unverifiable account taken off my credit and removed permanently. This should not be a loan I have to pay for if there is no verification that it is my debt. Attached are the credit reports and the letter of verification that was sent to me.

Threatened to take legal action
Complaint: I received paperwork stating that a lawsuit is going to be filed against me for a debt that I do owe on. The cover letter from the company states I need to contact them to resolve the situation more amicably. I did send an email with the draft of a settlement letter, and I will follow up by sending the letter via certified mail. I want to pay the debt ; this is one of the last ones I need to resolve. This letter is dated a few weeks after I received the first debt validation letter.
I believe the company is using this as an intimidation tactic to collect money for the creditors it 's representing. I am willing to work with the company to resolve the debt, but I do feel that in this instance they 're in violation of the CFPB.

Debt is not mine
Complaint: This debt was never proved to belong to me, in fact, I believe this debt belonged to my father ( who passed away in XXXX ). I grew up at the address of my parents and we have similar first names, is how I believe the mix up occurred. I still receive mail referring to my military background ( never served ) and to they refer to my elder age ( XXXX - my father 's age ) due to this mix-up.
Sometime in XXXX, Weltman , Weinberg & Reis began to contact me. I told them over and over again that the debt did not belong to me and they would need to send proof. They would never send any proof of the debt - which I wanted to be the information from the credit card company, not the line item of the debt purchase. It needed to show my name and not my father 's name - because the debt purchase had the incorrect information. I repeatedly told them they needed to provide proof the debt belonged to me or to stop contacting me. At some point they filed a court claim and said they served me at my XXXX address ( I had moved ). They then claimed to have served me at my new temporary address but I had moved again. They proceeded to go to court and because I was not notified, they won the judgement against me. They attempted to garnish my XXXX income tax. In XXXX they garnished my wages. In the span of two months they took {$1400.00}. I wrote them in XXXX XXXX after the garnishment. I reminded them again that the debt was n't mine. Even though they were paid I requested the following proof : Name and address of the person on the original account including date account was opened and last payment date.
Debt ownership - their proof of owning the account with assigned history.
Copies of all summons and complaints to show date and proof of addresses served.
Finally, and most important, since the debt - valid or not - had been paid : an acknowledgment of satisfaction of judgment.
As they acted in the past, they never responded.
In XXXX, when applying for a mortgage I was turned down because this debt was still showing on all my credit reports and OPEN AND UNPAID. They cost me the ability to obtain a mortgage as the mortgage company would not take and explanation or check stubs as proof. I also found out at this time they put the debt on my son 's credit report as well.
