Bank account or service: (CD) Certificate of deposit

Complaint: I recently visited my Safe Deposit box looking for the title to a car I was selling. I found XXXX old Cds ( 1993 XXXX ) that I had forgotten about. I tried to cash them out at the bank ( now Wells Fargo ) and was told that they had no record of the CDs. I contacted Wells Fargo and was eventually told that they have no record and I was out of luck. I contacted the MN attorney Generals office. They went back and forth with correspondence on my behalf with the bank. As of XX/XX/XXXX Wells Fargo told me and the Attorney General the same thing that they had no record and even though the CDs are n't signed that they were not responsible for them. The Attorney General 's Office suggested that I contact you to file a complaint. So that 's where we are. I have photo copies of everything including the original receipts for the CDs. The original total of the XXXX CDs is {$4000.00}. They say right on they will automatically renew at maturity unless I notify the bank otherwise.

Can't repay my loan

Student loan: Non-federal student loan

Can't decrease my monthly payments
Complaint: After being unemployed and struggling to pay my loans, Wells Fargo told me if I paid the back balance of XXXX {$600.00} that they would allow me a forbearance to catch up. I borrowed that money from a person friend. They then rejected my forbearance on the basis that my cosigners could pay -- even though both cosigners are now retired women with substantially less income, including one XXXX. Their only remedy for me is to take out another loan to consolidate and refinance my existing debt, but I do n't qualify because not paying my existing loans has ruined my debt. I have pled with them to make reasonable arrangements with me so I may meet my obligations, but they have refused and have threatened legal action against my cosigners instead. Neither myself nor my cosigners can afford the current payments and I ca n't refinance. So there is no avenue for relief. I do n't know if that 's illegal or not, but they lied to me and told me they would work with me, I think that 's misleading.

Fraud or scam

Money transfers: Domestic (US) money transfer

Complaint: I made a wire transfer on Saturday XX/XX/2017 for {$40000.00} through my account at Wells Fargo bank to an account owned by XXXX at XXXX for the purchase of XXXX cars. The transfer was done on Monday XX/XX/2017 because i initiated it on a weekend. After the wire transfer, i was suppose to get a shipping confirmation from XXXX, but to my surprise XXXX XXXX XXXX disappeared. Their phone were cut off, no email response nor text message response till date. After further investigation i found out they have done the same thing to so many people, a lot of people had lost so much money. I went to my bank at Wells Fargo on Tuesday XX/XX/2017 to file for a recall of my wire transfer and they should alert XXXX that XXXX are involved in wire fraud scheme as a note to my reason for my recall and i was giving a ref # XXXX and it will take 1-6 weeks to here from XXXX. I heard from Wells Fargo rep today XX/XX/2017 and said XXXX responded to my recall request saying they are waiting on XXXX to give them a YES before they can get the money out of their account. These people are fraud and they will never say YES. XXXX is dealing with a fraud company and are not acting appropriately to shut them down. My wife recently contacted XXXX acting like she was interested in a car and XXXX XXXX XXXX gave her the same XXXX account for her to wire transfer money for a car she shown interest on. XXXX are professional schemers and are really good in what they do. I really hope the bank can recover my money.

Loan servicing, payments, escrow account

Mortgage: FHA mortgage

Complaint: Wells Fargo Home Loans purchased my mortgage in XX/XX/XXXX. I was making payments to them from their online system for XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX of this year with no issue. I set up my XX/XX/XXXX payment to be paid on XX/XX/XXXX, and instead they sent the payment through on XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted them when I noticed they were causing my bank acct to go negative on XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted WF and was told to stop payment at my bank, and gave me a fax number to reimburse the NSF and savings transfer fees. I was then told by them that the payment would go through a few more times and there was nothing they could do to stop it even if it is their fault. My bank sent the transfer back to WF and asked me to contact them to make sure they would n't send it back through. I called WF on XX/XX/XXXX to ensure it would n't go back through and was told that as long as my bank stopped payment it would not come back through. Today XX/XX/XXXX, it was put back through as a retry. I again contacted my bank who will return it, but will only do so if it makes the account go into a negative status, which is the case this time. I called WF once again, and they told me to have my bank return it, and he talked with his cash dept, and they said it would go through again a few more times and there is nothing they can do. He apologized for the inconvenience and there was nothing else they can do even if it is their error. I can fax the fees charged from my bank to them to have them reimbursed, but could n't assure me this would not happen again. I ca n't afford to continue doing business like this, and it should not be alright for them to act like it 's okay and nothing could be done. I am still out {$80.00} in fees from last weeks debacle, and now whatever fees from this week, and I still have other bills coming out.

Loan servicing, payments, escrow account

Mortgage: FHA mortgage

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX Wells Fargo conducted its annual escrow account review. It was determined that an escrow shortage of {$1300.00}. This amount could be divided and spread out over the next 12 payments making my mortgage payment {$1200.00}, or paid in one lump sum which would make my monthly payment $ XXXX. I elected to send Wells Fargo a lump sum. On XX/XX/XXXX I electronically sent two separate payments. One in the amount of {$1300.00} and the other in the amount of $ XXXX. Wells Fargo did not receive the payments until XX/XX/XXXX*. On XX/XX/XXXX those payments were reversed and held by Wells Fargo in an 'Unapplied Funds '' account associated with my loan. Wells Fargo did not return my payment, they held on to it. On XX/XX/XXXX and roughly every day for the following month I began receiving collection calls from Wells Fargo representatives all over the U.S. and who knows where else ( due to their accents ). One particular phone call I have a recording of*. The collection calls were for failing to make the XX/XX/XXXX payment or not making that payment in full. Over and over again I asked the collection agents " If I paid {$2400.00} on XX/XX/XXXX, and I know you received it because I have documentation that you received it, how is it that you are calling me for failing to pay {$1200.00} in the month of XXXX? '' None of them had an answer for me. On several occasions these employees of Wells Fargo would hang up on me. Specifically they would place the call on hold and never pick up again forcing me to disconnect the call from my end. Every collection call from Wells Fargo states " This call may be recorded and monitored ... '' It is actually stated twice per phone call. Once by the automatic answering service and once by the agent who answers the call. However when I inform the person on the other end that the call 'will ' be recorded, they would respond with " I do not authorize you to record me. '' Some agents actually go as far as to stop talking. Yet others continue to attempt to shake me down for more money. After approximately 30 collection calls ( this is excessive ) I went took the initiative and I finally got in touch with an Executive Resolution Specialist. This specialist said that she would stop the collection calls. Which she did. Then Wells Fargo proceeded to start sending collection letters. Within a 24 hour period I received six ( 6 ) letters demanding payment and stating that I have not paid my mortgage since XX/XX/XXXX*. Each of these letters threatened me with foreclosure, adverse reporting of information to the credit bureaus, and late fees imposed on my account*. These letters also went as far as to accuse me of being in need of 'financial help. ' On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from the Executive Resolution Specialist. The letter was dated XX/XX/XXXX and in it she acknowledged receipt of payment on XX/XX/XXXX, applying the funds to the wrong account, reversing the payments, holding the payments in the 'unapplied funds ' account, re-conducting an escrow account review, and retroactively changing ( or modifying ) mortgage payment amounts and principal balance. In this letter it also included the threat of adverse information being reported to the credit reporting agencies*. I never asked for, requested or applied for a mortgage with Wells Fargo. I never wanted to be a customer. Wells Fargo engages in deceitful, unethical, harassing, threatening, and overall offensive collection practices. The miscommunication between the departments of Wells Fargo and the failure to properly train their employees resulted in their failure to properly service my loan. * I have documentation or other evidence to substantiate this claim.

Loan servicing, payments, escrow account

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I signed a Mortgage with long-time bankrupt XXXX company, where XXXX was not a Mortgagee. On XX/XX/XXXX Wells Fargo bank acting under glimpse of " XXXX '', defunct since XX/XX/XXXX, filed foreclosure case against me based on false statements and forged documents. As of today I have not received ANY meaningful respond from Wells Fargo bank regarding my demand to stop fraudulent foreclosure case based on false statements ( perjury ) and accompanied by forged, robo-signed documents prepared by Wells Fargo employees who impersonated as " XXXX Assistant Secretary '' and " Vice President of Loan documentation '' -- the positions they never held. XXXX XXXX ( XXXX Veteran ). The only letter mailed by Wells Fargo bank was their usual runaround from " XXXX '' where she informed that " we expect to complete our research on or before XX/XX/XXXX ''. No need to say, I as of today, XX/XX/XXXX, never received ANY respond from Wells Fargo bank, except nearly XXXX ( XXXX!!! ) identical letters ( all electronically signed ) sent me during XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX where Wells Fargo employees advised me that they " need more time to compete research ''. This is in addition to a binder- worth of identical absurd runarounds Wells Fargo bank mailed me since XX/XX/XXXX, without any meaningful respond. On XX/XX/XXXX Wells Fargo bank sold my property to the third party buyer, in the most fraudulent manner - where long-time defunct " Trustee '' XXXX, acting under purported authority of Trust XXXX ( a not existing entity, as proven by SEC letters of XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX ) prepared a fake Deed where Wells Fargo bank low-paid loan analysts acted as " Vice Presidents of Loan Documentation '' ( positions they never held ) when they transferred not-existing rights to the buyer, On XX/XX/XXXX Wells Fargo bank mailed me a letter where they advised me that they sold ( transferred ) their servicing rights to a new mortgage Servicing company, XXXX, who confirmed this transfer and on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX mailed me a letter informing me that beginning XX/XX/XXXX I should mail them my mortgage payments for the property which was sold more than 2 month ago. XXXX also advised me that no other terms of my mortgage will changed. When I contacted XXXX for explanations, they were not able to provide me ANY documents in support of this transfer, and refuse to provide explanations as of today. Both, Wells Fargo bank and XXXX completely ignore all my demands for documents related to this sudden transfer of mortgage servicing rights ; and refuse to communicate with me on this matter. The only respond from XXXX was on XX/XX/XXXX where they promised to provide me information, however, its been over the month and I did not received any respond neither from Wells Fargo bank, or XXXX ( who never contacted me at all ) ; or XXXX. I respectfully request CFPB to take REAL steps to confront Wells Fargo bank and its co-conspirators, XXXX and XXXX massive fraud ; and provide me copies of all documents related to my loan with XXXX as well as Wells Fargo bank rights to foreclose on me, sell my property and transfer its so-called " servicing rights '' to XXXX AFTER my property was illegally sold by purported Trustee XXXX. XXXX demand for non-exisitng debt is a direct violation of RICO, XXXX and FDCPA acts and must be treated as such.
