Unexpected increase in interest rate
Complaint: My credit card issuer, Wells Fargo Bank, assessed with an APR interest rate hike beginning in my XXXX of 2016 from a 9.490 % to a 28.740 %. This rate hike was a direct result of their Call Center staff incorrectly setting up an auto-payment which was to continue for 3 months while I was traveling internationally. In working with my the local Wells Fargo Banking Representative, a member of their XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) and a member of their Small Business Lending Operations staff they corrected problem with three additional, but unrelated, accounts. I 've attempted to follow up for several months ( and have supporting documentation to include statements and emails if necessary ) regarding the status of this specific account but never received any resolution or a complete response. In contacting them today to follow up with this issue they insisted that " they '' did, in fact, correct the issue but the account was delinquent. I informed them that I received no such notification and I then I proceeded to go through each invoice and read the interest rate and fee reversals to demonstrate the requests were incomplete. After that the representative informed me that they were not able to provide an alternative and advised me to contact the VP for the Small Business Lending Division ( XXXX XXXX ) but unfortunately I have yet to see any resolution.

Complaint: WELLS FARGO XXXX By now I have attempted numerous times to bring to your attention that Wells Fargo IS in fact IN VIOLATION of the " short term mortgage assistance offer- SECTION B '' where it states that you Wells Fargo '' may NOT impact and report this account as ONGOING SERIES OF LATE PAYMENTS '' ... I have attached the agreement AND credit reports where you CLEARLY violated and keep violating this SECTION B - ALSO, you are reporting the past due balance on this account to the bureaus as {$62000.00} WHICH IS WRONG!! and the actual and accurate amount still due to you as of XXXX XXXX, 2017 is {$34000.00} .... ( see attached statement YOU- wells fargo ) sent me! You have violated section B of the contract and violated Fair Credit Reporting Act rules and regulations by reporting WRONG/INACCURATE/FALCE information to the Credit Bureaus and have been damaging my personal credit rating for 2 years now.

Complaint: I opened an account on Saturday with Wells Fargo and after going in to the company to give them my opening deposit and requesting an instant issue debit card I was told that I had to pay them for a charged off account that I had with my parents when I was younger, specifically below the age of majority in my state. After I paid the fee I called to speak with their complaints department as I was blindsided with this information and was then told that I could not get a debit card until I paid them. This entire experience has been horrific and the person I spoke to in the complaints department was beyond apathetic, and sounded very unknowledgeable regarding the situation after having my account pulled up. Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I settled my account for less with Wells Fargo Dealer Services when they agreed to take {$14000.00} as the payoff of my auto loan account # XXXX by XXXX XXXX in XXXX, Minnesota XXXX who can be reached at ( XXXX ) XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX Wells Fargo started reporting that we had not settled and that they had charged off the remaining balance of {$9100.00}. the Wells Fargo representative spoke with myself and XXXX XXXX who is the XXXX XXXX employee who processed the sales of the XXXX XXXX XXXX and provided the payoff to WFDS in order to settle the account. I was told verbatim that they would not report the remaining balance as charged off because opposed to turning the vehicle over to WFDS I had gone out and got an offer from XXXX XXXX for {$14000.00} that they agreed they would accept to settle the account. I mailed my complaint about this matter to all 3 major credit bureaus by certified mail on XX/XX/XXXX, in which I have already received correspondence from XXXX that they have started the dispute as they are required to within 30 days by law. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX send me a letter saying that they could not process my dispute because I had not provided sufficient information, or that the documents were not legible. I am attaching all documents to this dispute and you will see that not only did I provide all information necessary to initiate my dispute, but that it was absolutely legible. I am about to go through a background a check for a new job and I will not hesitate for even a moment to sue WFDS and XXXX to the full extend of the law if this is not corrected IMMEDIATELY as this is fraud on behalf of Wells Fargo which they have shown us all they have no problem with, and this could also result in a failed background check if this remains on my credit report in which I would sue for loss of wages as well. I recommend the XXXX and Wells Fargo do not take this complaint/dispute lightly or try to delay correcting false information any further or I will have my attorney be the next person to take action. We are so thankful that Wells Fargo has recorded all phone calls on my account so that if I am forced to bring them to court they can help us verify that the statements above are truthful. Please remedy this inaccuracy immediately. I am simply shocked appalled and offended to see Wells Fargo trying to get away with this even after they just defrauded millions of Americans. XXXX received my dispute via certified mail with return receipt, no later than XX/XX/XXXX so the clock is ticking until 30 days is up. Problem during payment process
Complaint: I 've been a wells fargo customer for over 10 years. Recently I got a wells fargo credit card and put a {$3700.00} tuition charge on it. I set up automatic payments and took a look the day the payment was supposed to be due ; by the end of the day it still did n't go through. Looking at the automatic payments page, it says it will only pay whatever the remaining balance is after any previous payments were taken into account, so I went ahead and made a manual payment in order to avoid the credit card late fees. This was on X/XX/17. The next morning i get notifications that my checkings account is overdrawn and multiple service late charges were posted to my checkings account. It turns out automatic payments ignored my manual bill pay and paid the {$3700.00} again. I called customer services and explained my situation, and they gave me a timeframe for this to be fixed. They also told me they 've escalated this to customer services. Their estimated date was today and the payment has not been returned. When I called customer services again they told me since the amount is large, they may or may not have to wait even longer to refund, nothing clear.

Complaint: I had an appointment with Wells Fargo mortgage on Saturday XX/XX/2017 and that lady from mortgage she did n't knowledge me, she treated the people that I was and her desk good and another person was waiting in the lobby and when it was my turn she did emphasize with me. I explain everything what is going now with my mortgage and she did n't encourage me to get a loan and she said is going to send me referrals for real state that day she even send those referrals. I wasnpersonally discharged of the mortgage following my bankruptcy in XXXX all of a sudden, wells Fargo began reporting to my credit bureaus again this year, in XXXX and XXXX of XXXX. I am now being declined for a new mortgage because of their inability to properly handle their bankruptcy cases. the reporting needs to be removed immediately or I will file a suit, as I have already reached out to my lawyer.

Complaint: I called Wells Fargo to see if they could terminate my PMI. They said it 's not PMI, it 's actually mortgage insurance ( which is technically different ). I 'm past the 80 % loan-to-value, but they said there 's a requirement to have the mortgage insurance for a minimum of 5 years, so they ca n't terminate it. Is that correct? Also, this loan was a refinance of a loan with Wells Fargo. I asked if they could give me credit against the original loan ( which was in 2010 ), but they said no. It 's all due to investor guidelines, and they do n't have the option to waive the mortgage insurance. Is that correct? The loan officer at Wells Fargo told me that he could n't do this loan if it was n't to my advantage. But I did n't know I 'd have to restart the clock on this expensive mortgage insurance! It 's over $ XXXX/month for 5 years.

Complaint: Wells Fargo Home Mortgage is incorrectly reporting my account 's current status as " 120 days late '', even though the account was transferred to another company and the balance on this account is now XXXX. It is obviously not possible for the account to be currently 120 days late and delinquent if the balance is XXXX and has been XXXX for over a year. I 've attempted to dispute the information with all 3 credit bureaus and they tell me they can not change this because it is what Wells Fargo is reporting. I 've also contacted Wells Fargo, who refuses to admit they are reporting the account incorrectly.

Complaint: Wells Fargo was the servicing provider for our mortgage loan for property XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, Maryalnd XXXX ( Loan # XXXX ) when the loan was sold to them from the lender we obtain the mortgage/home loan from. They claimed to have approved a modification for us several years ago. But failed to file the paperwork with the XXXX XXXX court. After 4 months receiving the approval from them claiming to be under a modification they sent us a letter stating we were not under a modification and will be foreclosed on unless the loan to update. When we called to confirm the modification after receiving the conflicting notifications a few representatives stated we did n't have a modification and when we would call again other representatives would state we did. When we received the notification from Wells Fargo that our loan is in default and we needed to call them to receive a modification soon because they would foreclosed on our house. We went through the modification process again and they sent us a denial stating we had a modification. When we discuss the particulars of the modification with another department they claimed we did not have a modification and needed to apply. Several months later after trying to get this straighten out we hired an attorney to assist with the modification. We then received several letters from them asking us to sign documentation they should have filed several years ago regarding the modification with XXXX XXXX XXXX. The documents stated that we could not sue them or take any legal actions against them. The forms would back date the modification loan to correct the loan which would allow us an opportunity to apply for a new modification. We called them regarding the documents and they stated we needed to sign the documents first and then we could reply for the modification to correct the loan and they would not consider a modification until the documents were signed and filed with the court. We signed the documents to be considered for a modification/correct the modification per our discussion with them. They made us wait 4 to 5 weeks until this process was completed. Once they verified everything was signed and filed with the court they sent us a letter stating they would not approve us a modification and would proceed with the foreclosure. They foreclosed on the house on XX/XX/XXXX and then purchased the property at the auction for {$100000.00} less than our mortgage loan balance. They sold the property through an on-line bid to someone on XX/XX/XXXX and extended the bid date to XX/XX/XXXX when they were able to get us to move out on XX/XX/XXXX because they had a female representative that kept coming by the house while we were at work that asked my children under the age of XXXX years old questions about living at the home and placed several notices on the door that we will be evicted and to call them ASAP. We contacted them and they offered us the cash for keys to leave on XX/XX/XXXX. When we spoke with Wells Fargo several times about getting a modification and to stop the foreclosure they stated it was a better business decision for them to foreclosure on the property.

Problem with fees
Complaint: Hello, I opened a landscaping credit account with Wells Fargo Outdoor solution in XXXX of XXXX. My account has a no interest if paid in full by XX/XX/XXXX clause. After the landscaping was installed, I immediately set up auto payment with my bank to ensure the final payment would be made on XX/XX/XXXX with the first payment submitted on XX/XX/XXXX. Payments were made like clockwork on the XXXX of every month thereafter. I did not check my account again until XX/XX/XXXX when I noticed every month I was receiving a late fee and interest. I immediately called Wells Fargo and they indicated that because I made my payment every month one day prior to the billing cycle opening date every payment is considered late. At that point they agreed to remove all late fees and interest due to the fact I was unaware my payments were being made early. I then moved my payment date forward with my bank to avoid the same issue moving forward. I have since been checking my account every month to ensure the fees have been removed. It is now XXXX XXXX and some of my fees have been removed but there is still a fee balance of {$210.00}. I have made 3 additional calls to Wells Fargo pleading my case but I am now running into road blocks and my feeling is that Wells Fargo no longer intends to work with me. I explained to the bank that from my history it should be pretty obvious that I am not trying to game the system here and I should not be penalized for making my payments early every month.
