Complaint: XXXX XXXX an employee of XXXX XXXX told me he was the inventory manager for the southeast and wanted to thank me for taking care of him. He picked out of his over inventory XXXX worth of XXXX XXXX merchandise and told me it would be {$800.00}. I thought it odd however he said he was the big boss and could do this. On XX/XX/XXXX, I withdrew {$800.00} from my bank XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX by debit card and went to XXXX and got a money order. He gave me his Wells Fargo bank account information and I deposited the money. Then, he informs me the money wont clear until Tuesday. So he got {$750.00} from me in cash that I again withdrew by debit card. He took it and went to XXXX to deliver my items. After two days and so many deliveries from XXXX XXXX XXXX he promised me it would happen. On Tuesday, XX/XX/19 he said they attempted to deliver but no one answered the door. I checked my security system and no one ever tried to deliver. I let him know this he said XXXX XXXX investigated by following the GPS on the delivery truck and the driver was parked at XXXX. He said but now the driver is trying to charge me for delivery. {$2000.00}. I said I didnt have it. He said he would use the initial {$800.00} towards my delivery and just needed {$1000.00} more. But that he would return {$1800.00} to me in XXXX XXXX gift cards and go to the store with me to change them into cash. I didnt know they dont do this. So on Friday XX/XX/19 I again withdrew {$1000.00} from An atm at XXXX and went inside and got a money order. I then went to Wells Fargo and deposited the money into his Wells Fargo account. He said if the money clears delivery will be Friday. The money didnt clear til Saturday. I was talking to him on the phone as he was driving to the XXXX XXXX XXXX store. He said I am getting pulled over. Cops are coming. I literally never heard from him again until XXXX that afternoon when I received text messages from his number. The mystery person told me he was in jail. I repeatedly asked for my {$2500.00} back. They told me no. I said Im going to the police. They said try to make a case. Anyways I have been lied to. There were no goods delivered ever. I want my XXXX money back. Please help!!! I have proof of the deposits and withdrawals from my bank.

Banking errors
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I deposited a personal check for {$70.00} via mobile deposit that my mother gave me. This deposit was successfully posted to my account on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received an alert about my Wells Fargo checking account, that it was debited {$70.00} for duplicate mobile deposit. Immediately I checked my statements to see if somehow this check from 4 months ago had been posted twice, and it was not. It was only posted once. I called on XX/XX/XXXX and was told that the debit was still pending, so I called again on XX/XX/XXXX. They told me that they would open a case, and they couldn't tell me how this happened if I was not the recipient of the duplicate deposit. I was told that this case would take two weeks to complete. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter in resolution to the case stating that Wells Fargo was correct in this adjustment. They stated that " Our records show that the check # XXXX was used for your mobile deposit confirmation # __ made on XX/XX/XXXX and posted accordingly. In addition, the same check # XXXX was also deposited into another customer 's account on XX/XX/XXXX. '' My check that has MY name on it was somehow taken by someone else ( which is highly unlikely because I do NOT throw out my checks without ripping them ), and Wells Fargo took my money and handed it over to this person, and thought there was nothing wrong with what they did. I called and I spoke to XXXX. He agreed that this wasn't right and reopened the case on XX/XX/XXXX. I called again to see if anything had been done the next day, and was told no, but that they would escalate the claim to their Executive Online Office. I spoke to XXXX, and she tried to tell me that because the physical check takes precedence over a mobile deposit, they did not honor my deposit. No one seems to understand the problem is that someone who is not me and whose name did not match the name on the check was able to cash it and Wells Fargo knowingly gave them my money. I was told that someone would call me in 1-3 business days. I never received a call. In fact, I called on XX/XX/XXXX, and was told that the claim was not filed in my name, but my mother 's, even though I was the one who had been calling. My account is a joint account, but I never mentioned my mother 's name. Between XXXX, I spoke to at least 3-4 people, who told me the same scripted response as the letter before saying " we'll open ANOTHER claim. '' On XX/XX/XXXX, I was told that this check was cashed at XXXX. XXXX does not cash personal checks as per their website, and they require a valid ID. The XXXX employee would immediately see that the pay to the order of name did not match the ID. Wells could not even tell me what state this supposed XXXX was cashed in. I spoke to XXXX in the executive department on XX/XX/XXXX and she said that she would investigate and call me on XX/XX/XXXX. She called on XX/XX/XXXX and told me that this was not Wells Fargo 's problem, there's nothing they can do, it's my fault that I didn't destroy the check. I explained that this was check fraud and that Wells Fargo needs to give me my money back because it is clear as day that I was not the one who deposited the check on XX/XX/XXXX. She just insisted that I take it up with the issuing bank, my mother 's bank, XXXX XXXX. That same day, I called back as I noticed that there were two photocopies of the check that they had sent me. One was blank on the endorsement side, presumably the one I had deposited, and the second check was stamped by " Wells Fargo Bank XXXX XXXX '' on XX/XX/XXXX. This indicated to me that Wells Fargo was the one to deposit the check or at least was sent this check to review. I immediately called them and spoke to the Online Banking department supervisor XXXX. She told me that she would order a copy of the same check I was looking at so that she could take a look. I even read off the numbers on the stamp to her. She called me back 2 hours later to say that she had not yet received anything but that she would call me first thing in the morning. She did not call me back on XX/XX/XXXX, and has yet to call me on XX/XX/XXXX.
My mother and I went to her bank as per XXXX 's instruction. The banker at XXXX showed that the check was only cleared from my mother once, so on their end, there's nothing they can do, and WELLS FARGO IS THE ONE WHO MUST FIX IT! The banker was expressed our exact sentiment that this whole situation is fishy and Wells Fargo should have never taken the money from me and given it to this XXXX XXXX. I went into my local Wells Fargo branch and the banker also agreed that this didn't make sense. She could not do anything differently than I did and had to contact the same Online Banking department. On XX/XX/XXXX I called back to see how long this case would take again. It has almost been a month and I have not been refunded, and I refuse to wait another two weeks. I asked the rep to escalate my case. I was transferred to the Consumer Case Management Department. I then spoke to XXXX, who looked at the notes and told me that there was nothing different than what they told me on XX/XX/XXXX. We both found that very odd and he reopened the case and added in that they take better notes. He found the whole situation as confusing as I did and did not understand why they haven't given me my money back since I was not the one that cashed the check. I was told I would receive a call in 1-3 business days. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received that call. I told the banker that I wanted this investigated by Wells Fargo as fraud. He transferred me once again to the Online Banking Department. This banker told me that since I had filed three claims already in pursuit of my money back, I was out of luck and there's nothing they could do. I asked him for the person 's name who took my check, and he told me he can't give that out. I asked him what state this " XXXX '' was in, and he couldn't tell me. I was furious that Wells Fargo refuse to take responsibility. It's been a month and somehow they can't figure out that this is fraud!!!! The banker told me all I could do was file a police report. You don't need the police to give me my money back, you have the information of who did this in front of you for God 's sake! They said that they transferred it to another CUSTOMER 'S account, meaning that this person is a customer of Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo stamped this check. Wells Fargo is responsible and I am sure that one of their workers did this fraud and that everyone 's covering up for them.

Complaint: I contacted WELLS FARGO on XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX to inquire if we have the option of a non impound or non escrow account and what is their process. The representative said that they will mail out a form for us to review. I called the next morning on XX/XX/2019 at XXXX XXXX to inquire about the name of their form which the rep name XXXX said it was an Escrow Deletion Form. We expected to receive this form to review it and make our decision after reviewing the form. We had an escrow shortage due XX/XX/2019 in the amount of {$160.00}, we paid it on XX/XX/2019. After paying the shortage our escrow balance had a credit of XXXX ( XXXX Cents ). On XX/XX/2019 we paid our XX/XX/XXXX Mortgage payment which {$390.00} goes to escrow but the escrow balance is showing a negative $ XXXX. It should be a credit of {$390.00}. On XX/XX/2019 we paid our XX/XX/XXXX Mortgage payment and {$390.00} goes to escrow but our escrow balance is showing {$25.00}. Instead of receiving an Escrow Deletion Form in the mail we got an Escrow Closing Notice that was dated for XX/XX/2019 indicating that our escrow account will close on XX/XX/2019 stating because we asked them to close it and if we want to keep the escrow account we must call the number in the account information box by XX/XX/2019. I called on XX/XX/2019 to inform them that I did not ask them to close it. I followed up with a letter and faxed it to them on XX/XX/2019. Then, we received a Notification of Assignment, Sale or Transfer from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX also dated for XX/XX/2019 the same date as the Escrow Closing Notice from WELLS FARGO effective XX/XX/2019. The transfer of ownership has not been publicly recorded. WELLS FARGO remain as the Servicer for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I contacted XXXX XXXX and left a message for someone to return my call and No one ever did. Now, we just received a Transfer of Servicing of Your Mortgage Loan dated for XX/XX/2019, Effective XX/XX/2019, the servicing of our loan is being transferred to XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX. WELLS FARGO will no longer be accepting payments. This seems like a tactic of WELLS FARGO to make it difficult for us when we decide to have a non impound account.

Complaint: During the purchase of the home, I paid the seller to remove the existing roof and install a completely new roof per manufacturer guidelines and installation instructions based on a 20 year Labor and Material warranty. The roof was not done correctly at all. I am suing the Seller and the Roofer, but they have announced they are broke and can't fix the damages. I can't live in the home as I am allergic to the mold growing in the walls and ceilings. I can't fix the home as I can't afford to myself, because it is about XXXX worth of damages as a result of the water intrusion. So I don't know what I can do ... It is a clear breach of contract, which I shouldn't be liable to maintain the deal on the purchase of the home. It is a clear violation of the VA loan requirements because the roof doesn't prevent water intrusion to the home.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I went to my local Wells Fargo bank to discuss bringing all of my banking to them and inquire about personal loans for a remodel I am having done at a home I just purchased. The banker was very helpful and let me know the options I have. I returned on XX/XX/XXXX with a cashier check from my previous bank for roughly {$24000.00}, opened new checking and savings accounts with Wells Fargo. I We proceeded to discuss a personal loan for {$17000.00}, and my banker offered to apply online for me. I wanted to know what rates are available. The banker used the online tool to get an APR range of 5.5 % -9.75 % based on my terms/credit score. The banker explained that with my score and history, I will most likely be at the lower end of this range. I was further told that due to my newly formed banking relationship and my option of auto payments, I would be offered discount on the rate of up to .25 %. We received an immediate " conditional approval '', pending a tax return and recent paystub. I sent those to the banker within the hour. On XX/XX/XXXX I received an email from Wells Fargo that I have been approved, however I need to login to the site and determine the next steps. At this point I found on the website that my rate was approved for 14.276 %, which is nowhere near the APR quoted by the website and the branch banker. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent an email to the banker and asked why the rate was not correct based on our discussions. The banker explained that this must be an error and she would involve her manager and contact the loan offices in their executive branch. I received a call from XXXX from the execute offices on XX/XX/XXXX after I had emailed the branch banker again for an update. XXXX left an email that he was reviewing the case and would give me an update. I called XXXX back within the hour and spoke to another rep who reiterated that same info verbally and told me I will get a call back with the final decision. I had to email my branch banker several times after for an update due to the lack of response from XXXX. I finally received a call back on XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX. XXXX claimed that the rates on the website are for illustrative purposes only and Wells Fargo is not obligated to honor these rates. I emailed my branch banker with the results of my call with XXXX, and XXXX explained that his report is not accurate and there is nothing on the website that explains that. XXXX sent me an email that explains that Wells Fargo 's ' online rate does not include a base rate of 5 % ''. XXXX has attempted to contact several loan officers and managers to attempt to help me settle this discrepancy, with no luck. On XX/XX/XXXX when I spoke to XXXX I explained every detail of every conversation that I had at the Wells Fargo branch with the banker, and the manager. Because the banker quoted me the price, XXXX explained that he would look further and escalate the issue to hopefully find resolution. I did not hear from XXXX, though I continued to communicate with XXXX and her manager XXXX at the branch. XXXX called me on XX/XX/XXXX to let me know that Wells Fargo will not honor the rate I was quoted due to them having no obligation for a rate that is on their website. XXXX told me that the case is closed, and there will be no further review. XXXX told me that if I would like to take the loan, I can do so at the 14.276 % rate that was offered. XXXX continued to let me know that he would review with the branch what was said and determine if there were any other valid pieces of information about the delivery of the information to, however this would have no bearing on the case and I would not receive any adjusted rate offers. No resolution has been provided.

Complaint: Wells Fargo purchased my mortgage from XXXX, subsuming the terms of my mortgage contract. Wells Fargo has been accepting timely payments from, however refuses to apply them toward my monthly payment. They are instead registering them as " Payments to principal '' -- one of their representatives notified me over the phone that they would still expect a " single, one time payment in the exact amount of the bill '' every month.
The payments I make toward my loan are to be applied at my discretion ; the representative informed me that they would keep applying them to principal regardless of what my wishes are. To date I have received one legal correspondence from Wells Fargo notifying me that my " XXXX '' payment is overdue. From XXXX through XXXX I have submitted {$970.00} in payments. From XXXX through current I have submitted an additional {$310.00} toward monthly payment ; which the rep told me was not applied toward payment.
