Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 I sent myself a check for {$440.00} from my unemployment account through XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/2019 I had not received the check so! phoned their customer service. I was told the check was not sent and the money was credited to my account. I phoned customer service on XX/XX/2019 and was told I have to wait 30 days and file a complaint to get my money back. My car note has bounced due to this.

Problem accessing account
Complaint: I am XXXX and I am not able to leave the house as often as I would like. I have been with U.S. Bank since 2007. On or about XX/XX/XXXX I made a mobile deposit on behalf of my minor son. I initiated the deposit via phone app from his account access screen and some how the deposit ended up in my checking account. The first {$200.00} was made immediately. The next day I received notice saying there will be a 7 business day hold. I eventually ended up with a notice saying Im blocked from online banking. I called and the fraud department told me the Branch Mgr placed the hold and the block on my account. I called the Branch Mgr after the 8th business day and she told me Im permanently blocked and could not explain why.
I have not did any fraudulent activity with my account. My son has made several in person deposits into his savings with the same type of paycheck.
I was accessed overdraft fees and being blocked from online banking and mobile deposits is a total inconvenience

Complaint: I tried to file a fraud claim for fake checks deposited in my account by a scam. The US Bank Risk Department closed my checking and savings account. They said the local branch has to call and they would walk them through the procedure. I went to the XXXX, IL branch and was told by the branch manager I could not file because it was in the fraud department. They kept my last pay check and said I had to pay for the fake checks.

Can't stop withdrawals from your account
Complaint: I use XXXX XXXX for my bank and I feel I'm being taking advantage of with all the overdraft fees I'm charged every month. I feel some transactions get stuck in pending, and when a certain day hits they just slam my account with overdraft fees. I can understand that if I overdraft one fee hitting my account, but the way they are charging me I can overdraft by {$40.00} and they will hit me with 4 overdraft fees making my account negative over {$150.00}. This seems to happen every month. I have contacted them numerous times threatening to close my account, but they will not work with me on getting my fees back. I deposit {$1500.00} every month and I feel like I'm a good customer being taken advantage of. I can attach my bank statements to show an example. I am going to change banks but this has been difficult because this is a government account that I use for my son 's social security. So really they are taking money from my son 's account. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Charged too much interest
Complaint: 1 ) Elan has been conducting predatory lending practices. Allowed spending to go well beyond the limit, then started penalizing with fees, higher interest rates for being over-the-limit and for being unable to pay the high minimum payment. The resulting interest rates were exorbitant, usury and gouging.
2 ) Charing late fees when the payment was received on-time, however I was unable to pay the full minimum due, even though 2/3 of the minimum was interest.
3 ) The total owed as part of the XX/XX/2019 hardship arrangement contains high interest charges for the past several years, which was based on incorrect information provided by XXXX. I have been unable to reach anyone at XXXX to help correct the information. When addressing the issue with Elan, they refused to work with me until I mention that I was filing a report with CFPB.

Complaint: US Bank has refused to work with me to assume or pay off my husband 's existing mortgage since he defaulted and we are still in divorce court. US Bank has ruined my professional reputation by advertising that they are foreclosing on me, even though they have told me that I am not on their mortgage or note, and owe them nothing.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 I Deposited my payroll check of the amount of {$610.00} into my US Bank account. They then put a hold on my payroll check, I have tried to go it to two different branches and called multiple time and they will not help me. They wont ever tell me the correct date for when my pay check will be available. I have been told 4 different days. They have charged me over deft fee because money was taken out of the account and they have informed me that the charges will continue to charge me until money is place into the account however, I don't get paid again for another week so I am unable to place more money into the account. US Bank refuses to help me in anyway and they wont stop the fees or take the hold of so I can pay my bills. My account is just of 47 days old and US bank told me the they place hold on any money coming into accounts for the first 90 days. However, When I opened the account the employee told me that because I have a loan through them that this would not apply to me. I was miss in formed from the start if I would have known this information from the start I wont have open my account with this bank.

Complaint: I was targeted to receive a {$300.00} bonus. I received a flyer in the physical mail ( code is : XXXX ) I took it to my local branch and sat down with a personal banker by the name of XXXX. I gave him the flyer and he did the rest. I signed all the papers and that was it. I was to make 2 or more direct deposits totaling {$1000.00} within 60 days. Did that. I was to receive my bonus in 60 days of DD verification ( XX/XX/XXXX ). I called and spoke with XXXX on the XXXX and the XXXX of XXXX. Both times saying to check back on Friday of that week. The bonus still not showing up. I then called the XXXX #. They said they would e-mail their promotions department. That could take another week! All I want is the bonus in a timely manner. That's not much to ask.

Complaint: US Bank approved my loan modification agreement on XX/XX/XXXX This began a three month trial period in which each required payment of {$2600.00} was made on time. During this time the Bank notified the Credit Bureus that my payments to the original mortgage were not being made which lowered both my wife and my credit score by XXXX points!
I was never informed this would happen and only found out checking my credit. The loan modification approval happened on XX/XX/XXXX with all required signatures dated XX/XX/XXXX. Now after repeated letters to US Bank and many phone calls requesting the Bank properly notify Credit Agencies no such action has happened. Both my time and XXXX on my wife and I in not bending able to move forward with new financial matters is why I request your assistance.

Complaint: A bank that gave me a deposit slip on XX/XX/XXXX confirming receipt of checks and cash totaling {$2300.00}, today notified me that they're debiting my account by {$1400.00}.
I'm the XXXX of a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX organization that banks with XXXX and as XXXX I regularly make deposits in person at a local USBank branch following events that the organization holds throughout the year. I always keep an XXXX spreadsheet with a breakdown of the deposit that identifies each check being deposited and the number of each kind of cash bill being deposited and I have copies of almost all such deposits going back to XXXX as Ive been XXXX all those years.
On XX/XX/XXXX, the organization had a luncheon for seniors event where the charge to attend was an even {$20.00} per person. About 125 people attended the luncheon ( we were only charged for XXXX ) and we collected some payments in advance but most people paid at the door. On XX/XX/XXXX, I made an in person deposit at the bank totaling {$2300.00}, consisting of ten checks totaling {$590.00} and cash totaling {$1700.00}. The {$1700.00} cash breakdown was all in bills, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX. I received from the bank teller a stamped deposit slip for {$2300.00}.
At least 2-3 weeks later, the bank called to tell me that there was a discrepancy in the amount of cash received and especially in the number of XXXX deposited that day. I told them that I was absolutely sure that I deposited XXXX XXXX dollar bills and suggested they check their camera footage. Over the following couple of weeks, they called again 3-4 more times and I even sent them a copy of my spreadsheet showing my deposit breakdown, etc., and pointed out that my file folder date and timestamp on that spreadsheet file was for the day and afternoon before the deposit was made.
Today they called again and I asked them to send me an email as I was getting frustrated with all the calls. The email today says We will need to debit {$1400.00} from the account ending XXXX since we did not see XXXX bills of XXXX on the date of XX/XX/XXXX.
That email also raises another issue for the first time : " I dont see any large cash deposit on the account ending XXXX for past few years, so wanted to check why only this time you had large cash deposit. '' She obviously didn't check my XX/XX/XXXX cash deposit totaling {$1500.00} ( which included XXXX XXXX! ), a XX/XX/XXXX cash deposit of {$1100.00}, and another cash deposit for {$1100.00} a month prior on XX/XX/XXXX. That's after just a quick glance through some deposits, but I'm sure they didn't realize that I keep copies of them all!
I hope you can resolve it before I have to involve an attorney and the media.
