Threatened to sue you for very old debt
Complaint: Called my brother looking for me and told him that they needed to reach me due to a complaint that has been filed against me. I had never spoken to this company before or received a letter. I called them and they told me I owe money from overdraft fees on a US bank account from XX/XX/XXXX for about 2100 dollars. She said that it was sent to collections in XX/XX/XXXX resulting in it still falling within statue of limitations. I asked for another letter since I didn't receive it and she said it was too late because I was in process of getting sued and I need to pay XXXX dollars in 3 days and then XXXX dollars a month til it's paid off. I know they violated the fair credit reporting act by giving a relative information. They also will not mIl me anything and I cannot find information about the business at all. They claim to be XXXX XXXX XXXX with phone XXXX

Incorrect information on your report

Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Credit reporting

Account status incorrect
Complaint: This complaint is against US bank my credit card, the number is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, which was paid in full XX/XX/2019 before the due date. I called the company and asked for a payoff balance which they gave me as being {$2300.00} gvien the fact that I had asked for a payoff balance earlier and the above amount was given. When the atatement came out it showed me still owing {$18.00}, which I feel that I do not owe because when you pay the balance that XXXX out the account. What I was told that the cash advance interest had not be charged as the time of the pay off, which to me is usary or fraud, what ever the case I shouldn't have to pay that money and not to mention the other charges the representative informed me that is forthcoming. This isn't the first time I have had an issue with US bank regarding the interest on my outstanding balance. What they do is charge a standare interest and then a daily APR which is two interest fees being charged to the customer. I have attached two bank statements explaining my situation and their fee charges practices that needs to be corrected and disallowed.

Struggling to pay mortgage

Mortgage: Conventional home mortgage

Complaint: When i first bought my home in XX/XX/2017, after a few months my home owners insurance was cancelled because I didn't schedule a time for someone to come inspect my home ( even though this had already been done prior to starting the home owners insurance ). My insurance was cancelled. My mortgage lender never notified me that they would have to force-place insurance on my home. After I received new insurance, I called to update them on my new plan. I was told that they weren't aware that my insurance was cancelled because they weren't informed. So they said that since my home wasn't insured for the time I was without insurance, they would have to force-place insurance for months missed. Now my mortgage payments have gone from around {$620.00} to {$1100.00} per month and I am struggling to make payments. I looked into the laws for force-placed insurance and found this ; " The servicer must send the first notice at least 45 days before purchasing a force-placed insurance policy. The servicer must then send a second noticea reminder noticeno earlier than 30 days after the first notice and at least 15 days before charging the borrower for force-placed insurance coverage. This notice must include the cost of the force-placed insurance or a reasonable estimate of the cost. ( 12 C.F.R. 1024.37 ). '' None of this happened as my mortgage company was " unaware '' that I was without insurance. Please advise if there is any action I can take to amend this. I am already on new insurance but I am still having to pay these extra fees until XXXX.

Closing on a mortgage

Mortgage: Conventional home mortgage

Complaint: I am the seller of a home in XXXX, Tennessee. The buyer came to me pre-approved through US Bank with an offer on my home on XXXX XX/XX/2019. We signed the contracts and agreed to a closing date of XXXX XX/XX/2019. His mortgage agent, XXXX XXXX, with the US Bank office in XXXX, Kentucky, informed her client and I all that was well and on track for closing on XXXX XX/XX/2019. Two days prior to the closing date, we learned she failed to follow up with the appraiser who did not show up until XXXX XX/XX/2019. This was the first time the closing was postponed, as the appraiser 's report did not arrive until XXXX XX/XX/2019, with stipulations, which I promptly rectified. XXXX XXXX failed to inform her client, the buyer of my home, that the FHA program they were using for this home expired on XXXX XX/XX/2019 ; this then required the buyer to seek another mortgage program. They agreed to a conventional mortgage, and we amended the original contract to allow for any stipulations, including closing costs. Due to delays caused by the lack of contact availability of either Ms. XXXX, or her supervisor, XXXX XXXX, with US Bank, we later learned that under US Bank 's, around the last week of XX/XX/2019, that the underwriter required a home inspection, which I thought strange as I was selling the home " as is, as seen. '' Of note, I have been surprised at the amount of time Ms. XXXX, and Ms. XXXX take off from work, and their lack of courtesy in informing their client, the buyer, or myself ahead of time of a planned absence ; whenever I call, I rarely get either of them on the phone, only to learn that Ms. XXXX is off " volunteering, or I have to learn through their voicemail messages that they re out of the office for yet another three days. The buyer had the home inspected, and over the course of another week, all recommendations were promptly rectified, under the verbal agreement that once those repairs were made, Ms. XXXX would submit for a three day close and we would close either XXXX XX/XX/2019, or XXXX XX/XX/2019. In the afternoon of XXXX XX/XX/2019, my wife, XXXX, contacted Ms. XXXX after seeking to contact her all week. Ms. XXXX told XXXX that the buyer had a credit card, long since paid off, that the credit card 's bank failed to verify the card had been paid off. A phone call to the credit card 's by the buyer revealed no attempt for contact nor verification had been attempted on the part of US Bank. At the time of this writing, neither Ms. XXXX, Ms. XXXX, and as of yet, Mr. XXXX XXXX, the vice president of US Bank in XXXX, Kentucky, have been available for contact, and neither the buyer nor I have any indication my home will close in the near future. This has put my family in a financial situation, as we are currently living in a borrowed camper, and have been doing so since XXXX XX/XX/2019, in order for me to assume my new position as a teacher in the local high school in my new location. Ms. XXXX 's lack of due diligence, will potentially cost me the house I have been in the process of buying in Louisiana. I hereby request steps be taken to rectify the poor abilities of this mortgage agency to perform their duties prior to me and my family losing the remainder of our savings to maintain our existence while I work, and my children attend school.

Problem with a purchase shown on your statement

Credit card or prepaid card: General-purpose credit card or charge card

Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: XXXX : I was signed up for overdraft protection which was tied to my XXXX checking account. I started to see charges on my credit card statements in XXXX XXXX for cash advances that I did NOT make. I called in and was told these were for the overdraft protection and no clear resolution was made. The charges appear as XXXX overdraft protection. Now, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I noticed that charges again and called the bank. It seems that is almost every month in XXXX, the over draft charges were made, and showed up as cash advances on my credit card. Thus, the bank is basically saying that my auto payments from my linked checking account showed an overdraft and thus the payments to my credit card were actually made by a cash advance from that same credit card. Complete lunacy!!! The issue is that I have always had money in my checking account, except for once, XXXX XXXX, but that was a banking error and the balance was restored the very next day. Thus, I'm now showing cash advance balance of over {$4900.00}, with daily interest charges! This is totally erroneous. My bank has always had enough money in the account for the payments. It is just that when I use auto pay - they debit it like an over draft and I'm made to pay for it! I refuse to pay for this. They are stealing money from me, regardless of the what the agreement says. I was never made aware that my account was below zero because it wasn't below zero.

Problem using a debit or ATM card
Complaint: Usbank is refusing to tell me the currency exchange rate payed to usbank by the Visa corporation. The Visa corporation does all the processing for Visa debit cards issued by US Bank. The Visa corporation applies a 1 % processing fee for foreign currency u.s. Bank applies a 2 % processing fee for a total international processing fee of 3 % on foreign currency and 2 % for USD. The problem is that usbank is giving customers less on the on the exchange than they are receiving from the Visa corporation for the foreign currency exchange on all international purchases. I want usbank to provide me with the details of the ATM and debit card purchases between the dates of XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I want usbank to describe the amount paid to them by the Visa corporation and the amount that was inturn given to me by usbank for the transactions. Usbank was receiving more than they were awarding to me for the transactions that means that usbank was keeping money from my foreign transactions which means US Bank was embezzling funds from my account which means if they were embezzling funds from my account they are embezzling funds from other accounts. I want usbank to provide me with all the transaction information of my foreign transactions between the dates of XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX. I also want usbank to explain to me why they felt like they could keep money that did not belong to usbank. I am also requesting that usbank return all the funds to me until usbank can explain the processing errors and the exchange rates provided by the Visa corporation then provided to me and my transactions between the dates of XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX.

Company closed your account
Complaint: Applied at US Bank. They closed my account within 2 to 3 days without a notice. Called spoke to a representative. She did not give me any details. Prior to that conversations I tried to contact her for 3 days, left voicemails, had questions. She did not call back. Called again, she had no response. Did not give me a reason. Did not answer simple questions. Such as, is there something I should be concerned about? Is there something I should keep an eye out in case it were to impact my day to day living? She gave me no details. Said she had the right to close my account due to the terms and conditions. I feel it was an act of racism.

Attempts to collect debt not owed

Debt collection: Other debt

Debt was paid
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a voicemail message from an unknown number. When I returned the call at the number a woman left, I spoke with XXXX XXXX of XXXX XXXX XXXX, working on behalf of XXXX XXXX XXXX. He said he was collecting {$1700.00} for US Bank, where I was a former customer 14 years ago, and that if I refused to pay, I could be liable for 3 times that amount. Fearing that it might pop up on my credit report, I agreed to pay, since after all, Mr. XXXX had my former address at the time of the debt, my Social Security number, and specific DDA details. Still feeling suspicious, I did some internet research, and found out that US Bank sold my debt to XXXX XXXX XXXX back in XXXX, a firm whose CEO, XXXX XXXX, was indicted for fraud. Moreover, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX received an F rating from the New York XXXX, due to returned mail. XXXX phone number is XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX uses the phone number XXXX. If I have to repay my debt, it will not be to a scammer!
