Complaint: Re TARGET XXXX. I am so grateful Senator XXXX XXXX established This organization and President Obama set XXXX Director. TARGET is attempting to collect {$240.00} which I do not owe. XX/XX/XXXX I was hospitalized. My Son made {$20.00} payment on acct for flat screen TV. XX/XX/XXXX acct was paid in full BEFORE year purchase. I receive demand for {$25.00} late fee. This fee was set because My Son did not pay {$25.00} XXXX TARGET determined {$5.00} was late, therefore, I owed {$30.00}. I called TARGET, placed messages for CEO. Contacted Billing, speaking to someone in another country advising the fee is legitimate. Having paid acct in full mattered not. Calls, connections, TARGET reps calling to say the problem was handled. And ... There is Collection Agency threatening lawsuit, threatening to RUIN my Excellent credit which I have worked determinedly to preserve. I am senior, can not afford RUINED CREDIT resulting from TARGET XXXX determination to collect {$240.00} because My son, trying to help, made {$20.00} payment instead of {$25.00}. Paying full balance as soon as I was released from Hospital, having Always paid more than {$25.00} month meant nothing to TARGET. My TV was purchased XX/XX/XXXX. Paid in full XX/XX/XXXX. TARGET received payments {$40.00}, {$50.00} and more. I was excellent TARGET customer. And now MY GOOD CREDIT is being ruined all because of {$5.00}. HELP, Please. Do not allow TARGET to ruin My credit nor XXXX, XXXX, Florida to bring lawsuit for an charge I DO NOT OWE. Thank You. Currently I am almost homeless due to Toxic mold in My Apt XXXX I can not live in Toxic Apt XXXX I am sleeping on Friend, Family sofas. Mail goes to RA. My Son collects when He has time. This time in My Life is nothing I would have ever expected as respectable & responsible Senior. I can not afford for My Good Credit to be ruined especially if I must, regretfully, from place I 've resided nearing to XXXX years. My Good Credit permitted TARGET to open Acct immediately for an almost Five hundred dollar flat screen television. Complaint: I have had a Target Visa Red Card since XX/XX/XXXX.I never had a late payment and by XX/XX/XXXX I had a credit limit of {$5000.00} with a cash limitof {$2100.00}. In the beginning of XX/XX/XXXX Target lowered my credit limit to {$3500.00} and cash limit to {$0.00} with no warning, no letter, and no explanation. I called, the first rep was not helpful, saying they always send a letter, did not want to give me a supervisor or credit ananlyst, saying they would say the same things he did. I finally got transferred to a supervisor.She could give me no reason for the decrease, and she saw there had been no letter sent with notification or explanation. She noted I had recently updated my income. After lookin over my history she told me she could not reinstate the limit manually but it would be reinstated in the upcoming review. She indicated the review was soon. As of today XX/XX/XXXX my limit has not been reinstated. This is not the first time I 've had a credit supervisor in a company not keep their word about approvals, imcreases, etc. I did nothing to cause the decrease and was given no explanation or a letter before or after.

Complaint: I made a purchase for furniture with XXXX XXXX, check # XXXX is with my checking account at XXXX Bank account. The salesman ( XXXX XXXX ) used wife 's ( XXXX XXXX ) name on the check instead of the furniture store. Someone cashed the check and did not deliver the furniture. The furniture store is no longer in business, and we are having difficulty verifying who cashed the check. This constitutes fraud. I want a refund. XXXX Bank refuses to provide the information about who cashed the check. After several months, they now say it was cashed at TD Bank. XXXX confirmed that they do not verify payees, and will clear a check with anyone 's signature even if it does not match the payee 's name on the check. I contacted TD Bank, upon XXXX Bank 's insistence. but TD Bank is saying to contact XXXX Bank. Neither wants to take responsibility for verifying the payee. TD Bank refuses to give any information to me and says XXXX Bank should contact them so both banks could resolve the issue. XXXX Bank refuses to handle the matter.. Attached is a copy of the XXXX check, and a copy of the audio recording made with TD Bank who says XXXX Bank must contact them. THIS COMPLAINT IS FOR XXXX PARTIES -- TD BANK AND XXXX BANK.

Complaint: TDBank is always messing with my mortgage payments. When l am behind on payments and l make the payments. They will always apply the payments towards principal and legal fees and not my mortgage payments stating that i made extra payments ( l am obviously making my payments ). I spoke to them and confirmed that l did not go to court and made the payments before all court appearance why are they charging me fees. A representative that l spoke to that confirmed that the calls were being recorded confirmed that they can not do that and use my payments towards legal fees that do not exist. I spoke to someone today XXXX/XXXX/2015 and she confirmed she submitted the request and they still have not removed the payments from legal fees and principal towards my mortgage payment for the month of XXXX and it is the end of the month. She stated it is being recorded and told me l do not have to repeat myself and l told her this is the second time they are messing up my mortgage account which led to them saying l am now paying for legal fees that l have no idea of and never went to court

Complaint: Several of my accounts as well as my information was compromised back a couple of years ago without my knowledge. By the time I realized what was going, the account was sold off to a third party collection agencies so therefore, the damage was already done. I reached out to Target Bank on several occasions trying to get information regarding the account so that I could determine it was truly my debt and all they replied with was that we no longer service this account. Therefore, I requested my credit report and contacted the collection agency XXXX XXXX requesting advising them that I believe this account had fraudulent activities on it prior to it being sold. I also asked them to provide me with copies of all activity including the transaction history so that I could review it. They stated they would provide it but I never heard back from them nor did I receive anything. I even tried reaching out to Target requesting to speak with someone in their fraud/resolution department and all they reply with is that you have the put the request in writing in which I already have but never received a response.

Complaint: I am a Widow who has asked for assistance and denied, never receiving assistance. I have a relevant case of extreme hardship due to the passing of my husband. Prior to his death I had never been late ever with my mortgage or had any problems. With my husband now gone my finances have changed drastically. I have been asking for assistance from TD Bank but they have and continue to deny me help. I cooperated with them fully providing them with all the documents they asked for including my prior tax documents that showed our combined salaries and what it had become after his death, I also provided my paystubs and his death certificate. The loss of a spouse is not only the greatest grief but the loss of income is truly a great hardship. They played the usual game and I was denied again even though I gave them concrete proof. I needed my loan modified to a smaller payment so that I could keep up the payments, I do n't have far to go to finish paying off the balance. Because TD denied me help, in order to keep up the payments current and on time, I used my savings to supplement my income. Now my savings is gone and there is nothing left to supplement. I am behind, a car repair problem caused a setback in my ability to make payments to them. I only owe them approximately {$27000.00}, my monthly payments are {$450.00} and would have been able to keep money in my savings to brace against an emergency had I received assistance from TD Bank where I have a home equity loan. It is only though greed and calloused, mercilessness that institutions play with the lives of those who fallen on hard times. It is a shameful embarrassment the way they are coldblooded and cruel. Under the current administration, there are mortgage programs that would assist me but TD Bank would rather harass me for payments that I 'm unable to make rather than offer a solution where we can all benefit. Each week they send me threating letters of foreclosure, I know from past experiences, if I continue to send them requests for assistance, they have no intentions of helping me with anything but out of my co-op if I ca n't pay. TD Bank holds the home equity loan and I am currently unable to pay and I am being harassed rather than given any assistance. The mistreatment I 've received needs to be exposed and I 'm telling my story. Shame on them.

Complaint: This is the second complaint against TD Bank NA. ( XXXX ). I applied for a Home Equity Line of Credit in XXXX 2015. I am asking for a {$50000.00} line of credit for a rental property that is worth {$270000.00} ( according to their home inspection ). I will pay off the current mortgage ( which is under {$20000.00} ) and do a few small repairs ( less than {$2000.00} ). It was there suggestion that I ask for Home Equity Loan of {$50000.00} @ 5 % interest. Now there asking for information on my residence. I have provided them with everything I could. I have a small home equity loan ( {$32000.00} ) on my residence. ( No first mortgage -- just the he loan. ) They are asking for a statement which I provided. I deal with a credit union that provides a comprehensive statement that includes checking, savings, and loan information. TD Bank will not accept it. I went to my credit union and they were willing to write a letter, but TD wo n't accept that either. First of all this loan is on a property that THEY valued at {$270000.00}. I really only wanted {$30000.00} to pay off the mortgage and do some repairs. I have provided them with the information they requested. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is willing to write them a letter but they won '' t accept it. They obviously do n't want to give me the loan and want me to give up.

Complaint: I have had the same Home Equity Credit Line for the past 18 years. My original loan was with a bank that TD Bank bought and the loan and conditions were grandfathered to TD Bank. The loan has no expiration date and is what TD Bank calls an Evergreen loan. Recently, TD Bank has been trying to get me to change the conditions of the loan to one which has a 10 year cap, which means the loan ends in 10 years. The bank is asking me to requalify for the existing loan on an annual basis which forces me to complete an absurd amount of paper work. The bank has told me that if I agree to change the conditions of the loan to the 10 year cap there would be no paper work now, or in the future. I have never been asked to provide any additional paperwork in the 18 years that I have the loan. This is clearly HARRASSMENT to get me to change the loan, which is not in my best interest. I have made repeated to clarify this with the bank but have not been successful.

Complaint: This complaint is in reference to my account at TD BankRouting Number : XXXXAccount Number : XXXX opened a TD Convenience Checking account on XXXX XXXX 2015 with a deposit of {$100.00}. One of the requirements for this account is to maintain a balance of {$100.00}. I have never made a withdrawal from this account. Due to a bank error with their website/back-end I was unable to sign up for online banking online. This forced me to go into the branch to get online banking setup. By this time the first statement had closed and I was charged a {$1.00} " Paper Statement Fee '' on XXXX/XXXX/2015 which caused my balance to drop to {$99.00}. TD recognized this error and refunded the {$1.00} within on XXXX/XXXX/2015. The problem is, however, that this caused my average daily balance for the statement cycle to be below {$100.00}. This caused their system to charge a {$15.00} maintenance fee in the next statement on XXXX/XXXX/2015. TD again recognized this error and refunded the fee on XXXX/XXXX/2015, however, again the " average '' daily balance was again below {$100.00}, and thus generated a {$15.00} maintenance fee in the next statement on XXXX/XXXX/2015. Again TD refunded the fee on XXXX/XXXX/2015. To stop this cycle they had created. I added an additional {$100.00} on XXXX/XXXX/2015 to make sure the average balance could not go below {$100.00}, but they charged the fee again on XXXX/XXXX/2015. This time they are refusing to refund the latest {$15.00} Fee even though this whole ordeal was originally caused by an error on their website.
