Complaint: I received a late fee on my account, which i was told ; would be forgiven. I was instructed to subtract the {$25.00} late fee from my total balance. I subtracted the {$25.00} late fee and paid my balance in full. Recently I received a statement from the credit card holder. Assuming there was zero balance, I prepared to tear the statement for disposal. While tearing the statement I found there was a {$97.00} balance. I called the merchant right away to clarify the Charges because I had made NO purchase since the last balance pay off. After calling the merchant I found that the {$25.00} late fee was not waived as promised and go figure Target said they had no record of the phone call where the rep promised to forgive the {$25.00} late fee. In addition to Target not waiving the late fee they charge additional late fees on top of a late fee. Target the Merchant offer no options to resolve the issue, I was only able to speak with collections who has no capabilities of resolving balance issues, from my understanding Customer service does but my account can only be handle by collections. Collections continue to call me to threaten additional late fees although I closed the account and request to formally dispute the amount, they continue to charge late fees on a late fee balance with no means to resolve the issue. the balance on my account is all driven from the targets ongoing late fees not one cent is from purchases made by me. I have been a Target credit card holder Since XX/XX/1993 I do not have a history of late fee 's or outstanding balances, Target recognize my account history but offer no options to retain me as valued customer not one. Sounds like they want to keep the issue open so they can continue adding late fee expense to my account

Complaint: I had multiple accounts with TD Bank for a year or two and then ran into financial trouble. A check bounced and one of my accounts with TD was overdrawn and subsequently closed out by them due to the negative balance. I assumed they were closing out my other accounts as well however they are telling me that they have placed a " freeze '' on these accounts which means the funds cant be touched and the accounts cant be closed until I pay them for the one account that was overdrawn. They are still charging me fees on accounts every month even though I cant access the $ 400+ still in the savings and checking accounts and it seems illegal to me.

Complaint: Target Red credit card charged me return fee ( {$27.00} ) for payment return as the checking a/c was closed. I contacted them and explained that it was not the case that I do not have funds but the a/c was closed. They said that they will not reverse. From the website, I found following- '' RETURNED PAYMENT FEE -- You will pay {$27.00} each time any check or other payment order ( including an electronic payment ) is not honored by a depository institution. In any event, the Returned Payment Fee will not be greater than the Minimum Payment Due that was due immediately prior to the date on which the payment was returned to us. '' It was a return not related to funds but a/c closure so these charges should have not been levied but a chance or atleast notification should have been sent to customer. Since I check my XXXX account every day so I notice that payment has been rejected by bank so I made the manual payment on my own without notification by target XXXX

Complaint: I deposited a Foreign Bank Check on XX/XX/2017 at my local TD Bank Branch. I received a 'Credit Advice ' communication, dated XX/XX/2017 from TD Bank acknowledging that funds were received from the foreign bank and that the funds were credited to my account on XX/XX/2017. The exchange rate ( XXXX to USD@XXXX ) used by TD Bank on XX/XX/2017 was significantly lower than market rates. On XX/XX/2017 the funds were still not in my account. I called XXXX and talked to customer service agent who transferred me to another department where I was on hold for 15 mins plus before I hung up. I then went down to my local branch to ask about the missing deposit. They are looking into it and will get back to me.

Complaint: I had a Nordstrom credit card which charged off in XX/XX/XXXX with a balance of {$920.00} when I was having financial difficulties. I recently tried to call and settle the balance, but they refused and said the debt had been cancelled/written off. I then received a XXXX and had to include the {$920.00} as income on my XX/XX/XXXX tax return. However, the account is still showing on my credit report with a {$920.00} balance and reporting each month that it is delinquent. I called Nordstrom to try to resolve this balance, and they would not accept any payments, nor will they update the balance to {$0.00}, which means I essentially can do nothing to satisfy this account. The account is reporting delinquent EACH month on my credit report. Therefore, my credit score will be negatively affected until the account expires, which is wrong and unfair.

Complaint: I would like to file a complaint about TD Bank. I have had an individual personal checking account with this bank since they took over from XXXX. Their routing number is XXXX and my account number is XXXX. On XX/XX/2017 this account was debited for {$4600.00}. The account also had a hold put on it for the same amount resulting in a net debit of {$9200.00} and subsequently overdraft charge. Since I was unaware what this was I visited the XXXX NJ branch at XXXX on XX/XX/2017 and spoke with their representative XXXX requesting an explanation. He indicated that my son 's student checking account was overdrawn, an account that I had been added on to. I asked him for a copy of the overdraft notice that was sent to me. He was unable to supply it indicating it was sent to the address on record. I asked him if it a notice was sent to me, not my son as I never received anything. He again indicated a notice was sent to the address on record and would not confirm if one was sent to me. I then asked for the copy of notice sent to me indicating they are debiting my account. He replied that they have the right of offset and are not required to send a notice. So, at this point I was not notified of the overdraft on my sons account or debit on my personal account. Finally I asked why my account was debited and put on hold resulting in a double debit. He reviewed the account and indicated it was a bank error and removed the hold and credited back the overdraft charge. The handling of this situation has caused this complaint.

Complaint: I open a credit card in the store with Target two years ago I have not received a statement since. Then I received a letter from a collection agency stating I owed {$290.00} when the original charge was XXXX. I explained that I never received any statements Target mailed me copies of the statements that they received back return to sender because Target had the wrong address for my home address and instead of calling me two years ago to correct the situation they just ignored the problem. When I called target they told me the account was no longer with them to call the collections agency I called the collections agency and they staid to call target back and forth for days with no results. The last person I spoke to was XXXX employee id XXXX she told me there is not anything she could do that I had to pay the total amount I feel this is a bank error and I should only have to pay what the original charge was {$44.00} Target was rude and did not try to assist me in anyway. XXXX said over and over again that Target will not settle the amount when it is a bank error and it is affecting my credit reporting the wrong balance

Complaint: After further investigation and disputes with the company via the credit bureau, I have found that the information listed on my credit report for TD Bank is inaccurate according to the FCRA which states that the date of the first delinquency ( DOFD ) is the date a consumer first became 30 days late and no further payments were made on the account from that date forward. At this stage, the DOFD usually leads to a creditor charging-off the delinquent account. My loan account did meet the DOFD requirements ( 30 days late and no further payments ) to be charged-off by TD Bank. I became aware of a missed XXXX payment that I thought was paid in full in XXXX and made the missed payment. TD Bank is erroneously reporting this account as charged-off. The report shows the DOFD as XXXX and the date of last payment ( the final payment ) as XXXX. Further, when making this final payment, the representative did not make me aware that this debt would be charged-off, which I also understand was the banks ' responsibility. I am turning to CFPB for assistance with this matter because I have exhausted all avenues with the creditor and CRA 's through phone calls, letters, disputes, etc. Thanks. XXXX

Complaint: In 2016 while making a purchase at Target I was asked if I wanted to apply for a Target card to receive 5 % off my {$28.00} purchase. I agreed, I apply and I was approved for a Target Store Card. Weeks passed and I never received my Target card, and frankly I forgot about my {$28.00} purchase. Months later I am contacted by Target Card Services and told that my account is in collections for over {$130.00}. I am told that the balance is a result of my initial {$28.00} purchase plus late fees and interest. We discover during the conversation that Target Card Service had my address incorrect. I appears that the Target representative who I handed my drivers license to when I made my {$28.00} purchase, incorrectly entered my address into the Target Card system. Subsequently, Target Card Services sent my Target Card and statements to the wrong address. I updated my address with Target Card Service and quickly agreed to pay the initial purchase amount of about {$28.00}. However, I refused to pay the late fee and interest since Target Card Service incorrectly captured my address and failed to send me the card or statement balance. Target Card Service acknowledged that they incorrectly entered my address at the time the Target Card application was taken but they have taken a very hard stance on the late fees and interest, and have refused to remove them from the account, even though they acknowledge their error. Now they are attempting to collect the outstanding {$100.00} and have report it to my credit report resulting in my credit score dropping from XXXX to XXXX. I think it is grossly unfair for Target Card Services to acknowledge they captured the wrong address, sent my new Target Card to the wrong address and continued to send my Target Card statements to the wrong address and then attempt to collect {$100.00} in fee and interest. As soon as Target Card Services contacted me, I paid the initial purchase by phone to them.
