Complaint: I am a widow. Seterus is preventing me to assume the mortgage loan to avoid foreclosure. XXXX helped me file a complaint with CFPB, but CFPB said I had to file the complaint myself, case number : XXXX. I have faxed Seterus the original deed, wedding certificate and death certificate. Seterus keeps telling me to go trhough probate. I 've been informed that under the federal code regulations and XXXX 's guidelines, Seterus is supposed to speak to me and allow me to assume the loan. They are going to take my house and no one seems to care. I have already lost my husband, and my son, I am trying to keep the last thing I still have. Please help me.

Complaint: It has now been more than a year that I have no information on my mortgage account. Seterus has systematically refused to send me any information on my mortgage account for more than a year now. They have also shut me off any online access. I spoke with them at least 3 times in the past year. They responded that they needed to receive a " reaffirmation of debt '' from my ( bankruptcy ) lawyer. Even though my mortgage was never part of the bankruptcy, my lawyer still faxed them a Revocation of Legal Representation letter XX/XX/XXXX. This did not change anything. I am still barred from my account. I am not even sure how much I am supposed to pay monthly. Since XX/XX/XXXX I am paying {$540.00}. Is that still the monthly payment 2 years later? I do not know. Twice, I spoke with Seterus Customer Service, the last time XX/XX/XXXX. They promised me access to my account online, but it turned out to be a lie. I then filed a complaint with the XXXX. They responded they had contacted my lawyer but it was another lie.

Complaint: Due to reduce of income I did applied for a loan modification with my mortgage provider ( Saturus Bank ) This process began on XX/XX/XXXX after sending all modification requirements I received a four month Trial package on XX/XX/XXXX the trial began I payed on time as the modification agreement.after completing the trial the modification approval arrive on XX/XX/XXXX. I keep making my payments on time. and Contacting the lender every week. as of today the modification is not finalized due to XXXX XXXX is the owner of my loan and they are reviewing and eventually approve it. my lender keeps confirming that this process could take up to Six months for XXXX to be approve. I been contacting supervisors to get an strong answer of the delay, but every week I received the same answer is under review and keep making your payments .on the other side I received one or two phone calls from the bank requesting payment of the past due and threat me that if I do n't pay the balance I will be in foreclosure and loose the property. My answer is that I am on a modification process and is not finalized. I am requested the bank representative to please check the notes to understand the process and treating me with foreclosure actions.

Complaint: My mother passed away on XXXX/XXXX/11 and resided in her home in XXXX NC. I have been paying the mortgage through Seterus Inc and petitioning the bank to transfer the loan in my name as the legal heir. The bank wants me to have a court document for this financial transaction. I have retained XXXX different attorneys who states that NC law allows realty to be transfer to heirs without legal proceedings and now the statue of limitations has expired for any required court documents.. I also sent Seterus Inc. a special warranty deed demonstrating my financial relationship to the property and home obtained from the attorney. I am financially able to retain the home and would like assistance with a loan modification for assuming the loan..

Complaint: XXXX years ago on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX I suffered XXXX. Which resulted in a XXXX. Only to have XXXX of the XXXX fail and in XXXX XXXX I was having XXXX. Well I was recuperating from my XXXX, my husband suffered a non work related XXXX and was off work for XXXX months. He was on short term XXXX through his work. We fell behind in our mortgage payment. With medication cost increase to {$300.00} a month out of pockets XXXX copays increase to {$1500.00} each. We were not able to get caught up on our mortgage payments even with adding extra each month to the mortgage payments to try and get caught up. In XXXX XXXX Seterus refused to accept any further payments. We were given notice of foreclosure at which time we hired a law firm who said they could stop the foreclosure. In XXXX XXXX our Mortgage servicer Seterus offered a streamline modification, with the first payment starting XXXX XXXX That was sent to the law firm. We were not notified by the law firm of the streamline modification till XXXX XXXX. At which point we borrowed the money to make the mortgage payment by the end of XXXX and fired the law firm. Since then we have been working with the servicer Seterus on our own. We 've made the trial modification payments late due to the late notice and we have not been able to catch them up due to medical expenses. We have just received a permanent modification. Our modification does not seem like a modification. My monthly loan payments have increased by over {$100.00}. They added our back payments and interest to the end of our loan and extended it out to a 40 year loan. There was no reduction in interest rate or principal reduction. Modification in my vocabulary was meant to help us by reducing our monthly mortgage payment not increasing it. My husband is aged XXXX he has his own XXXX issues, and he would like to retire on XXXX XXXX XXXX. We have told them that there will be a income reduction when that happens so we need a modification that will take that into consideration also.
