Complaint: This complaint is being filed by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, currently representing XXXX XXXX XXXX in the Foreclosure Case against her No. XXXX ( Plaintiff : Santander Bank ).
We have been assisting XXXX XXXX throughout a Loss Mitigation Process as she works diligently to avoid foreclosure and resolve her delinquency. All documents requested by the Servicer ( also the Plaintiff, Santander Bank ) have been provided and it has been confirmed all documents have been received.
Santander Bank is not accepting the format on which XXXX XXXX gets paid. In an effort to assist the Servicer to verify income, we have provided supplemental income proof ( XXXX Employer Letter and Tax Return ). The Servicer refuses to verify income for XXXX XXXX and they continue to ask for Pay Stubs to be provided in the specific format they request.
XXXX XXXX XXXX has no other way of showing her income. Her employer will not modify their Pay Stub format for a Loss Mitigation Review. We believe it to be in bad faith that Santander is not considering any alternate way of income verification.

Complaint: On XX/XX/17, I used my Santander debit card at the XXXX XXXX for {$100.00} to purchase a shower head and received the following text, Free text : Santander Fraud. Did you use your card ending XXXX for {$100.00} at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2017? If YES, reply 1, NO reply 2.
I replied 1 and then receive the follow up text, Free text : Thank you, we received your response. The transaction was declined. If you want to make the purchase, have the merchant reprocess the transaction.
I returned to the merchant, showed them the text and the merchant re-processsed the transaction. When I received my monthly statement, {$100.00} was charged twice.
I spoke to the vendor and explained the situation and she said she would not contest the claim if Santander re-issued the chargeback but Santander sent a a letter to me stating the claim was denied.

Complaint: I recently had several unauthorized ATM transactions show on my Santander Bank account. There are still 2 transactions that have not been refunded. {$800.00} on XX/XX/XXXX and {$150.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. Now, I contacted them by phone via relay service ( Im XXXX ), and the call got locked up near the end. So Im not sure if my dispute was actually filed or not. I decided to communicate through the CFPB instead of relay service so that its on record.

Complaint: Still an issue within Santander Bank on credit card ending in XXXX that they ( bank ) are reporting to Experian. This are a matter that been in dispute since year XXXX when same account were charged from 2 different Banks, at the time XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX and Santander ( previous XXXX XXXX ) that became reach an amount of {$3100.00}!!!
On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX, a representative of Santander sent a letter that say ( I do write the citation ) " In reviewing this matter, you opened a credit card with XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ), which is an affiliate of XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX ( XXXX ), in XXXX. The servicing of the credit card was transferred from XXXX to Santander in XXXX. As a result, any information on your credit report prior to XXXX would be the responsibility of XXXX and / or XXXX " 1 - I believe XXXX XXXX not aware what she did state, how could you be so affirmative of that when I have a Statement from XXXX XXXX, its the XX/XX/XXXX statement from the Bank, I do have more statements.
2 - I do have the doc 's that XXXX sent Credit Card attached. its all genuine docs from Santander, XXXX XXXX.
3 - I don't know about XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, and SantandeXXXX ( previous XXXX ) are what appear claiming money on Credit Report.
4 - Your letter that state like " Santander wash its hands on this " well, not so fast. do you really think I were so XXXX throw lies to the air without proves? No, I'm not so easy, not at all!!!
5 - XXXX XXXX don't say what you may think would be more easy for you, or I may ask, are you trying divert things without being doing the correct thing?
6 - I do have a original doc dated XXXX, XXXX that state " 3 Payments Past Due ''. This statement are what should be appear on XXXX Credit Report, its the fair Report to do before you come always within the usual stand " The credit card was charged off on XX/XX/XXXX and the debt paid off on XX/XX/XXXX.
What XXXX in perfect mind would paid same account to 2 different Banks? ANY out there?
I did paid when things were clear, I believe so many out there would not care.
Honestly, I care how much this could affect the Bank reputation, I believe I had been sweet until now, BUT, I will always come with more proves if in any moment I felt there lack of interest to solve this ...

Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: Santander Bank refuses to refund {$96.00} yet acknowledges the fraud by cancelling my debit card.
My situation falls into " billing error '' category and fraud category. I got overcharged and received a different item than ordered.
On XX/XX/XXXX I purchased a pair of leather XXXX sandals for a total of USD XXXX through a " XXXX '' website XXXX On XX/XX/XXXX {$96.00} ( XXXX + XXXX intl. fee ) transaction posted on my account that originated in XXXX and was connected to a private hotmail account where the purchase confirmation came from.
Santander should have had an alert in place for charges coming from XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and other countries known for scams so I could refuse it but they failed me as a consumer. My XXXX card blocks such charges immediately if I don't tell them explicitly that I travel or plan to purchase abroad.
Called Santander to report fraud and gave them details. They immediately cancelled my debit card and initiated a refund claim.
I contacted the seller but got no response. Instead, I received cheap fake leather sandals, completely not the ones ordered and not worth {$5.00} let alone {$93.00} and again silence from the scammer seller.
After I e-mailed him that I'd report him as fraud to my bank and an appropriate XXXX entity dealing with imposter " XXXX '' websites, the scammer wrote that the warehouse made a mistake and offered a {$9.00}! refund so " I don't have to pay high shipping charges for sending the shoes back '' even though he shipped the wrong ones. How much scammier than that can it get? ( see the attachment ) When I demanded full refund and told him he would have to pay for shipping the shoes if he wants them back, he stopped responding.
However, since I got a replacement card, even if the scammer was willing to refund me, he can't return the funds to a cancelled card and I'm not going to give him my new debit card info.
Even though I informed Santander about the issues I'm having with the merchant my refund claim was rejected twice. They wrote me to resolve the issue with " the merchant '' being well aware that I was already in contact with him trying to unsuccesfully recover the funds from a fraudster.
Santander claims to protect their customers from scammers but they obviously do not care and do a very poor job letting international charges from XXXX clear. My claim was frivolously and unjustly rejected.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX at around XXXX XXXX, I visited the Santander Bank Branch at XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, NY XXXX and used the ATM machine to make a {$440.00} deposit. I put the money into the ATM but no money was credit to my account. The ATM showed that there's an error and please try later. I immediately contacted the bank clerk at the branch and called their customer service, and they provisionally gave me a {$440.00} provisional credit.
However on XX/XX/XXXX, Santander sent me another letter saying that they've completed the investigation and no errors was found, and they are gon na take the money away from my account again in a few days. I don't know what to do, because it is a large sum of money for me, and I have to seek help from CFPB.

Complaint: About 6 months ago, I requested to close my account at Santander Bank in XXXX, ny XXXX. Until today, it is still open. I have spoke with banker and they claimed it will be closed. I am still getting statements. If my statement were lost, that is a breach of privacy. I am still getting statements and they still have closed my account. I understand that they arent closing my acct so the banker wont lose credit. But this is wrong and unethical.
