Complaint: I was a customer of XXXX XXXX " XXXX '' and had a store credit card.
XXXX XXXX of 2017 I had made a purchase in store of Christmas gifts to give. 3 days later I returned to the store to return the items because they were not something that could be worn by the person I was gifting them to. The employee in XXXX returned my items and failed to credit my account, therefore increasing my debt substantially. I had noticed on my statement that it was not credited and I was paying interest on a dollar amount that was not correct, after sending letters of dispute to the proper parties many failed tries to correct the problem the balance kept growing in fees penalties and interest. My last check into the balance was XXXX dollars, but after the return of items It should have been lower. I had made purchases totaling XXXX and happily was making payments before this problem. I was penalized with fees and interest on a dollar amount nearly double what was actually spent, XXXX failed to help fix this, I had disputed it many times to no success only being told I owed the amount and nothing could be done to help me. Now the account is closed and was sold to a collection agency named Portfolio Recovery

Complaint: I received a leter in the mail from Portfolio Recovery dated XX/XX/XXXX stating that they were seeking payment for an alleged credit card debt from XXXX. I have no recollection of the account. The letter states that the default date was XX/XX/XXXX. The amount of the debt is listed as {$6900.00}. The first page of the letter states, " The legal time limit ( statute of limitations ) for suing you to collect this debt has expired. However, if somebody sues you anyway to try to make you pay this debt, court rules require you to tell the court that the statute of limitations has exprired to prevent the creditor from obtaining a judgment ''. It goes on to say, " Even though the statute of limitations has expired you may choose to make payments ''. The letter then goes on to offer various payment options. This alleged debt has not been verified. This alleged debt is also YEARS beyond the statute of limitations. This company has a long and storied history of unethical business practices and I am seeking to have them cease all future contact with me and all efforts to make collection on this alleged debt. I am an XXXX XXXX XXXX widower on a minimal fixed income. The stress of having a collector write to me asking for thousands of dollars is unnerving and unforgiveable.

Complaint: For the last 3 months I have been sending letters to Portfolio Recovery Associates, XXXX to validate a debt that they claim I owe. Since then they have not furnished all the information to me to prove that the debt belongs to me.I sent off a certified letter to them asking them to validate the letter and they sent letters with little to no information with no information. One letter I received 3 different times from them and it only stated that the company was sold. Since then I've reviewed my credit report and noticed that this company is reporting differently on all 3 bureaus and most of the information is lacking correct information.

1. The XXXX 's agreement states that I have a right to arbitration with the company XXXX. Do you agree that I have the absolute right to arbitration?
2. I have properly notified you that I chose arbitration with the company XXXX through your attorney XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have a signed card that the attorney has received this demand.
I have attached the demand form.
Please note I also sent the notices to Portfolio and XXXX.
I filed and paid the {$150.00} filing fee. However XXXX returned the money as you didn't pay your required fees.
You are legally bound to the contract. I demanded arbitration. You continue to report to the credit reporting agency.
This is breach of contract, violations of fdcp, fcra and Massachusetts 93a laws.
Since you did not arbitrate as required, I demand that you delete all items from the three major credit bureaus.

Complaint: I received several back-to-back phone calls from +1 ( XXXX ) XXXX on XX/XX/2019 beginning at XXXX XXXX. Every call would ring my phone once or twice, but before I could answer, they had ended the call. This was highly inappropriate as I was at work and with customers. After work, I XXXX the number, and discovered it was Portfolio Recovery Associates. A debt collector. I do not owe any debt nor do I have any dealings with this company at all. I guess they think its amusing to repeatedly prank call my phone at least five times within a ten minute period.

Complaint: I am being robo-call harassed daily by a collection company called Porfolio Recovery Associates. They are calling in an attempt to collect on an old debt long past the Statute Of Limitations. They are trying to trick and bully me into making a payment to reset the SOL clock. I have repeatedly told them that they do not have my permission to call my phone. I have ask them to stop calling me and to take my number out of their robo-call system. They have ignored my requests and continue with the unwanted robocall. I would like to sue Porfolio Recovery Associates in a court of law for {$1500.00} per robocall and am now keeping a log of their continued harassment. These near constant robocall are causing me mental and physical stress.

Complaint: As of XX/XX/2019 : Portfolio Recovery Associates, LLC continues to refuse to provide me proof of signature, proving that I have a line of credit with their company. I do not and they do not have proof of signature of any contract of a line of credit with them. Furthermore, the two companies they are claiming they have bought debt and that I owe them money, XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX, Both companies, XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX also do not have proof of a signed contract between me and them. NO ONE has proof of a phone call/application being made, video surveillance of an application being made, proof of my legal signature. They don't even have my legal name, the way I apply for and sign all documents : XXXX XXXX XXXX.
I have been going round-and-round with Portfolio, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX and XXXX for over a year while fighting XXXX. I do not own these accounts. I never opened these accounts. Under the law, I have the right to sue for {$1000.00} for defamation of character for each offense. That is indeed my next step if ALL COMPANIES do not immediately remove these accounts from ALL credit reports and send me a letter of apology, removal and a check for {$1000.00} per report. FCRA 623 and FCRA 609 I am grouping all of this together. I want XXXX removed. I want XXXX removed. I want all Portfolio Accounts removed. FROM ALL CREDIT REPORTS. I willing to now follow through with law suit and my request for financial payment if they simply close and REMOVE all accounts IMMEDIATELY.
