Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX. Portfolio Recovery Associates started recording on my credit report two accounts. I paid one to get it off my credit and then started wondering if these were actual amounts due. I wanted proof of ownership from Portfolio recovery and I was told they do not have those documents. I wanted a application showing that I acknowledged any terms from XXXX XXXX. They could not supply me with any documents and informed me that they do not have these documents. I was told by XXXX XXXX on a recorded line that there was a charge from XXXX XXXX that they maybe can get a contract from XXXX XXXX to prove that I acknowledged an application. I'm quite skeptical as they can not supply me with anything besides a statement for either account. I also requested documentation as I believe I could have been part of a previous complaint issued regarding tactics that threatened me with attorneys. They can not supply me with any letters that were previously sent to me but only the letter showing that i paid the previous debt on ONE of the accounts they currently list on my credit. I would like answers as they keep telling me they will put in a request but inform me they have no idea what the turn around time would be on obtaining any documents.

Information provided to PRA by XXXX XXXX XXXX at the time of our purchase verify that the account was opened on XX/XX/XXXX by XXXX XXXX whose social security number ends in XXXX, the account became delinquent on or about XX/XX/XXXX and that a balance of {$1200.00} was on the account at the time of PRAs purchase.
Portfolio Recovery Associates, LLC ( " PRA '' ) purchased the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX account ending in XXXXfrom XXXX XXXX XXXX on or about XX/XX/XXXX.
Information provided to PRA by XXXX XXXX XXXX at the time of our purchase verify that the account was opened on XX/XX/XXXX by XXXX XXXX whose social security number ends in XXXX, the account became delinquent on or aboutXX/XX/XXXX and that a balance of {$730.00} was on the account at the time of PRAs purchase.
Please can you look into this and obtain documents from this company as they can not supply me with any information requested.

Complaint: I have received calls in the past and each time ask them verbally to not contact me via phone. I have recently received 3 phones calls in the past two months. Each time I have informed them to not contact me again. Today the lady was rude and wanted to argue with me in regards to the law of a verbal cease order. She told me that each time I have asked them to quit calling that they have noted the account? Somehow they didnt stop because I am still receiving calls. I informed her that I was filing a complaint this time because they are repeatedly ignoring my requests to not contact me via phone. The company is Portfolio Recovery and the number that contacted me today was XXXX.

Complaint: portfolio recovery associates keeps calling me in regards to a fraudulant account. I sent them a certified letter stating that this account does not belong to me and that I have no account or contract with them. they threatening to take monies out of my bank account. they went into my credit file and got my banking account number and threatening me that they would deduct monies from my account. this is surely against the FCRA laws. I sent the credit bureaus certified letters as well, telling them these fraudulant accounts do not belong to me and they said that these accounts were verified and i ask them to send me proof and they did not send me anything. they are going by some collection company who purchase these fraudulant accounts from the credit bureaus.

Complaint: portfolio recovery assiciates llc sent me a letter saying that i have an account with them and that they are going to take monies out of my account for this debt. I told them that these debt does not belong to me and stop calling me about it. I ask them to send me proof that i have a contract with them, show me where i sign any contract with this collection companies, the only thing they sent me was an bill stating that i owe them. this is just a bill they bought from the credit bureaus saying that i owe them. I also contacted the credit bureaus in regards to this fraudulant account and they said it was verified, I ask them to send me any documents they have on this fraudulant account, that verifies this. the credit bureaus have not sent me any kind of documents. how can the credit bureaus put anything on my file without having documents to verify. they are so crooked, with so many data breaches on these credit bureaus, they should look into this.

Complaint: As of XX/XX/XXXX a negative impact has been reported on my credit report. I have contacted XXXX XXXX to dispute this account and have removed from my credit report however the response was that it was accurate. I am reaching out to whoever can help me investigate this account. As of XXXX of XXXX freedom debt relief took this account as an agreement with me to pay them a monthly fee to negotiate a payment plan with the account that is listed as a collection on my credit report, synchrony bank through portfolio recovery A. This is XXXX XXXX XXXX account since XX/XX/XXXX, this account has been negotiated and settled and payment plans agreed. It continues to show a negative mark on my credit report I am asking that it gets removed as a collection mark on my credit report. Can someone help me? I have went beyond my agreement with XXXX and they continue to drag out my account.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2019, I sent two separate certified letters to Portfolio Recovery about two separate accounts # XXXX claiming I owe {$1000.00} and # XXXXclaiming I owe {$1000.00}. I asked that they verify that I owe for the two accounts by sending me a contract bearing my signature. Instead they sent me printouts, nothing bearing my signature. Also they responded referring to one account # XXXX. claiming I owe {$1000.00} where credit report says otherwise. Also they inserted that it is being disputed and customer disagrees. I was not notified about the account # XXXX claiming I owe {$1000.00} within the 30 day period of my dispute. Which cause Portfolio Recovery to be in violation of the FDCPA and FCRA. Portfolio is also in violation of the FCRA and FDCPA for not providing me proof of contract bearing my signature within the 30 day period. Therefore, Portfolio has violated the FCRA and FDCPA on both accounts # XXXX claiming I owe {$1000.00} and XXXX claiming I owe {$1000.00}.
