Complaint: The Pentagon Federal Credit Union has deliberately " re-aged '' XXXX of my old credit accounts and illegally changed the Date of First Delinquency to a later date causing the negative credit listing to remain on my credit report longer than allowed by federal law. I submitted a dispute to the Credit Union where I provided undeniable evidence that the Delinquency was more than XXXX years old and should have therefore been deleted from my credit file, according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). The evidence particularly included Credit Union 's own prior letters in which they clearly indicated that the Delinquency occurred more than 7 years ago. Nevertheless, the Pentagon Federal Credit Union completely ignored such evidence and maintained that their records and information they report to credit agencies are correct. The Credit Union has also refused to change the information on my credit report. The continuous reporting of the incorrect information unduly damages my credit file and prevents me to refinance and obtain business credits, causing monetary losses and distress for me, my family and my business.

Complaint: The creditor Pentagon Federal Credit Union ( aka PenFed ) continues to incorrectly report an account ( XXXX ) on XXXX of my credit bureau reports ( XXXX and XXXX ), even after multiple disputes to have them correct this for the last two years. This closed account is from a former automotive loan. The vehicle was repossessed in XXXX XXXX and went into charge-off status in XXXX XXXX. Further, the date of first deliquency was in XXXX XXXX, and is now or will be 7 years of age shortly, and should be removed from my credit bureau reports already, if not soon. Over the last two years, I have spoken with several individuals at PenFed, including a supervisor, XXXX XXXX. Each time they agree that it is reporting incorrectly, and each have stated they would get it corrected. XXXX XXXX has not responded to my calls nor voice mails for weeks now. Details : XXXX : I previously disputed this more than 2 years ago, and PenFed did not respond to my dispute, so it was deleted. Then, as of XXXX, it was reinserted, but instead of being closed with negative information it is now reporting " Open '' and " Pays account as agreed '' and shows no former negative account activity. Neither XXXX nor the creditor notified me of this reinsertion per the FCRA law ( which states they have 5 days to do such ). As of XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I 've disputed this with XXXX based on that law, and XXXX has opened another investigation. I 've attached XX/XX/XXXX reports direct from XXXX and also from XXXX showing that this account was not listed under my XXXX XXXX, as well as a XX/XX/XXXX report from XXXX showing it has been reinserted under XXXX. XXXX : I 've attached a XXXX XXXX report from XXXX showing the account is " Open '', was late in XXXX XXXX, a repo in XXXX XXXX, and a CO ( charge-off ) in XXXX XXXX. You 'll see on the same report that PenFed changed the dates on the CO to XXXX XXXX, then to XXXX XXXX, yet reporting " OK '' many times over the years. This XXXX XXXX report shows " By XXXX XXXX, this account is scheduled to go to a positive status ''. I 've also attached a XXXX XXXX report showing the payment history as completely different than the XXXX XXXX report. It shows COs of XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX, which do not match the same COs from the XXXX XXXX report, nor does it show the CO from XXXX XXXX, nor any of the XXXX account data as just discussed from the XXXX XXXX report. Each time an " OK '' or " CO '' is reported it changes the active status of the account and moves the date of positive status or deletion in the credit file to an additional plus approx. 7 years. This XXXX XXXX report shows " This account is scheduled to continue on record until XXXX XXXX '', also different. XXXX : On my XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX report, you 'll see this account is listed in my XXXX data. However, you 'll see in my XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX report showing this account was deleted ( see the bottom of page XXXX of the report ). You 'll also see that it has not showed back up in my XXXX XXXX report. I 've also attached a XXXX XXXX report showing the same XXXX and early XXXX proper account history data, which compares correctly to the XXXX XXXX XXXX report. Summary : - XXXX : The data should only show that this account is closed and a charge-off, that it went 30 days late in XXXX XXXX, an " R '' ( repossession ) in XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XXXX XXXX, and then a CO ( Charge-Off ) in XXXX XXXX. It will be 7 years from date of first deliquency as of next month, and should be fully removed no later than then, if not already, just like it has already been removed from my XXXX data. - XXXX : Per the FCRA law, this account was reinserted into my XXXX data without proper notification to me, and should be promptly removed. - XXXX : This account was already removed from my XXXX data, so no further action there needs to be done.

Billing disputes

Credit card:

Complaint: I cancelled my service with XXXX yet was still charged for it on my Pennfed Credit card. I called XXXX XXXX radio and was promised a refund, but never received it. I then disputed it with Pennfed. I both emailed back and forth with customer service and mailed the form. However, they claim it was never received and would not help me resolve the matter. In this day and age it is absurd that only snail mail is accepted, but that is another issue. I did my part and should have received the protection from Pennfed regarding my dispute. I had a credit line of XXXX. I never paid late. I am/was a great, reliable, trustworthy member. And I was treated with disrespect and offered no recourse for the bogus charge. So, I choose not to pay it was not authorized by me. Now Pennfed has charged fees, on top of fees and reported the negative account on my credit reports as expected. However, I am asking for your assistance in resolving this matter as I do not owe them anything. They should have disputed the charge on my behalf as indicated on my statements.

Complaint: I have been a member of Pentagon Federal Credit Union ( PENFED ) since 1999. During my tenure at the Penfed, I have often been offered many products and services ( i.e. Credit Cards ) ; but, each time I have applied I have been denied. As time went on, I began to notice a pattern and came to suspect blatant discrimination and began to challenge their quick denials. Four times I was turned down for a mere personal loan of XXXX before finally being approved after having to provide a number of documents, complain to the board, and speaking to high level managers. The loan was PAID IN FULL on time and early. Yet, when I asked for an additional loan, I was promptly denied. Yet, I began noticing how they would cater to the Latinos and Hispanics who were n't even born in this country, yet were able to get loans and anything else. Recently, I have also been noticing that PenFed is now starting to advertise : 'Great Rates for Everyone '. Yet, if this be true, then why do I continue to be denied products and services? Most recently, I was denied a car loan having been told : 'You have never had a loan like this before. ' What? Presumably, they were referring to an installment loan whereby, I had one from PenFed and a Student Loan. Prior to this, I was denied the {$500.00} Credit Protection on my Checking Account and then scolded when my account was depleted. If that were n't enough at one point, they serendipitously removed funds from my Savings into the Checking account in an futile attempt to bring the account current. I needed to stop a payment on a check whereby I was charged a fee. Unbeknownst to me, this fee could have been avoided if I had initiated the stop payment online. I was n't made aware of this until I called and was attempting to stop payment on another check. Much to my chagrin, I was not at all pleased. Truth is, I have been extremely unhappy and frustrated with PenFed for quite awhile because it is my firm belief and despite their denials, that I have been discriminated against and continues to this day. In terms of the car loan, I was expecting to take advantage of the low rates offered by Credit Unjons. Yet, as previously mentioned, I was denied. I did receive a car loan for the XXXX I had requested from PenFed ; but, at a much higher interest rate than is necessary. I also recently received a new XXXX Card. Hence, why am I not able to take advantage of all the products and services that as a member of this Credit Union offers? At this time, I am looking to refinance my vehicle ; but, extremely apprehensive about even applying due solely in part to the continued maltreatment. It is extremely frustrating to be a member of a Credit Union only to seek products and services outside of the CU in order to prove my credit worthiness before you will even consider taking a chance on me. That in itself is blatant discrimination because I have been told in the past that it is best that I find another creditor to take a chance before we do. Also, it is annoying to constantly hear how conservative they are. This fact is abundantly clear. It should be known that I initially took my concerns to NCUA whereby I have been referred to this agency for further assistance.

Consumer Loan: Vehicle loan

Complaint: Pentagon Federal Credit Union ( PenFed ), a creditor named in my XXXX XXXX Bankruptcy petition on XXXX ( secured by car title ), is reporting inaccurate information to the national credit bureaus. In doing so, PenFed is violating the U.S. Bankruptcy Act, and 7-year reporting limit of the Fair Credit Reporting Act by willfully misrepresenting facts, refusing to correct errors, and using the credit bureau reports as a collection tactic in a manner that is contrary to these regulatory statutes. Pentagon Federal Credit Union Acct. # 1 : The last payment made on this account was prior to filing bankruptcy in XXXX XXXX, when the account was also closed. However, the initial date of delinquency was in XXXX. While I have no knowledge of any activity on the account after XXXX XXXX, PenFed has reported a " last payment date '' in XXXX XXXX. My XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX reports show an estimated removal date of XXXX XXXX ; then the XXXX XXXX XXXX report shows an estimated removal of XXXX XXXX ; but XXXX is now telling me this derogatory account will remain on record until XXXX XXXX. Again, my last activity on this account was in XXXX XXXX. I have contacted PenFed, XXXX, and XXXX regarding this mysterious " last payment date '' but none will correct the date or remove the account. In a conversation on XXXX XXXX, XXXX with XXXX XXXX XXXX, a supervisor at the XXXX U.S. Consumer Relations Center, XXXX XXXX said his company would not remove this derogatory account until XXXX XXXX because PenFed has reported XXXX XXXX as the " last payment date ''. This confirmed in a subsequent call with XXXX XXXX XXXX at XXXX Consumer Relations ' on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires derogatory accounts be removed 7 years from the initial late payment date, which preceded XXXX XXXX. The fictitious " last payment date '' of XXXX XXXX that PenFed arbitrarily created and refuses to remove has extended the length of this record to almost 9 years. Pentagon Federal Credit Union Acct. # 2 : A reaffirmation agreement was signed during the pending bankruptcy for the above described car loan, with a first payment date of XXXX XXXX, XXXX. Although I made multiple calls to PenFed requesting an account number and billing statement for the new loan, I was always told it was in process of being set-up. Without an account number or bill, no payments were made. In XXXX XXXX, PenFed sent the title to the car ( securitizing the loan ), along with a letter stating the account was paid in full and closed. The reaffirmation agreement was subsequently cancelled ( rescinded ) by notice to the court and creditor, and accepted by the court XXXX years before the bankruptcy was discharged. Many years later, I saw that PenFed had reported to the credit bureaus that a secured account was opened in XXXX XXXX, with an initial timely payment made followed by 2 consecutive months of delinquencies, and no other entries. PenFed is now reporting to the credit bureaus that the account remains open with an outstanding balance of {$10000.00}. This account should be removed from the credit bureaus because I had no knowledge of the account 's existence or activities ; the reaffirmation agreement was rescinded in proceedings of the U.S. Bankruptcy court in a timely and legal manner ; and the attached letter from PenFed shows the loan was Paid in Full and closed, with the underlying security interest ( lien on title to car ) released to me. Note : the account number shown on PenFed 's letter is my credit union member number, and account numbers on the credit reports are suffices thereof.
