Complaint: I am writing to request assistance in handling an important matter with Pentagon Federal Credit Union ( PFCU ) .In 2010, I received I received a letter that I had maxed out on a line of credit with this financial institution. This was the first I had heard of any sort of line of credit with PFCU. I mad inquiries to discover that there was in fact a loan that listed jointly in my name and my ex-wife 's name. I had no knowledge of such loan. When I asked for loan documents where I surely would have been required to sign, I was told that the loan was overdraft protection linked to my checking account. I then asked for documentation to indicate that I had requested such overdraft protection. Thus far, I have received a promissory note with no signature and documents for the checking account with no indication that a line of credit was attached. I asked that the line of credit be closed immediately. When I pointed this out to PFCU, I was told that notices were sent out whenever the line of credit was used. I requested copies of these " notices '' but that request was not fulfilled and I never saw these notices. After making several payments on the loan when I was still married, I discovered that the balance was much the same as it was when it was maxed out. I called to inquire and was told that the line of credit was never closed. I again requested that it be closed. Months later, I experienced the exact same issue. How is one supposed to protect thier money and financial interests with PFCU when such a loan existed without signature? The continued response I received was, " you 're liable and payments must still be continue to be made. '' Futher, I have paid of XXXX vehicles with PFCU and they are holding the titles of those cars against this loan that is completely isolated. I am arguing to be removed from this line of credit as PFCU has misused my membership. 1. ) I never signed for this loan and the signature block of the promissory note is PFCU provided is blank. 2. ) There is nothing on my checking account application or check card application to indicate I had knowledge that a line of credit was linked as overdraft protection. There is a line which states " XXXX as applicable, '' however, how is any customer to know what " XXXX '' stands for and why would it matter to a customer if they know no such thing is applicable as they must have knowledge of it. 3. XXXX vehicle car titles/ are being held despite loans being satisfied over a year ago.

Complaint: During closing it was discovered that the lender has miscalculated the transfer tax of the property that I was purchasing. A phone call was made to the title company ( at the closing table ) to get the problem resolved. The title company contacted the lender, got the new transfer tax approved and sent us the new Final Closing Disclosure which was signed and notarized at the closing table. As a result of this change the final disclosure that we were sent and I signed showed that I was supposed to receive approximately {$2100.00} back from the title company as a refund of what I had wired to them for closing. I contacted the title company later that afternoon to give them information to rewire me the funds and they indicated that they had already sent me a check in the mail for {$55.00} which was what they owed me. I was told I had to then contact the lender to find out why my refund had been so drastically reduced. After several days on the phone with several different people at the lender, most of which would never answer or call me back, I discovered that the document we signed at closing and had to be approved by the lender was not what they say they sent to the title company as the Final Closing Disclosure. The only time I got to see the Final Closing Disclosure the lender says they approved was after it was emailed to me after being on the phone with the closer from the lender for several hours and him not understand my complaint. No one else, the notary, either realtor, myself, had seen the closing disclosure the lender says they sent until the end of the day of closing when I got it emailed to me as described earlier. Neither the lender or the title company currently is helping me out or finding someone at either business who can help me out. However I believe the money that is owed to me is the difference between my wire transfer to the title company for closing and the " Cash to close '' that was listed on the Final Closing Disclosure that WE SIGNED AT CLOSING AND WAS NOTARIZED AS SUCH. The lender says the lender credit due to me had been reduced because of the reduction in the tranfer tax which is why the cash to close went up on the version they say they approved. The pictures attached show the XXXX and XXXX pages of the final closing disclosure of the XXXX the lender approved ( higher cash to close and lower lender credit ) vs. the one that we signed at closing ( lower cash to close and higher lender credit )

Complaint: I have an auto loan with PenFed that they refinanced for me in XXXX. The loan was refinanced from XXXX XXXX and I have now received a letter stating that PenFed has raised my interest rate from XXXX to 14 % since XXXX did not release the title to them. My husband has contacted XXXX numerous times as the title was in his name and they have stated they have released the title to them. My husband also contacted PenFed about the issue in XXXX and they stated this was an error and my husband even opened a checking account with PenFed the same day. This is a fixed rate loan that should never should have been raised and PenFed before releasing a check to XXXX for the payoff of the vehicle should have obtained a copy of the title before doing so. I can not get them something I do not have and will not be held at fault. This is completely unethical. I am very saddened as PenFed has always been a good company to me but this is the worst financial injustice I have ever encountered in my life.

Complaint: PenFed wo n't let me do anything with my account. I have {$30.00} in my account. PenFed wo n't allow me to update my address even though I mailed them proof of address and proof of identity. They asked me to call and verify the information on the phone and I did call in, but it still is not updated. PenFed will not allow me open a checking account with them. PenFed will not allow me to initiate a transfer out of my account. Basically they are holding my money hostage and I have no access to is.
