Complaint: I obtained a loan from Springleaf Financial 's ( now OneMain ) branch in XXXX, Pennsylvania. At the time the loan was made, I provided the lender with a routing number and checking account number from which to withdraw the monthly payment. I recently changed banks. Well before XX/XX/XXXX 's scheduled withdrawal, I logged into OneMain 's website and submitted a new routine number and account number corresponding to the new checking account. I have since logged back into the website to verify that the new account information ( XXXX ) is displayed as the payment account. Nevertheless, OneMain has made 2 attempts in XXXX to withdraw the payments from the old account at XXXX. XXXX refused to honor both drafts, and charged me {$35.00} for each dishonored draft. Calls to both the OneMain branch and web support center did not provide an explanation for the unauthorized drafts against the old account.

Complaint: Accidentally paid off loan twice I thought. One main financial would n't talk to me for a year and a half until i had the XXXX Attorney generals office contact them. They finally contacted me after they contacted them regarding this matter. In talking to them and verifying payment. I found they received the certified check and cashed it. But they did not receive or cash the check from Home title company. So now One Main Financial has not reported to the local county that the loan was satisfied or the credit bureau. Also Home title will not release the funds until One Main Financial does so. So the title company have held onto my money for almost two years now without notifying me and no indication of when they will release it even though i provided proof that the loan had been paid in the form of a certified check. Also One Main Financial has not provided proof to the title company, the county that the house was sold, or the credit bureau.

Complaint: One Main Financial is reporting with XXXX that I was 30 days past due. The same month they reported to XXXX that I was paying as agreed. I was not paying this account and did not pay this account late in the month that they said. I have statements showing that there was no past due amount. Also, they kept saying that I had other fees that never showed up on my statement. I keep paying on the account but did not know what I was paying for. They finally waived the NSF fees that stated that I owed, but at the same time, they reported that I was 30 days past due. This is wrong and a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

The interest rate on this loan is 25 % apr. I do n't understand how I paid XXXX dollars and only XXXX went to principal. Complaint: It became necessary for me to accept a loan modification agreement to ease the financial burden placed upon me. I asked for the complete documentation so I could look over the details. I was told by One Main Financial representative that no other documents existed and that it would remove the late payment history from my credit report. I was also told that there would be no extra charges for doing this. I continued to ask for paperwork which I was told did n't exist. I was told that I only needed to worry about the one piece of paper, which only included new interest rate, length of new terms, and total to be paid back. Now on my last statement is a remark of an extra charge of almost XXXX that will be added at the ending date of the loan. None of this was divulged to me before signing the agreement. Now they say they are going to mail me the full agreement. It seems to have magically appeared with the company but I have never seen it. The representative that did the loan modification does not work there any longer and all I have gotten as an answer is " we are sorry and you will see when we mail you the documents. '' Also the original loan is still showing on my credit report as late. I was told by their representative that this modification would bring my account to current status and my credit report would reflect this. So far this is not true. I have been lied to, pressured into signing the loan modification agreement before they revealed all details of the agreement. And now they want to reveal documentation that I knew existed but was told by many reps of the company several times before and after signing that did n't exist. I was rushed and pressured into this agreement and assured the whole agreement was on 1 piece of paper. Just sign, and return with a check. I did what they asked but they never divulged the full agreement. Only a cover page with basic terms ... ..nothing said about add-ons at a later date or ever. Now they say they have both agreements and will send them out to me and they are sorry that this has happened. This apology does not excuse their practices, nor does terminating a representative or having a representative quit. It was the rush, pressure, and misinformation from this representative that the company is responsible for. How would you feel if you bought a new car and found out on your 5th payment you were going to be charged extra for the tires that were on it????
