Complaint: Around XX/XX/2013 I refinanced a loan with this company and surrendered my truck title as collateral. We set up auto draft so this company would always receive their payment on time. After paying off the loan I waited and waited but never received my truck title, finally I called this company only to be told they had mailed my title. I waited and waited again, 6 months had passed at this time and I started calling again only to be told they had just mailed it out. Again I have waited, called, left messages until I have given up and tried to apply for a replacement title only to find out this company is still showing my truck title with a lien against it, 2 years after it was paid off. I went by a local branch of this company and found out my title ad never been mailed, that it was sent to another branch over 400 miles away. Still I can not apply for a replacement title because this company is holding it hostage. I have checked all of my credit reports and it shows the account paid in full and closed, but I still have no title.

Complaint: XXXX XXXX established a loan with One Main Financial. Due to personal circumstances including the finalizing of a divorce, he became behind on payments. In the winter of XX/XX/XXXX, he was offered a settlement amount of {$1300.00} which was pain in XX/XX/XXXX. A letter, which unfortunately was lost in changing housing situations, was received documenting the account as paid in full. No further communication or efforts to collect the debt were received from OneMain Financial until XX/XX/XXXX. After repeated phone calls without messages - sufficient enough to disrupt his work day - XXXX spoke to a representative who then stated XXXX was months behind on payments. The representative failed to identify himself appropriately. When XXXX disputed the information verbally, he was advised that payment needed to be made or further debt collection practices would occur.

Complaint: I took out a loan with OneMain following the birth of my daughter, back in XX/XX/2016. I was out of work and incurred a great deal of medical expenses that added up on top of regular bills, and needed some help. I was thankful to receive a {$1500.00} loan from OneMain to get me back on track. It had been my intention to repay the loan within a few months, but life of course intervened, as it does so often, and I was making the minimum or just above minimum payments. I hit another bump in the road following some health scares, and rather than putting the loan in forbearance, OneMain offered to extend my loan and disburse additional funds. I signed some paperwork, including something involving obtaining life insurance and loan insurance. and was on my way. Things were going well for several months. I was making payments as agreed and had no complaints about the staff at the branch I regularly worked with. Again, life tossed a curveball and I was unable to make the payments as agreed. I spoke with a branch employee who was very empathetic to my situation and said she'd note in my account that I'd be making a payment as soon as I could. A week later, I received a call from the branch manager, " XXXX ''. He asked why I hadn't made a payment, and I informed him of the same thing I'd told an employee the previous week. He became extremely aggressive, and told me that I needed to come to the branch and " rewrite '' the loan. I told him that I was not interested in doing that, and could make a payment on my next pay day. He told me that that would not be possible, that he needed to " close out the month '' in his branch and that I was preventing him from doing so. He insisted that I come in, refinance, and perhaps take out a few extra XXXX dollars to get caught up on other things. I reiterated that I was not interested in doing this, and that I would be making a payment when I was able. He said that my credit will be ruined, that I'm going back on my end of the deal, and that he could not accept anything that I was saying. He wanted my checking account information to set up a payment. I told him that I did not want to provide that when I didn't have the money in the account to process it. This back and forth went on for close to 15 minutes. I finally had reached my boiling point and told him that I felt that his behavior was unacceptable, that he was trying to strong-arm me into setting up a payment that I could not make, and that he was terribly rude. He continued to argue with me. I informed him that I would be making a payment online within the next 2 weeks and I ended the call. To my surprise, he called back several days later, asking me to make a payment. I told him that I couldn't believe he had the audacity to do this considering the nature of our last conversation. I said that i would be making a payment online, and he hung up on me. I made a payment in the amount of {$200.00} online, as I said I would. For reasons that are unclear to me, this payment was not and still hasn't been reflected in my online account. I've read other complaints regarding OneMain not updating online accounts to reflect recent payments.

Complaint: I have a personal loan with One Main Financial. My probelm is repeated phone calls and mail about my account. i have attempted to clarify the terms of my loan to no avail. My due date is the XX/XX/XXXX of the month, my grace period before late charges kick in is 10 days. While my payday is the XX/XX/XXXX usually, I don't mail my payment until that date. which allows 6 days for the payment to reach them. My problem is I begin receiving phone call and mail correspondence the day after my due date of the XX/XX/XXXX. Currently on my phone I have saved over 40 phone calls in 60 days and 28 pieces of mail in just over 30 days. All this is going on while I am traveling everyday to take my wife to XXXX XXXX. My question is do I have any options legally in this matter..

My credit report did not reflect any adverse credit information. So, I wrote to ONE MAIN and requested that they provide me with a letter stating why I was denied a loan. Pursuant to Title 15, Sec.1693 ONE MAIN had a duty to answer me within thirty ( 30 ) days. ONE MAIN failed to state to me in writing a legitimate reason for turning me down for a loan. ONE MAIN is liable for damages under Titile 15, Sec. 1691 ( e ), & ( a ).

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I became unemployed. At that time I called One Main/Spring Leaf, the local office ( XXXX & XXXX ) to inform them of the unemployed status. I explained to them I would not be able to make the monthly payment due to my current status. At that time I gave the local office my unemployment papers I asked them if I could get on a hardship program, have my monthly payments reduced, apply for a out-of-work program plan, or have my account put on hold until my change of status. With no prevail, I was not able to come to any common ground with the local office. They were no help and XXXX was very rude! I then asked for the Executive Office at One Main/Spring Leaf, which I spoke to on many occasion going forward. The EO explained, in order to provide Any assistance they would have to run a Hard credit report, which I did not agree and could not understand the logic behind that process. Since then, the policy/process has changed and now they have to run a Soft credit report, per the EO, to provide Any assistance. Again, I did not agree and could not understand the logic behind That process. XXXX at the EO spoke with the Legal, and yet, they still could not provide a logical reason behind running ANY credit report on a consumer when Not offering any, and ( or ) more money, or issuing further credit. I explained them, yet again, I am Unemployed with no other income, and Such Status should override any credit report, regardless what is listed. Which does not matter when a person is Unemployed. As of to date ( XX/XX/XXXX ), One Main/Spring Leaf EO has not provided a logical explanation of why they choose to ruin a consumer 's credit by running unnecessary reports, which does not apply to MY current situation, or one thereof. One Main/Spring Leaf has since add multiple fees ( late charges etc. ) to my account which also Do Not Help my situation. Unfortunately, I have gotten No Where with either office, and have been Desperately been trying to communicate, discuss, and ( or ) resolve my serious issue since XX/XX/XXXX. Bottom line, One Main/Spring Leaf has no intentions on helping me or their consumer that faces unemployment situations. Their lending process is not conducive to special types of situations, and that information should be provided, prior to signing a contract or applying and receiving loans, to a consumer.

Complaint: For the first time since the age of XXXX, I have found myself without a job. As I am now in the middle of a wrongful termination suit that has gained the attention of many LGBT organizations, I am doing my best to maintain my bills and keep a roof over my head. I have remained communicative with One Main Financial regarding the status of my fianancial situation and they have been more than accomodating. However, today, I received a threatening phone call from the gentleman that originally set me up with my loan. He got extremely defensive and LOUD!!!! To the point he was yelling and would not allow me to state my case. I told him that I am currently without income and have XXXX cents to my name. At this point, he stated, " do you not remember the contract? Whaty are you going to do? You said you would make a payment every 30 days? What are you going to do? '' I told him that I have no clue what I am going to do as I am personally at a loss at this point. He stated that he will just continue to call me every single day until I make a payment. '' I stated that I will file a claim for harassment if he wants to continue with the threatening tone and continually berate me to the point I am feeling scared for my safety because he has my address. He then states that I need to get up and get a job and take care of my business like someone responsible. He told me that I can file a claim against him for harassment, but I can't do anything because I signed a contract. At the point of tears I did say " well listen sweet heart! '' This really set him off. He starts yelling even louder to the point he finally just hangs up on me. I am still shaken by this conversation and feel thereatened and afraid for my safety.

Complaint: I am writing to file a complaint against OneMain Financial and its subsidiary, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. When I obtained a loan from OneMain, I also purchased their XXXX insurance. Up until my second XXXX XXXX, my loan was paid ahead. The trouble started when I filed a claim on the XXXX insurance. What would seem like an easy straight forward matter, has turned into unending paperwork. My initial claim included the attached documents from the Social Security Administration as well as my XXXX. Both of these documents indicate that I am XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX has been very slow in paying on my insurance claim due to their continual request for documentation and their confusion with how the paper work was documented as well as lost faxes from my Drs office. ( the Drs office had confirmation from the receiving fax machine that the fax in fact went through ). Because XXXX XXXX and or One Main has dragged their feet and requested the same information so many times, the payments to the account have become past due for the past several months, even though I have given them the information they have requested in a timely manner. All of this has severely effected my credit report in a negative way, dropping my credit score dramatically. I was under the assumption that once the paperwork from my XXXX and myself was finally submitted to their satisfaction, XXXX XXXX would either completely pay the loan in whole or make regular monthly payments to satisfy the loan. XXXX XXXX now wants myself and my XXXX to completely resubmit the paperwork on a monthly basis in order to continue the claim. The information on the form these companies want filled out has not changed and will not ever change. My complaint and question is, Why? The Social Security Administration says I am XXXX XXXX. My XXXX on the XXXX XXXX form says I am XXXX XXXX. I also have a Parking Tag from the DMV indicating I am XXXX XXXX. I am never returning to work. Yes, I see my XXXX for scheduled appointments, but why do I need to waste the Dr and staffs time filling out the same paperwork. One of the reasons for my XXXX XXXX XXXX was Stress. I consider this redundant paperwork undue and is causing me unneeded stress. I do not want to have another XXXX XXXX because of all this.
