Complaint: I have been back in school since XXXX of XXXX. I transfered schools from XXXX XXXX XXXX to XXXX University for XXXX in XXXX of XXXX. I have called the school and asked that they update my status as a XXXX XXXX XXXX and they stated that they did several times already. I have call Navient several time to let them know that I am in school and that I shouldn't have to make my monthly payments. I was told in XXXX or XXXX that in order to get my account up to date I had to pay the past due amount which was around two- three hundred dollars. When I told him I couldn't pay that he said that was the only way to get my account current, unless I do a forboance. I reluctently agreed because I didn't want my credit damaged any further by having my student loan payments showing late. As of today I am in grace peroid but I have captialized intrerst on my account for XXXX and XXXX because I was all but forced to take a forboance to get my account up to date.

Complaint: What is happening with this loan is the interest rates are crazy. It's like they set students up by lending them this loan and then they are stuck paying interest only forever. I pay about 300 each month and it just goes to interest only.

Complaint: To whom it may concern, I would like to make a complaint against Navient. I've had an on going problem with Navient for several years with harassment and continued threatening phone calls at work, home and on my cell phone, I asked Navient not to call me a work, on several occasions. I am getting a least 25 phone calls per week from Navient, which I have recorded or saved, as of XX/XX/2019 I received calls form Navient at my job, too many times, calls from a XXXX, XXXX several others, from these numbers of XXXX, also from this number of XXXX. My job records all incoming calls and Navient is trying to get me fired from my job. I ask Navient several times to stop calling me on my job, Navient response is always the same, there's no note on your file, saying Do Not Call Job. I also given Navient the address and contact information of both Mr. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, DC XXXX phone number XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, GA XXXX, phone number XXXX whom both are Employed and can pay their student loans. Navient has destroyed my Credit, I had a credit score of almost 800, before Navient intentionally forced a default on this loan. I am Request to be released as Co-Singer on both loans for XXXX XXXX XXXX- File # XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX -File # XXXX Case # XXXX. Navient Please contact both bowers, you have their information. CFPB what are my recourses, if I end up losing my Job because of Navient, I have many on going Health issues, and the Harassment from Navient is causing more Health issue and harm for me. Complaint: I was rendered XXXX after I graduated college in 2010. I was struggling to pay my loans due to not being able to work and over XXXX of medical bills. I reached out to Navient explained my XXXX ( diagnosed by a Dr. and a XXXX ) and my inability to work due to this XXXX for the foreseeable future. I asked for options and was told forbearance was my only option. This misinformation has led to huge interest accumulation, has dropped my credit significantly and is now in default. Im scared to even deal with them again because I am not savvy enough to know if I'm getting the right information that will help me or worsen my situation. Please, any information that could help me would be greatly appreciated.

Complaint: Dear Consumer Financial I was advised to write to your establishment in regards to my experience with my student loan company Navient. I recently read a news article concerning the unfair business practices Navient has been providing to there customers. I am one of the customers that has been effected by this. When I attended XXXX XXXX my loan company was Sally Mae after graduating I was not placed in a job or provided assistance with job search or job placement as advertized and promised to me by XXXX XXXX. Shortly after I graduated the company that I was working for ( XXXX ) closed down leaving me Unemployed. I called Sally Mae and they placed my loans in Hardship. I have Continuously applied to jobs related to my degree but due to the lack of creditability of XXXX most work agencies do not recognize my degree as credible Sally Mae advised me to keep my loan on a hardship. A few years later my loan was transferred to Navient. I was advised by Navient to defer my loans. When I graduated I owed XXXX XXXX dollars, due to all of the interest on my loan I now owe XXXX XXXX. When I spoke to Navient last year they told me that after deferring my loans for 25 years it will be r. I informed Navient that I have been deferring my loans since XXXX so I have 13 years to deffer my loans. Navient informed me that they had my loans in a status that did not qualify for the 25 year program. I ask Naviant why I was never provided that information before when I called and asked what my options were. The Navient agent informed me that she did not know why. I asked if there is anything or anyone I can speak to about this. The Navient agent said their is nothing that can be done. Due to the choices Navient made for y loans and Navient Neglecting to notify my of my options it placed my in a bad situation. I also called Navient regarding loan forgiveness when XXXX was first closed down due to false advertizement of school programs for job placement and credits being able to transfer to other Universities. I informed Navient that I fall under these circumstances and would like to apply for the loan forgiveness program. Navient informed me that they had not heard anything about this ad advised me to contact XXXX XXXX XXXX. I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX who directed me back to Navient. Navient told me that my student loan did not qualify for the student loan program because I graduated and there was nothing that could be done but to keep deferring my student loans. I explained to Navient that I graduated in XX/XX/XXXX and was not provided the job placement assist services that XXXX promised with the my enrollment. The job fair that they invite me to had fast food places such as XXXX 's and another collage ( University of XXXX ) and call center and a representative to enroll into the XXXX. The credits do not transfer over as promised and I qualify for the loan forgiveness program. I called Navient several times requesting information regarding the loan forgiveness program and was never provided information. Over the course of several years I contacted XXXX XXXX searching for help and finally spoke to an agent who provided me with information on how to apply for the student loan forgiveness program. I finally was able to fill out an application on XX/XX/XXXX. If I was provided information on how to apply and not continuously told that I do not qualify I could have had my application in years ago when I first call and asked about this process. I graduated at XXXX years of age with XXXX child. I am now XXXX years old with XXXX children and I am unable to qualify for an auto loan a home mortgage or a personal loan over XXXX XXXX dollars, due to this student loan on my credit for so long accruing interest. I don't even qualify for a nice apartment to live and raise my children. I have to live in locations of the city that do not do credit checks which places my children and myself in the worst parts of the city. To purchase a vehicle to get to work and take my children to school I have to borrow money from my parents. My car is currently on its last leg and my parents are no longer in a position to lend me money to get a car. I called Navient and told them of my situation and asked them if there is anything that I can do about my credit so that I can qualify for every day life necessities such as a vehicle and a place to live. Navient once again told me there is nothing that can be done. They informed me that my application for Defense to repay should be reviewed in the next 10 years and we can go from there. I informed them that I will be XXXX years old by then and my loan will be around 100 thousand dollars. I spoke to a Consumer Finacial protection agent today who advised me to fill out this complaint. Please help me or point me in the right direction to get assistance. I graduated when I was XXXX years old, I am now XXXX years old and I have been dealing with this issue for 12 years. While I was young and dedicated to finishing school to make a better life for my family and myself, I was mis-lead and mis-informed by XXXX XXXX and Navient this resulted in not only me suffering through life for the past 12 years but my children are also effected by these cruel actions taken but XXXX and Navient. Since graduating collage and dealing with this issue it has made my life a nightmare. Normal thing that people do to raise a family such as purchasing a home or an automobile is not even a possibility for me in my life time because of these companies that took advantage of me at a young age I will pay for this for this until I die. Navent said that my application will take 10 years to be reviewed or 21 years until the interest is taken off. I will be XXXX years old or XXXX years old by that time. Please assist with anything that can be done. Thank you for your time.

Complaint: Various dates with Navient Student Loans I owe XXXX in student loans. My ex husband and I divorced two years ago ... he was on as a cosigner and in the divorce decree I am responsible for the debt.. and he is not working. They are not releasing him until I make payments on the loan for a year. This is not fair.. When I am asking about repayment options for myself a single mother now I am being told I would have to pay XXXX a month for all the private loans I have with very little towards principal and they will not work with me to lower my payments or I am being told different amounts by different representatives. Unreasonable payment arrangements and interest rates ... inconsistent figures to repay and not income and expense driven. They also go by gross pay, not net. I pay XXXX a month in health insurance and XXXX a month for my daughters car insurance plus mortgage, plus medical bills, etc. Navient needs to change their practices with student loan debt.

Complaint: In XXXX or XXXX I consolidated with my then husband during that small window when consolidation was, unfortunately, allowed. A year ago I divorced him because of XXXX XXXX. I also have a protective order stating that he's not even supposed to know where we're located. He was ordered in the divorce decree to pay that student loan. I understand that I signed the paperwork and that I'm also responsible for it. I'm in the process of working with legal aid to take him back to court to show he isn't paying. I have contacted Navient on numerous times trying to explain my situation so that I could personally apply for Income Based Repayment and they just tell me I have to have his consent and I must contact him. I have sent them copies of the protective order. The loan is getting ready to go into default which could also cause me to lose my XXXX XXXX and thus lose my only source of income for me and my children. I'm trying to take care of my responsibilities but Navient will not even talk to me without me talking to him first ... .which is not allowed.

Complaint: I have a private student loan with navient and I sent them to checks last month in XXXX from two separate checking accounts and they seem to have lost both checks. Neither one has posted to my student loan however both have cleared through my checking accounts. For both accounts when I look online it looks to be paid to Sallie Mae, not to navient. I have called navient multiple times and no one can answer my question as to where my money is. I also called Sallie Mae although I do not and have not ever had a loan through them to have them look as well. The first check I wrote is from XXXX XXXX, check number XXXX for {$450.00}. The second check was from XXXX XXXX XXXX, check number XXXX for {$480.00}. My account number with navient is XXXX. Since getting my student loan I have gotten married in my name is changed from XXXX XXXX to XXXX XXXX but navient still has my name is XXXX XXXX.

Complaint: The dates and amounts cary over the course of 10 plus years. I would receive phone calls and they were calling me names, like XXXX****, and saying i got the loans now its time to pay or i will my house, car, children would call me at leasr 20 times a day. I changed my phone number over and over and they still found it. They said i had to send payment asap. I would get different information everytime i would talk to XXXX. I was given more amounts of what i owed or how much my monthly would be They told me everytime called that my account would be updated with the information, but of course, never was. They would callny job at the time i hsd one, that i got fired because of them. Was even told the law enforcement will be showing 5that same day to take.me to jail. Was told since i was also on state assistance, to get off my XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX*. Was called XXXX XXXX. Sometimes they would be arguing with me that i couldn't get a word in i would cry for hours because of their nonsense.

Complaint: Called inXX/XX/XXXX for initial information on repayment and was told to put in forevearance for 2 years. Called in XX/XX/XXXX, was told to start paying or go back into forevearance, and I did not have other options. Went into forevearance. XX/XX/XXXX received calls once a week for about 6-8 month stating my loans were defaulted. Through several calls back and forth, Navient finally reversed and put into the forevearance state the loans were recommended by them to be in. Called in XX/XX/XXXXto go over repayment options, was offered IBR, but was still expensive for me with paying private loans. I asked if it takes into consideration my mortgage, car payment, and other student loans. The answer was that it is already factored in off of my taxes which is not true. I was pushed into forebearance again. Finally called last week, asked for REPAYE or PAYE options, was told I dont qualify but was not explained why. Again said that with private loans, mortgage, car, insurance etc I can not afford what is being offered, but PAYE or REPAYE would work. I was told this was not an option and I could defer or consolidate, and when asked I was told consolidating loans will not disqualify me from any loan forgiveness options, which is not true.

Complaint: I am a graduate student who took out a small student loan in XXXX through Navient and have been trying to pay it back early to save on interest. The original loan was for {$6500.00} in XX/XX/XXXX and to date i have payed ~ {$4000.00} back. I recently check my balance as i was planning on just paying the dividend and being done with it but when I checked my balance it said that i needed to pay it said I still owed {$5100.00}. I graduated XXXX inXX/XX/XXXX and started my phd work inXX/XX/XXXX. I believed my loan should have been in deferment with the exception for that one year period but of the {$4000.00} I have payed only a bit over {$1000.00} has actually went to the principal and the rest has repeatably gone to the " interest '' that Navient said would be expected if I payed it at their time schedule. Now if i want to pay the loan off today they are asking for a total of XXXX {$9000.00} for a {$6500.00} loan with only one year of interest. That doesn't make since. The federal student loan interest rate is 6.8 % and I am willing to pay that for the year that it was garnering interest but this price is drastically off.

Complaint: Pioneer Recovery Services- my student loan went on to default status. Within 2 days of default, Pioneer Recovery services made calls to multiple people that I may know ... my spouse, multiple in-laws, my parents, my friends, my office landlord, ... .. many, many, many people, multiple times per person. They already had my address and phone number- because they verified with these people, yet they repeatedly called my friends and family members. They are not supposed to let them know that they are a debt collection agency, however, they told everyone that they were " recovery services '' I know that they were offering me " student debt rehabilitation '' however, they will not send me any information about it- they demanded that I give them my financial information over the phone- will not give me any time to read the terms- had me on the phone for 40 minutes-
