Complaint: My original student loan servicer was sallie Mae i has been put on an interest only repayment program while trying to purchase a home from XXXX. Navient became my Lon servicer and began to defer my loan from XXXX student assistance corporation would call me and offer deferment as best option and never fully explained options. In XXXX of 2017 i was Contacted by XXXX XXXX telling me i qualified For a student loan repayment program. If i made Eight payments of XXXX dollars they would put my loan in good standing. I did not complete the program or fill out paperwork from them. They asked for my information and filled out paperwork for a consolidation loan i found out about later. After this happened my loan balance increased by XXXX dollars. My account history shows a lob payment of XXXX and new balance of XXXX. There are duplicate interest charges each month and there is no record of any paperwork or loan details form the school or original lender. Lon history is also different for each loan. In attempts to acquire Loan history and terms i have Been unsuccessful only being told they do not have any.

Complaint: After recently requesting a " verification of debt '' from Navient due to my account balances appearing to be extended, larger amounts due, and more loans than what I had on file, I received two loan applications and promissory notes. I pay on 3 loans every month to Navient that seen to never decrease in balances and the interest rates are up to 12 % when my records show much lower interest rates. I'm struggling paying these loans due to my financial planning was supposed to have them paid for by now but the loans keep increasing with different balances etc. I have loan documents from XXXX and XXXX to include 2 loans one for XXXX and one for XXXX. I'm not understanding where I owe 3 loans according to my account with Navient, 1 at XXXX, 1 at XXXX, and another at XXXX. After paying on these loans with Navient since XXXX I admit I have been confused and not able to track all my school loans and have just been paying what ever is asked of me. Recently after counting up the payments and years of payments it sparked a concern that my Navient loans were not correct and then I found many discrepancies. I would appreciate any assistance in this matter.

Complaint: I've been having issues with Navient for years. They are very rude and condescending when they're talking to me. I had an issue once with it stated on my account that I had a past due amount but had been making auto-payments- they had the incorrect date on their end of the due date and when they were taking the payment, so they were calling them late- not my fault. Six months ago I called with issues with making payments. I had been unemployed and had to move across country for a job opportunity. They said there was nothing they could do- I also had complained that my payment was never the same every month and they lied and said it was. I had my account open in front of me showing different amounts taken from my account every month- again the agent lied. I told them to un-enroll me that I would make payments on my own. He assured me that it had occurred but the payment was still taken out of my account that moment. I forcibly through my bank stopped the payments from that point and did not make payments, as I could not afford them and the company was not willing to help me. Today, they called me and I again were so rude I asked to speak to the manager. The agent literally said to me " you have a job and the payment is {$180.00}, I don't understand '' When I explained that was too high for me he again said {$180.00} as if it was insignificant. The manager he finally transferred me to was just as rude but a bit calmer so I attempted to work something out with him. It's still not ideal but Idk what else to do. This company needs to be reported for the treatment of their customers.

Complaint: Company=Navient. Issues RE how account has been handled, collected, misrepresented, credit reporting, 2 loans attached that are not mine contributing to an inflated principal to collect higher interest payments. Navient currently owes me estimated thousands in overpayment refund. Despite my insistence of overpayment, and my dispute of legitimacy of debt they continue to garnish my accounts. Also, in a recent letter to me Navient States Unfortunately, Navient on behalf of XXXX XXXX. XXXX, XXXX can not provide you with 1098-E for the tax year ( s ) XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX. ( They omitted XXXX - ) Please accept this letter as evidence that you paid XXX $ $ accrued interest. Im not sure that is even legal! I have 6 loans 3 sub/3unsub dating from XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX total principal {$15000.00} at 6.8 % fixed. Since XXXX I have been being charged for two additional loans totaling {$6800.00}! These loans have no paper trail. Navient presented me with a copy of my original application for student loan as their proof of legit thats it! Further just because a student qualifies for a certain amount of loans does not mean they utilize the full available amount. So students beware! Also, there is no disbursement record of these two loans nor do they coincide with any student accounts/funds received on my behalf through the University either. In XXXX my family suffered a tragedy to our child with multiple hospitalizations. XX/XX/XXXX Navient found in me in default! By XXXX I was in hospital myself with a XXXX XXXX. Later in XXXX of XXXX my husband died, left me w/XXXX young children, challenged. By XXXX of XXXX Navient w/o notice, attached my SS widows death benefit and my fed tax returns ( more of a mess ) I ended up losing our family home at this point. For the last six years Navient has sucked over {$29000.00} from me on a {$15000.00} student loan debt!. ( And don't forget, they wont provide me with federal 1098-E student interest payment form! What are they hiding or what doesnt add up? ) Unbelievably still, Navient claims I currently have a balance due over 10K! I absolutely have overpaid this debt easily in excess of 6K and thats calculating everything as unsubsidized because they royally XXXX up their status calculations. ( I.e How can I be listed in forbearance while I am actively in school? ) In my opinion, Navient has been deceitful in their loan activities/maintenance practices, unethical in their approach to collection, and collection reporting. They have over-collected funds, and continue to over-collect $ . Theres a hand in my pocket and it seems I have had no way to stop them! wouldnt they have to show a proof of debt to a judge to attach accounts? I havent been able to get this seemingly false dossier. This has gone on now for years. Im hoping for help to recoup an accurate account of my over payment. Also hoping for assistance In getting a letter of their wrong doings to be attached to my creditors. Navient has put me through the ringer! Somebody needs to stop this runaway company and make them accountable for their unethical practices! We might not need to look so much into eradicating student debt if we monitored more closely those with the keys to the vault!

Yet they continue to report to the credit bureau during an ongoing investigation that according to the news in the paper could last year 's and in the process there during destroying my credit

Complaint: Been paying on time for years, had to move to monthly payments, when lost job and lowered monthly payments, got job in XXXX XXXX, moved, barely missed payment deadline, started receiving plentiful and aggressive phone calls where they didn't listen to a word you said and kept pushing. ( It was lunch break, at the XXXX, told them that I don't verify information to cold calls an that I would call them back, or pay online, completely ignored me and kept pushing for my personal information. I was current about a few hours later, but I was still receiving calls in the interim. ) This is terrible harassment, to a customer who has been paying faithfully. I am disgusted that I was treated so aggressively. This company is a Government entity and should know better by now. Get this company in line with practices that are good for the public. The government, banks, and education systems made this a problem. The LEAST they can do is not be awful about it and treat people with respect.

Complaint: I attended XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX. I had taken a XXXX dollar student loan through Sallie Mae which was XXXX a semester. I withdrew a couple days into my second semester and the college tried to get me to pay them for second semester but I contacted them and it was fixed that I didnt have a balance and that they never received the XXXX for the other half from Sallie Mae. Since then I was unemployed and XXXX and in XXXX a lot and for several years I had told them that and asked for forbearance. In XXXX Navient still had my loans and my credit had been destroyed they put me in default and took my whole tax return. Now since then my lions were turned over to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and Dept. of Education and Ive been on a repayment plan and out of default. I should not owe XXXX only XXXX. Im attaching all documents and would like to get refunded and the remainder of my balance eliminated and my credit repaired.

Complaint: Hello, I have recently graduated earning my XXXX XXXX XXXX this XXXX and I am in the process of applying and searching for employment. I have outstanding student loan debt for which I've qualified for Income Deferred Repayment for 12 months through my Federal loans. I am also attempting to reduce my payments through my private loans but my experience through the Navient Private loan sector and collections department has been overwhelmingly rude and intolerant to my present hardships. It appears that they want me to show a default on loans or payments before any true consideration can be met with a compliance to reduce payments to a comfortable amount or an inability to make certain monthly loan payment amounts ( amounts to which, I, apparently can have no say in ). I have spoken with several managers, one of whom 's name is XXXX or XXXX, mentioned he sees no hardship and that our credit scores are good and no late payments have been made. Please note : I have future plans which require I keep my payments and amounts current but it appears you need me to miss several payments on my loans in order to qualify for your hardship consideration. I know what I can afford and I feel I am not receiving any assistance nor understanding from any member in this department. As we know, so often these factors of good standing are often taken into consideration when seeking new employment and thus your infringements further complicate any attempt to move forward. Thus I will continue to complain and seek every avenue to dispute your response in handling the hardship and circumstances of my situation and levels of distress regarding these loans. A fair resolution would be a logical one, allowing the student or borrower a say in determining an affordable loan repayment, particularly when the student / borrower is actively seeking to repay the loan but has not been employed and is using funds specifically allocated towards private loans. This is a responsible student that knows her budget and should have a say in what she can presently afford, according to her present condition and circumstances. XXXX XXXX.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 I submitted a complaint to Navient that my credit reporting was not being updated. I have numerous late payments reported even though I was in deferrment. I have a statement from Navient stating that I was in derferment/forebearance. Navient rep took over 6 weeks to respond. She confirmed that I was in deferrment but said she has no obligation to update my credit reporting as the credit reporting was accurate when reported. The FTC advisory ( quoted and attached in this email ) specifically states that student loan creditors and other creditors must update information, regardless of whether or not it was accurate when reported. The Navient rep I spoke to ( XXXX XXXX ) stated that Navient is not required to follow FTC advisories. I have attached the email correspondences along with my statement from navient.

Complaint: I have four private student loans in total that were handled by XXXX and owned by XXXX. Two of the four loans have been given to Navient from XXXX. The XXXX Account Number for my loans is Account # XXXX. The Navient Account Number fir my loans is Account # XXXX. I have requested multiple times from both loan services for my terms and agreement paperwork and ownership documents that XXXX owns my loans. The fact that I am asking for help with repayment and to see my terms and my services won't provide me any paper is concerning as I do not believe the amounts I owe are the true amount. Can you please get my terms and agreement paperwork and ownership documents from XXXX so I can have the binding documents that my loan is in fact still intact.

Complaint: I went to XXXX XXXX College from XXXX to XXXX. The school lost its accreditation and I'm still working to pay off this loan. My loan was consolidated by Navient to where I have been making payments for years. In not really understanding the interest and payment plans I often asked for payment to apply to the principal or what reasonable plan I can manage to do so. They offered a plan with a massive amount of over {$500.00} a month and other plans that would not benefit me so reluctantly I opt for the income driven plan. I later notice that my interest are higher than my payments. Evan when i over pay. My balance never decreases. Each month it increases. I'm only paying interest, nothing goes to the principal balance, not 1.00 dollar. I thought this was against the law. I am compliant. Navient does not have to call and hunt me down to make my payments. I work as a XXXX XXXX for XXXX but can not apply for a forgiveness because it's XXXX XXXX. I understand that I took this loan but do not understand how it can be paid off. I am trapped. If I fail to pay they will take it from from tax returns and my credit destroyed. Getting a better education should not result in feeling this way. This wrong.
