This Is only financial Institutions in united states that is treating consumers like this and the Government Needs to shut them.down!

Complaint: I cancelled the card because I was getting unauthorized Charges, I called Netspend and asked for a new card, I got the card and called to activate, I was told that I had negative {$1.00} and was told that I had not used the card in 180 days ... .Got a new card XXXX I called XXXX/XXXX/XXXX to activate and was told that I have a negative {$45.00} this time from XXXX XXXX, who I have no clue to why I would have a charge. If I have not used the card in 180 days and the card is not activated, how can someone charge to the card, I called and asked for a Supervisor 2 times and each time I was left on hold for 25 to 40 minutes I was also told that the XXXX charge is from XXXX

Complaint: Hi My name is XXXX I have a pre-paid debit card with Netspend.and I had been issued a refund from a cheer uniform company due to the fact that they had sent me the wrong size kit so my cheerleader 's uniforms were mad wrong. after several talks with the merchant they found out that they did send me the wrong size kit. so they decided to issue me half for the tops. well the money was sent to my Netspend card. which I had no Idea that they would put a hold on the funds and not issue to me. after sending serveral documents, after speaking with the Merchant they still refuse to send or release the funds, They did not warn me or tell me that they could do or that it was their policy. the amount that they are holding is XXXX, XXXX They are saying the only way that they would release the funds or mail the check back to the merchant is that they would have to have a XXXX letter. Well the XXXX letter was e-mail now the fraud department at netspend said that they have to have the physical letter. I have called the XXXX, I have filed with the XXXX

Complaint: I am writing to you at this time because I do not know where to turn with this problem. I have been going back and forth with Netspend, which is affiliated with XXXX, since XXXX XXXX, 2015. On XXXX XXXX, 2015 XXXX fraudulent claims were charged to my Netspend account. XXXX of the charges were made at XXXX for {$110.00} each charge. The other charge was made from XXXX shop in Florida for {$110.00}. I am a XXXX year old woman residing in XXXX, NY with neither a XXXX account nor a do I own a car. When my son noticed these charges on XXXX XXXX, 2015 he immediately contacted Netspend by telephone while all XXXX charges were pending. He was told to wait for the charges to go through and then call them back. From there things only got worse and much more confusing. On XXXX XXXX, 2015 Netspend said they opened a dispute claim, # XXXX. They also told me via e-mail that " we will attempt to complete the investigation within 10 business days. If we need more time we may take up to 45 calendar days to complete the investigation. If we determine more time is needed, we may issue a temporary credit so you have use of your funds during the investigation. '' Of course they never gave me the credit because they claimed I did not send them my signature, which was never requested by them. They also claimed I did not contact them in a certain amount of time. They were contacted within one day of the transactions. It is impossible to speak to a person in the " fraud '' department because my son was told by the phone representatives that the fraud department does not speak to customers on the phone. He was also unable to get a last name or direct phone number from any of the representatives he spoke to on the telephone. In the meantime they decided on XXXX XXXX, 2015 to deny my claim. The reason they gave for this decision was that they did not receive my signature. I wrote back to them expressing my dissatisfaction with the outcome of their so-called " investigation '' into this matter. I explained that I am a XXXX year old widow on a very low fixed income and need this money back. In fact, my XXXX payment was turned down because of insufficient funds and I was changed a {$12.00} late fee when this happened. This does not include all the {$1.00} fees that Netspend has been charging me for each fraudulent transaction. Consequently, they agreed to reopen my claim. This time I sent them a certified letter with the disputed charges and with my signature. Now I am being told it will take another 45 calendar days for their decision. As I explained earlier, this is causing me a big financial problem because of my very low fixed income. It is also causing me much stress as I worry about how I am going to make up for this {$330.00} that has been stolen from my account. . Their phone number is XXXX. This is a prepaid XXXX debit card account which I needed so my social security and pension checks could be deposited into since I do not have a checking account. Complaint: I purchased a prepaid credit card from XXXX when I opened the package i did not like terms of service and fees so I asked for a refund of my money. Was refused and told I have to use the card. I then tried to register it and the site said it was expired so I called the company and was told I have to purchase a New card and pay for it. I refused. I called several times and finally It took over a year to receive the new card with no fee and when I did I registered it and checked the balance. It was {$0.00} so I called them and was told that the maitence fee used up my balance. I never had a chance to use the card.

Complaint: I went to a XXXX XXXX store o purchase a prepaid netspend card to pay abill over the phone. When I trie to activate the the person on the stated she could not activate card do to a block. I ask her how could that be this is a prepaid card, I paid XXXX XXXX money to put on the card. She sayed it wasn, t anything she could do. Go back to XXXX XXXX to get a refund. I went back to the XXXX XXXX to get a refund the clerk stated that netspend had put a block on the prepaid card so I could, nt received refund. I call netspend back sh he stated she would release a check on XXXX/XXXX/2015 to waite 5 to 10 days. I d not received check in 5 days, so I call netspend back the person that answer phone stated she did not she wear it was a check mail to me. she stated she would issue the check the next day. To wait 3 to 5 day. It is XX/XX/XXXX2015. I still have not receive my owe money I paid to be put on this card. Everybody at netspend have been telling me a big lie every since XXXX/XXXX/2015.

Complaint: I put an XXXX iPhone 6 plus on layway for my daughter for {$710.00} at the XXXX store. I made several payments with cash and debt cards. After I completed all the payment and I received the phone. When I tried to activate the phone with my provider, XXXX informed me that the phone is locked under t-mobile. I returned the phone to XXXX for a refund. They said it would have to be replaced on a credit/debit card. I informed the manager the payments we made mostly with cash and there were different cards yused. He told me it did n't matter which card. I gave them a netspend card in which the total purchase amount was refunded to the card. In about 24 hours the refund posted. At that time netspend put a block on the total balance {$920.00} in the account instead of blocking or have the refund pending. I am truly outraged and I 'm infuriated. I have no access to any money. I call customer service to resolve the issue. It should be against the law for them to not allow me access for my funds that were in the account before the refund. I provided them receipts. It is as easy as making a phone call to get validation on the transaction. Now I have to pay a fine for court tonight @ XXXX but I have no money.

Complaint: on a sunday, I went to a free atm to get money after church to pay my tithes and for gas money for work I knew exactly how much I had. Nothing was available. called the skylight card and they told me a transaction had been made I asked them when and they stated that day. I informed them I was at church. They then informed me that the company that made the deposit did a reversal and that they would have my XXXX back on in XXXX hrs, I called back they stated they mailed it to my physical address. That is the last that I have heard from them I contacted the agency and was told they said they would mail the check to them. I do n't know why they have not either mailed the check by now or placed it back to my account.
