Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 XXXX XXXX card company received my XXXX compensation check from the Veterans Affairs Administration and have yet to send the check back or offer a better solution so that I may receive funds. It has put me in a hardship and i risk losing my home and vehicle as they have not yet sent the check back to Veterans Affairs, I desperately need my money and do not understand why they have not send it back yet. It has put me in a terrible hardship. Can someone please help. The check is a little over {$3200.00}. I have called them once last week and once today which is XX/XX/2018.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 I received a text message telling me that a purchase was made in the amount of {$220.00} at XXXX XXXX. I called Netspend immediately to report the transaction and to have my card cancelled. On XX/XX/2018 I received a letter from Netspend stating that they did not find that any error had occurred. At that point I called XXXX XXXX to find out who purchased the ticket and where they flew from and to. I found that the ticket was purchased in XXXX, XXXX by a male named XXXX XXXX and that he flew to XXXX. I live in XXXX, XXXX which is near XXXX and have never been to Texas and did not authorize this purchase and have never heard the name XXXX XXXX. I relayed this information to Netspend and was told that they would investigate it further. This was about a month ago. I have called and requested for their Fraud Dept. to call me back and have not received a call back. It seems that they do not have a direct line for you to call for their fraud dept. I made another request today and as of yet have heard nothing.

Confusing or misleading advertising about the card
Complaint: I received what appears to be a prepaid card from netspend located in XXXX Texas. The mail was addressed to a person who does not live at my address. When I try to call the company to report possible fraudulent activity the number does not give you the opportunity to speak to a representative if you dont have an act number or it will ask you for a social security number. This is not the first time I received this from netspend. I placed a complaint a few months ago because they sent me a prepaid card and I never asked for this card. This company should not be asking for social security numbers in order to be able to speak to a representative. They have no option to call and report this type of activity. This is very deceptive to a consumer and should be looked into. I want to find out who is using my address for this type of activity.

Complaint: I contacted my bank after I was unable to resolve the billing error with the XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX stole XXXX from my card ending in XXXX. I canceled my renewal membership but still to the payment in XX/XX/18. Which was whole day before my renewal date of XX/XX/18 It was also hard to reach someone at XXXX XXXX so I contacted my bank whom I thought would protect my money. I sent an email with no response from the XXXX XXXX. On the recording message about billing issue it says once a payment is process it will not be refunded. So basically I cancel my membership in time but since they took the payment early I can't get a refund. When I disputed the charge with my bank on XX/XX/2018. They said XXXX credit will be issued on the dispute.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 my wife did let she do every month went to XXXX XXXX to do a debit transaction with our XXXX XXXX debit card. She was transferring a total of {$1000.00} from the XXXX XXXX debit card to our XXXX XXXX account but the transaction was decline because there was only {$1000.00} on the XXXX XXXX debit card and she thought it was {$1000.00} on the card. The transaction did not go through I was charge a {$1.00} for a decline fee. After this my wife decided to wait for the next day to redo the transaction because XXXX said they could only swipe the card once. My wife left the bank to go to the store and the card was decline because funds were not available. At that time i went on line to look at my account and saw where it had the {$100000.00} pending so I called the customer service number and they told me that my money would be available in 6 hours so I took their word for that. The next day I went on line to look at my account and my money was still pending. I called the XXXX XXXX customer service agent again and this time they said that I would have to have XXXX XXXX send them a memo stated that they will not try to get the money back and then they could release the money in 6 hours. We went to XXXX XXXX and the customer service agent said that once the transaction was decline they had no legal rights to the money so they were lost on why they had to send any kind of statement in reference to getting our money back. I called the customer service agent again and told her that we needed our money and she said she would see what she could do. I gave XXXX 2 days and I went to look on my account and still the money was still pending. My wife went to XXXX XXXX and called one of the supervisor at XXXX XXXX and she had one of the customer service agent with her and the custormer agent from XXXX was willing to tell the agent from XXXX XXXX that there was no way that they were going to come back and take the money back that was decline but the XXXX XXXX supervisor would not talk to her on the phone and got very up set with us. Today is the XX/XX/2018 and our money is still pending on our account. I have not paid my mortgage and other bills because XXXX XXXX still have my money pending. My name is XXXX XXXX and I would like for you to help me resolve this problem so I can get my money to pay my bills.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 at XXXX XXXX MST I received an Alert to my Text Messages from Netspend Credit Card stating suspicious activity on my account and so I immediately called it using my PIN. at the same time 3 separate transactions were taking place. At around XXXX XXXX I got the rep on the phone an we went thru the process to identify me and completed that once that was done the payment that caused the alerts started to process thru my account {$10.00}, {$200.00}, {$1100.00}. she was able to stop the {$200.00}, but not the {$10.00} and {$11000.00} as the block was removed at XXXX XXXX. This Netspend company did not stop these transactions even after I said they were not me ... .I was provided the PIN the unauthorized user used which was XXXX which is the last 4 of the card NOT the PIN. The funds or transactions were actually ok 'd and my account was deducted. I explained this is my Rent and i need my money as this was there ERROR releasing the information. I was told it would Escalated and Disputed was it processed. I attempted to call XXXX XXXX XXXX where the purchases took place as well, and was told I would need to Dispute with Credit Card company. I have requested this is am XXXX XXXX an email advising of the Dispute requested and I was told they could not provide this information. I need this information to provide to my Rent Provider to make them aware ... I was told it takes 10 days for this to be Disputed ... I have been met with unsatisfactory service.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 I filed a dispute with Netspend in the amount of XXXX. I accidentally paid XXXX more than what I wanted to pay. Called merchant they didnt do anything. Called Netspend talked to them. Was told to file a dispute so I did. They emailed something to fill out. I told them I have no printer or any way printing anything out. They never sent me anything in the mail. They will not credit my account. Told me I have to wait until they update me on the XX/XX/XXXX.

Trouble closing card
Complaint: I closed my NetSpend account on XX/XX/XXXX. I was advised a check with the remaining amount ( minus a closing fee ) would be mailed to my house within 7-10 business days. I called on XX/XX/XXXX to confirm my account was closed and the check was coming, and the rep told me I should get my check by the XXXX. I did not get the check. When I spoke to NetSpend on XX/XX/XXXX, the rep said they will email me within 24 hours an update on the check. I received no email. When I then spoke to NetSpend on XX/XX/XXXX, they said they never send updates by email, and their Fraud Dept will provide a final determination within another 24 hours, and for me to call back. I call back XX/XX/XXXX, and this time, I'm told the Fraud Dept was not involved, and that I should receive my check in another 7-10 business days. The XX/XX/XXXX rep kept asking me if I want to re-open my account ( I think he is trained to do this by his superiors ), and I had to tell him multiple times I have no interest doing business with NetSpend, especially after this particular experience. CONCLUSION - Their story keeps changing whenever I call, and I don't believe they will send this check in 10 business days. They may be doing this intentionally until I forget about the check, to pocket the remaining balance from before I closed my account.
