Complaint: My name XXXX XXXX, I've been XXXX from the US Military since XXXX. I'm now an XXXX year old man, and lve been XXXX for 48 years. I've recently pulled my credit to see what was on it.
Apond pulling my credit I found several items that I never applied for, one item on my credit profile is a credit card from Navy Federal credit Union.
I never applied for a card from this credit Union. If you look at my credit profile I have live only in one state after I XXXX from the Military in XXXX, I have not lived in no other state. I built my home here and have always live here in XXXX Florida.
My credit have been used fraudulently and I am asking for this credit card to be removed form my credit profile.
I have reached out to the three major credit bureaus and submitted a claim of fraud on my account.
Per the 605b any fraudulent information on my credit profile needs to be removed within 4 business day upon my letter of request.
Please block this information from my credit report, pursuant to section 605B of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and send the required notifications to all furnishers of this information.

Complaint: I found out end of XX/XX/XXXX that there was an account for a credit card I didn't recognize, this account is showing on my report and the bank is Navy federal credit Union. My ex-husband open and used this account on his own with my information, without my consent.I called NFCU and they help me report the fraudulent account, however, they are telling me that since the account was set up in my name I'm responsible for any balance. XXXX XXXX had set up the account using his email, phone number, mailing address, setting up username and password as well. it seems that has been using this account to pay off credit cards on his name making balance transfers electronically. I believe he was not able to open an account on his name with NFCU due to the fact that he previously filed bakruptcy. Also, I remarried and changed my name legally in XXXX.

Complaint: I was trying to apply for a XXXX streamline with Navy they ran my credit without seeing if I prequalified according XXXX XXXX XXXX.Asking basic questions when I close on my current loan or how many payments I have made. I f all the information was captured I would of waited to file my application. I did not know I had to wait 6 payments or 210 days from prior refinancing because it doesnt say it on Navy Federal website for the consumer.
Also the person that is taking the applications should know lending guidelines when taking applications because it would of saved me a lot of time with scanning in my income documents.

A new card ok cool then come back and say we didnt find any error so we closed the case ok a second time same thing how do these people keep getting my information you guys advertising that you will protect my money but definitely not showing it and Im definitely not gettin. Protected at all and now theyre holding on to my money saying that I cant get it out because its theirs when some one overdrafted my account Im closing this account out I see why no one wants to come here because yall are bad for business and definitely not who you say you are and Im posting this situation in social media, news companys etc so the whole world can know that you guys are fraudulent and definitely dont protect other people information i am now behind on my bills thanks to NAVY Federal and give me my money or Im getting a lawyer involved in this and thats that.

Problem during payment process
Complaint: I learned today, via my wife, that Navy Federal withdrew {$160.00} from our Joint Checking Account with Navy Federal to pay a past due credit card balance with no previous authorization from myself to do so. They won't speak with my wife because, despite being a joint account holder for the checking account, she is not a joint holder on my credit card account. Now typically, as shown through my Navy Federal Credit Card ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) payment activity, when I do miss a payment, I pay twice the amount the following month. Now, no one from Navy Federal Credit Union called me and left a message regarding the past due bill, they just automatically withdrew the money. Initially, I had my wife reach out to Navy Federal to resolve the situation but despite being a joint checking/savings account holder, they would not speak to her about the unauthorized deduction from the account because it involved my credit card, to which she is not a joint holder. In speaking with the credit collections department at XXXX, today, XX/XX/2019, they stated as part of Navy Federal 's Credit Card 's Terms of use they can make an such a deduction. I explained to them, that this is not legal and specific authorization has to be made by me or my wife to do so. I requested, then demanded the return of the {$160.00} as that is my son 's money ( who is XXXX going to be XXXX ). I am requesting the CFPB look into this issue regarding financial institutions who issue credit cards being allowed to make unauthorized deductions from private accounts without obtaining verbal or written authorization to do so. Complaint: My previous complaint number XXXX filed on XX/XX/2019, is related to this complaint. On XX/XX/2019, I called NFCU and left a message that I want in writing a letter stating that the credit card charges were an error reposted by Navy Federal Credit Union and the charge should not have been reposted to my account. This assures me if the charge is ever reposted by Navy Federal I have documentation to support removing the charge. On XX/XX/2019 I received a call from XXXX a Navy Federal representative stating the charge was removed. I informed her I want it in writing and left a message for the representative. XXXX said she would follow up with the representative to insure a letter was sent. I have heard nothing back from XXXX or the representative.

Charged too much interest
Complaint: Navy Federal Credit Union. Visa Credit Card They are charging so much in interest that I cant pay off the debt. I have called and they will not lower the interest. The interest for cash advance is so high and accrues daily. 5 yrs ago I needed a cash advance while going through a separation. Each time I make a payment it is absorbed by interest and never toward the balance until this day. I asked if I could pay the cash advance off and customer service replied no. So it keeps adding and I cant reduce the debt unless I pay it off in full, which I cant do. Im paying monthly, but getting no where. I opened the card while going through a separation to help with expenses and did not understand the fine print. Now Im divorced, living in a small apartment, need to restore my credit, and Im trying, but cant make a dent in this card.
