Complaint: My complaint is against Monterey Financial Services XXXX Inc. in California. There are several problems with this company and their fees. I was charged a no sufficient funds charge of {$30.00} in XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. I immediately called my bank since I knew the funds were in my account. The bank said no request for payment was ever presented. I called this organization and they would not budge off the premise that I owed their fee. Additionally, they charged me with another {$15.00} which totaled {$45.00} plus my regular monthly payment of {$220.00}. I paid these ridiculous fees so I could be from under this debt as soon as possible. On XXXX XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX I scheduled what I thought would be my last payment. When I checked my account on the following Monday it showed a remaining balance of {$1.00}. I wanted to be away from this account as quickly as possible, so I wanted to pay this off. I was afraid to mail since I felt they would not be honest and post to my account so they could charge more fees. I tried to pay online where I knew they would charge an additional {$10.00} but I was kicked out of the site. On Tuesday, I decided to call to make the final payment and their phone system stated that I owed {$16.00}. I paid the fee so that I would have a {$0.00} balance. My complaint is after 24 months of dealing with this company I have paid a total of {$270.00} in what is listed as " other '' fee since I wanted to pay online so that my account would be credited on the day I paid. It seems to me all of these additional fees and how they collect them could not possibly be legal. They charge {$10.00} for late fees and {$10.00} for paying online and then they slid in the phony returned payment fee of {$30.00}. To make matters worse they are showing my last payment as a write off and not as a final payment nor do they show the {$16.00}. They show {$1.00} was the balance the day I paid the account in full.

They lured me into getting a loan from them but the service was not provided. i stopped making payment due to the lack of delivery of services.They keep on calling me and harrasing me. Complaint: To Whom It May Concern : I am formally filing a complaint against Monterey Financial Services for XXXX actions that violate my rights as a consumer and fair debt collections practices acts ( FDCPA ). Monterey Financial Services has provided false statements to XXXX and XXXX trying to collect debt by misrepresentation the amount I owe. XXXX has both regular account and a collections account while XXXX only has the regular account. The amounts stated were to be principal and interest but later were told that collections fees were involved. Second, Monterey gave false credit information to the credit reporting companies about their collections and amounts paid. How did XXXX come up with a balance owed {$5200.00} on XXXX XXXX, XXXX? That is what XXXX states in my credit report. Third, Monterey is charging fees of {$20.00} per month, late fees, interest and other collection fees that I have asked for in writing but Monterey refused to provide. My contract does n't allow for them to collect collections fees, a {$20.00} per month other fee, and interest on top of everything else. This is a breach of contract and therefore Monterey should have to pay for failures. I have attached letters written by myself on different occasions to get the necessary explanation for the charges. I have attached a copy of the agreement along with how Monterey applied my payments. I have asked repeatedly for an account analysis and summary. However, Monterey has refused to provide such analysis and understanding of the charges and fees. I have paid {$200.00} per month from XXXX XXXX through XXXX XXXX which is not shown to any of the credit bureaus and should be reflected. As of XXXX XXXX I will not be paying anymore payments to Monterey since Monterey has breached their fiduciary duties as mentioned above. I have consulted with an attorney, credit specialist and I performed my own research about Monterey 's practices and behaviors to conduct this thought out letter and analysis. Thank you for your time and I look forward to your review and analysis in the next 30 days.

Complaint: I went to the shop called XXXX on XXXX XXXX to get my car fixed, it was on XX/XX/2015.The owner put me on a plan called flexpay plus, after taking me {$200.00} cash only, no receipt was given, for me it was red light.then the rest was supposed to be pay within 90 days or by refinance with high interest,XXXX weeks after i scheduled to pay off the loan within 90 days, they called me and said that they made mistake on the amount that i own them that it should be higher, i said ok, then i have chosen to pay them one time payment in my convenience day but before 90days expired, they did not like it and they start those abuses listed at the bottom 1-They call me all the time. 2-when they call me and i pick up the phone, there is nobody to talk with me, i listen the music and the voice of lady talking until it tell me press 1 to leave a message and we will call you back 3-they harass me all the time 4-their practices are just illegal Starting i thought i was dealing with XXXX then i found myself dealing with montereyfinancial only few days after signing the contract with XXXX
