Complaint: I had a background check done with a company I am starting a position with. LexisNexis reported that I have a misdemeanor on my record! It was merely a minor traffic violation - a speeding ticket over 14 years ago! ( which should be expunged from record anyway ).
It happened on XX/XX/XXXX. Court case # XXXX. Court disposition date XX/XX/XXXX. This was in the state of VA, I did not go to court as I was traveling from XXXX - visiting my sister, back to XXXX, XXXX. I paid the fine through mail.
My ex-husband is a XXXX and even states this should not be listed as a misdemeanor, there was no criminal act or accident or damage done. It is a speeding ticket!
I called LexisNexis on XX/XX/XXXX as soon as I was shown the record. I was transferred all around by non-english speaking reps and basically told thats what it shows and a dispute would take 40-60 days. This is for employment starting in 2 weeks and it is false!
