Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX PST, I received an email from chase saying I was approved for a chase XXXX preferred card. I received the card XX/XX/XXXX. I attempted to activate the card at XXXX XX/XX/XXXX to find that the account had been closed before I could active the card. I called to inquire why, they told me after having approved me and extended me credit, some other, unknown department did some extra due diligence to decide not to extend me credit ultimately. They ran my credit, extended and approved my credit line based on my credit report that they pulled and then denied it. This is not how the credit process works and it unacceptable. This is a bait and switch tactic and is in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I asked them to remove the inquiry as I've worked extremely hard to improve my credit score over the last 2 years. My XXXX score is XXXX, my XXXX score is XXXX and some how they are saying my XXXX is XXXX. They've denied my request to remove the hard inquiry to my credit report and have not extended the credit they approved me for.

Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Complaint: In XX/XX/2018 I received a shipment of something I did not order. I immediately contacted Chase Visa credit card and they confirmed fraudulent activity on my account. They closed and re-issued my card.
I checked my account online and noted 2 fraudulent purchases : 1 ) One item shipped to my home from XXXX for {$440.00} ( dated XX/XX/XXXX ) and another from XXXX XXXX ( dated XX/XX/XXXX ) for {$830.00}. The latter was shipped somewhere else. I made one attempt to call XXXX to request a return label. There was no answer, and I sensed it was a " shady '' company so I did not pursue further. Instead I requested that Chase follow-up with them for return instructions. Although both charges were initially cancelled, Chase later reinstated the XXXX charge claiming that I had " benefited '' from this purchase. ( it is a large kitty litter box which was of zero value to me. ) My complaint is against Chase, in particular their " recovery/fraud '' team. They are based in the XXXX and I have noticed a disturbing pattern during my conversations with them. They made the following false statements to me : 1 ) The XXXX purchase was a " chip '' transaction.
( This is impossible as it is an online only company. This was easily confirmed by checking their website. Why didn't Chase check also? ) Here is a link, please scroll down to bottom XXXX XXXX XXXX 2 ) XXXX had my email address therefore I must have made the purchase.
( The address they told me was a XXXX account which I have never had. ) 3 ) They said I needed to send Chase proof that I did not order this. ( I'm not sure how to prove that I did NOT do something. When I asked what they meant by proof they suggested I send a copy of a police report. I did not file a police report nor do I believe it is the job of my local/state police to handle Chase 's online fraud! ) 4 ) They claimed that I had approved the XXXX XXXX purchase when they knew full well that I did not. I suggested they look into the shipment address for the XXXX charge for clues as to who had my credit card number. They said they would have to charge this BACK to my credit card in order to re-open an inquiry. Why was this not part of the initial inquiry? It seems highly likely to me that the two charges were made by the same person and they could find the other shipment address helpful.
5 ) Finally, after talking to a Chase Fraud supervisor, she scheduled a conference call for today between her ( XXXX ) and XXXX in which I would participate. I called today to make sure this was happening and was told that the records showed I had declined to be on the call. This is totally false! They eventually admitted to me that they had made a mistake in saying that I refused to be on the call.
I fully intend to close any accounts I have with Chase after this experience. In the meantime I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide.

Complaint: Chase closed all my three checking accounts and three credit card accounts without a reason on XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted customer support to find out the reason is nondisclosure. I visited Chase branch to try to figure out what was wrong causing Chase to " Stop the relationship '' with me. Even the Manager at the branch was unable to find out the cause leading to closing.
Fast foward to XX/XX/XXXX, an application for a chase card was submitted. Chase once again, denied the application with only one reason undisclose previous unsatisfaction relationship. When I tried to contact chase customer support just to get the same answer, Chase decided to cancel because the bank wanted to, not for any reason. Until now, I have no idea what was wrong causing all my accounts was closed. All I really want to know is the real reason or reasons and what can I do to clear the " previous unsatisfaction relationship ''.

Complaint: -At the end of XX/XX/2019, I posted an item for sale on XXXX. The amount of the item ( a picture ) was for {$150.00}. Within minutes, I received a note from an interested buyer who indicated that he/she wanted to buy it.
-The person indicated they would be overnighting a check to me for the amount. I provided my address and I received the check on XX/XX/XXXX. However, the check was in the amount of {$1800.00}. The buyer indicated her secretary had accidentally sent the check in the wrong amount- that it was meant for something else. He/she asked that deposit the check and then send the difference back to him/her in the amount of the difference minus {$25.00} extra for the issue ( amount {$1600.00} ).
-The check was not a personal check, but one that appeared to be issued from a bank directly.
-I deposited the check on Friday, XX/XX/XXXX through the ATM at Chase Bank in XXXX , Texas .
-The buyer started to become very pushy about me sending the money order back. I checked my account on XX/XX/XXXX and it appeared the check had cleared. I went to XXXX and purchased a money order for the difference, but I was starting to feel uneasy.
-On Monday, XX/XX/XXXX prior to sending out the money order, I called Chase directly to inquire about the check, telling the Customer Service Agent that I felt uneasy about the buyer and wanted to double check that the check had cleared. The Customer Service Agent indicated that it had cleared.
-I sent the Monday Order on XX/XX/XXXX.
-On XX/XX/XXXX, I checked my account again- this time receiving a message within the App that the check was fraudulent.
-I tried to contact the buyer, but the buyer 's phone was now disconnected.
-I spoke to 2 different customer service agents and went into a Chase Branch to question why I had been told the check had cleared when in reality it wasn't. I was told by all three that the Customer Service agent I spoke to on XX/XX/XXXX should NOT have told me that the check had cleared and should've explained to me the customary time period before funds are actually available. However, even though they admitted to incorrectly informing me, I was told by Chase that since I deposited the check via an ATM, I was not eligible for protection on the check vs. if I deposited in-person.

I then took the check to another Chase branch on XXXX XXXX and check was deposited into account.
