Complaint: I was notified in XX/XX/2018 that the bank was increasing my interest rate from 14.24 % to 16.99 % arbitrarily and if I did not wish to continue using my card and pay the higher interest rate I would have to close the account which I did on XX/XX/2018 keeping my rate at 14.24 % and I received a letter dated XX/XX/2018 confirming this. Preparing my taxes this year I noticed the bank had been increasing my interest rates which now stands at 15.24 %. Their customer service rep states I didn't close my account until XX/XX/2018 not notifying them timely therefore they could charge higher interest now.

Complaint: XXXX client, XXXX is a victim of identity theft. He was notified by your Chase/XXXX of a fraudulent application submitted with his information without his consent. An inquiry was made into his credit reports with XXXX, XXXX and XXXX XX/XX/XXXX related to that application. A formal dispute of that application was sent to Chase/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, as of this date no reply from ChaseXXXX has been received. This is a violation of the FCRA and my clients consumer rights.

Complaint: I am a member of the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in the XXXX XXXX XXXX, at present ). I opened a Chase XXXX credit card account while I was a cadet ( not XXXX XXXX ; not an XXXX or enlisted ; this is XX/XX/XXXX XXXX at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. After I graduated and commissioned as an XXXX and became XXXX XXXX I requested SCRA ( Servicemembers ' Civil Relief Act ) benefits be applied to my account, namely the ceiling on interest rate charged. I started this process in XXXX through the Chase online and phone systems to no avail. After getting help from some XXXX XXXX lawyers, I subsequently sent a formal package and request via certified mail with all requested proof in XX/XX/XXXX. My request was still denied. The reason given for denial is that Chase is claiming I was XXXX XXXX while a cadet/student at the XXXX XXXX XXXX. The SCRA report shows " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' from XXXX to XXXX and then " XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX '' from XXXX forward.
I did not commission into full XXXX XXXX as a XXXX XXXX until graduation from the XXXX XXXX XXXX after I had opened my credit card account with Chase. The XXXX XXXX XXXX I presented this situation to concurred with me and recommended that I try sending a formal package to Chase and then submit complaints to the various consumer protection bureaus if that didn't work.

Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: A charge from XXXX XX/XX/XXXX was charged to a deceased person 's account. This individual has been deceased for over seven months. Her daughter ( me ) handling her affairs was unaware of the card 's existence until the statement was received in the mail. Upon calling XXXX I was unable to provide them with necessary information to locate the account nor reverse the charge.
I called the credit card company and they refused to reverse the charge because the card was " closed after the charge occurred. '' Their estate department claimed they would proceed in trying to collect on this charge. While only {$120.00}, I find this ridiculous and appalling. How can you charge a dead person?
I hope you can help, because the hour I spent trying to talk sense into them did not work. This all occurred today, XX/XX/2019 around XXXX. I spoke with XXXX initially who referred me to the estate team. XXXX in estate services.
XXXX XXXX, supposedly a supervisor for XXXX, who gave me an id # XXXX who said that they would reverse the charge and transferred me to their dispute department. XXXX in XXXX, TX in the dispute department who said they would not reverse the charge, dispute the charge, and initially tried to say the account wasn't closed, and then said that the account was closed after the charge occurred therefore making the charge valid. XXXX refused to transfer me back to XXXX and stated that the id # given meant nothing. XXXX refused to transfer me to a supervisor.
All names and information given about the people is all they would tell me. I did call back and speak to a random operator in the call center who verified that XXXX meant nothing to them and could not get me to XXXX XXXX.
