Complaint: I had a checking account with Chase bank and they shut down my account and would not give me any information as to why they closed my account. This happened in XXXX of XX/XX/2018. I think it was the XXXX of XXXX. My account was suspended after someone sent me money on XXXX. I was confused as to why that happened because Ive always been using XXXX. The next day I called chase to try to resolve this matter and they said that Jp Morgan has come to a conclusion that they no longer want me as a customer. I told them so why did you guys close my account. They then responded we cant give any information. I was like why not, you guys closed my account that I have been depositions my hard earned money into. They said in 10 business days they will mail me a check of my balance which was about {$1600.00}. I was very frustrated at this point. I tried calling back again to try to resolve this matter and I still had the same problem. The customer service would not tell me why they closed my account. 2 or 3 weeks later I get A cashiers check with my balance of my chase checking account as well as a letter stating that chase closed my account. I tried to get answers from chase after that but they would not help me out.

Complaint: applied for a XXXX XXXX XXXX through Chase. Was told due to bankruptcy 7 years ago, I was denied. Asked to speak to someone to further investigate. Was told bankruptcy again and I called XXXX due to the fact it was 7 years ago. I have a credit card and have charged and paid current over {$300000.00} dollars and my credit is very good. Then was told that it was due to me naming Chase in my bankruptcy 7 years ago. I have my home mortgage through Chase and asked my branch manager where I bank to help and was told Credit Cards is like their own company and She couldn't help. The great depression of XXXX was caused by the banks, not me. Can Banks be vengeful when issuing Credit?

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I submitted a payment to Chase Bank of {$1100.00}. The payment covered the past due amounts from my XXXX and XXXX loan payments, as well as additional feea which I had accrued. I noticed on XX/XX/XXXX that the transaction had not been posted on to my auto loan account, even though Chase Bank had listed the payment as complete online. I sent my first inquiry about the payment on XX/XX/XXXX and my second inquiry on XX/XX/XXXX asking Chase Bank to post the transaction to my account. I received a generic response on XX/XX/XXXX, but the XX/XX/XXXX response confirmed in writing that my payment was received by Chase Bank. Customer service then sent my inquiry to the Auto Finance department who sent me a generic response. I had scheduled a payment of {$500.00} to pay off the remainder of My past due amount on XX/XX/XXXX. My car was repossessed on XX/XX/XXXX. When I called regarding the repossession, I was informed that I had not submitted a payment since XXXX, which was not true. I called again on XX/XX/XXXX when the XX/XX/XXXX payment was pulled from my account to receive the fax number that I could send my proof of the payments. I faxed that documented proof to Chase on XX/XX/XXXX, asking them to call me to confirm receipt of the fax. I included in the fax the written confirmation that Chase Bank sent me on XX/XX/XXXX that the first payment had been completed. I called on XX/XX/XXXX to confirm that the fax had been recieved and they informed me that the research department had started looking into the past transactions. When I asked what the process was going forward Chase then had me open a dispute into my repossession. On XX/XX/XXXX, Chase Bank refunded my payment of {$1100.00} thirty days after I submitted it. I called the collections department and was told that an account supervisor would call me since it was an open dispute. I have yet to receive that phone call. I also opened another inquiry into this issue to Chase Bank, who referred my case to a Senior Service Specialist on XX/XX/XXXX and said they would be in contact within 72 hours. I responded to that inquiry on XX/XX/XXXX asking for someone to contact me and I received a response that they would be in contact within 72 hours. The deadline of my repossession was XX/XX/XXXX and I have not received an update on the status of my dispute or if the deadline was extended while they review my dispute.

Complaint: XXXX is charging me for a loan that was supposedly exonerated over 10 years ago. They've bullied me into making several payments so it could take the negative effect off of my credit report and be up to date. 10 years ago my mother took out a student loan in my name with my step father as the co-signer. Shortly after, my dad had gotten cleared for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX which allowed me, as his dependent, to utilize his benefits that paid for my college finances. Because of this, the loan was no longer needed and my mom had it exonerated. Only for 10 years later to pass and I am being charged for this! I do not have the funds to pay this loan and do not feel I was fairly approached and educated on this matter.

Complaint: Chase Bank closed my account because they had closed an account in my name due to a bankruptcy back in 2012. After I went to cash a check for XXXX issued from a Chase bank account, they told me that their limit was only XXXX that I could open an account or take the check to another bank institution. There was also an {$8.00} banking fee. One morning I checked my online balance and the account was blocked, therefore I called and they told me that they would issue a cashier 's check after ten business days of the account closure. They have my money and that is wrong!!!

Complaint: A year ago, my husband XXXX was diagnosed with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. We have worked long and hard to build an exemplary credit history and had a strong credit score of XXXX. We had no late payments and no negative reports. As part of my husbands preparation for treatment, knowing that he wouldnt be able to manage our finances regularly, he set up automatic payments on our {$4500.00} Chase credit card debt, amounting to {$150.00} per month ( above the minimum ), to continue until he was able to return to health and make further arrangements. Unfortunately, without our knowledge, interest on our debt increased and our pre-arranged payments no longer covered our monthly obligation. Thirty- and Sixty days late charges began to accumulate, and as a result, our credit score dropped to XXXX. XXXX XXXX recorded our dropping score, but didnt reflect any issues with Chase. The cause of the decline was, at first, a mystery. As soon as we learned about this situation, just over two weeks ago, we called Chase to resolve the issue and make arrangements to pay off the balance. We were told the debt was out of their hands and had been sent to collections. We spoke to our local branch manager, Mrs. XXXX XXXX, who understood our situation and attempted to solve the problem. She explained our predicament to a relevant supervisor, only to face the same response : We cant do anything. Though we can provide proof that we never missed a payment, our credit remains severely damaged. Again, our credit shows no late payments. In fact, our credit report shows no late payments from any of 15 other creditors. Only an insane person would pay everybody else and disregard one creditor. After working years to establish perfect credit, our compromised credit score means we can not refinance our home or pursue our life plans. The direct impact on our lives, however, is far more fundamental. Our efforts toward establishing perfect credit are part of our dream to establish a family. I have recently found out that I cant have children of my own. We have been working with the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX to XXXX a child, that is my life long dream. I was born in XXXX as my father was U.S. Military and my mother XXXX. This low credit score will disqualify us from XXXX.

Complaint: I have been using Chase Bank 's Bill Pay to pay my XXXX bill since XX/XX/XXXX of 2018. XXXX claims that it has not received my payments since the mentioned date. I contacted Chase by phone and in person several times, but no one is willing to help me. I asked Chase to refund the money to my account so that I could pay XXXX using a different method. Chase said that they can't do that. I went to the bank and showed them correspondence from XXXX stating that they have not received the payments. Chase is still unwilling to pull back the payments and refund it to my amount. No one at chase is willing to take responsibility or help me. I ask that they refund the money since the merchant says they haven't received it.

My husband and I do not have a mortgage or a house, we live with our inlaws, in Georgia, The owner of the house in question lives in XXXX XXXX, TX. I called Chase Bank, they said the would take care of it. I later called XXXX and locked my credit account. But seven months later it's still there. I talked to them on Saturday, in person, and they told me to call on Monday to the mortgage department. I called on the XX/XX/XXXX, and a male Chase representative said he had around one hundred pieces of paper to look through to see if he can see the social of the true owner of the mortgage, and he will fix it and call me back before XXXX XXXX. He did not. I am tired of Chase sending me bills month after month, asking for payment of a mortgage I don't have.

Complaint: I am currently a XXXX XXXX who is traveling across country for almost 60 days. Three days into my trip on XX/XX/19, I attempted to use XXXX via my Chase Bank account to send a {$500.00} payment to my friend and driver, XXXX XXXX. The payment did not go through immediately so I called Chase Bank to cancel the transaction. I spoke with a customer service rep who cancelled the transaction and said everything was all set. A few minutes later I received an automated voicemail stating my account was suspended because the transaction was suspected fraud. I called Chase and spoke with several reps who refused to provide me with any information at all and stated I had to go to the nearest branch ... which was 14 hours away. I told them my situation and that I had no funds for gas, food or shelter and Chase stated that wasnt their problem and I had to find a way to the nearest branch nearly 800 miles away. After begging strangers for change and for rides, I was able to get to the nearest branch on Monday XX/XX/XXXX. Banker XXXX XXXX tried to assist me but said Chase made a mistake and closed my account as a result of thinking my transaction was fraud, even though I called them several minutes before to confirm and cancel the transaction. I spoke with XXXX from the Chase executive offices who stated there was nothing they could do and I had to wait for them to transfer my funds in 4-5 days. Chases mistake has left me stranded with absolutely no food or shelter and has had a damaging effect on my health and well being.

Complaint: Chase Visa Card over the last year has replaced my card due to several fraud charges. Then one charge that was fraud would not be credited and Chase claimed that the charge was valid. The charge is not a valid charge for {$25.00}. After several months of trying to get the charge corrected, with no positive results, I demanded Chase Visa, credit all service fees, interest charges and the invalid fraud charge one last time. No response from Chase Visa except for the monthly bill being sent each month. I then wrote Chase Visa and demanded the account be closed since there is no longer any trust with their service or products. Chase Visa then sent a letter asking for payment and money to keep the account active. I no longer want to do business with them and have informed them of this and to close the account and bring the balance to XXXX.

Complaint: On XX/XX/19, we visited the XXXX Branch of Chase Bank where my Grandmother is a customer. She needed to withdraw some money from her account and also add me to her account so I can help manage her finances. We had a printed Power of Attorney that we also needed notarized. The Branch Manager at the location named XXXX XXXX NMLS ID:XXXX was very rude and refused to notarize our document or help add a signer to my Grandmother 's account. He caused a scene in the lobby of the bank. This kind of treatment from a Branch Manager or any employee in general is totally unacceptable. I will also be filing a complaint with his supervisor named XXXX XXXX.
