I also paid the payments that were due when there due was. Now Chase is stating 3- months I was 30 days late. Then said I am 90 days late also. I am upto date on this this mortgage payment

Complaint: Unbeknownst to me and my wife, in XXXX of 2019 Chase acquired my mortgage on an investment property that I own. I have been paying XXXX XXXX XXXX for the 4 years Ive owned the property. I pay extra, with auto drafts from my bank account and have never been late for this payment or any other mortgage payment over the 12 years Ive owned real estate. Around XX/XX/XXXX we received mail that said we are more than 30 days behind in our mortgage payments to Chase bank. We then noticed that a payment to our old bank had been refunded. We quickly called Chase and explained what happened, paid our late mortgage, current payment and got set up on auto payments to chase. Chase said everything was fine and removed our late charges. On XX/XX/XXXX my loan officer calls me in a panic and said my credit score has dropped 100 points ( from low 800s to low 700s ), and it will increase my interest rate by 1 % and cost me around {$82000.00} extra in interest payments. I told him it probably was related to our miscommunication with Chase when they acquired our mortgage. We are building a home and the house is mid construction. I immediately called Chase and explained the situation who passed me to the dispute department. I had a long conversation with a man there who took my information and submitted it. At first he said he didnt understand the problem because they removed the late payment fee. I told him I didnt care about a {$200.00} late charge, but {$82000.00} difference on my mortgage. He explained that it would most likely not be overturned because they called me several times and sent a welcome letter in XXXX. I explained I have no evidence of a letter, and asked him what number he called. It was my wifes number and they did not even have my phone number ( as the primary borrower ) on file. I asked if they left a message and they said its not Chases policy to leave messages. My wife receives a dozen solicitation calls a day, and if someone calls from an unrecognized number and doesnt leave a message, we know they are generally trying to sell us something. If the goal is to inform the borrower of the late payments to get caught up, why wouldnt they leave a message? Why wouldnt they call me as primary borrower? The complaint department called me a few days later and told me my dispute to remove the negative reporting was rejected. So I asked to speak to their manager. Explained the story. He sent me to the executive office. They asked us a bunch of questions to submit another review of the file. That agent explained that since we made 2 payments, the grace period between lien holder transition was not applicable. We never made the payments to chase. Our previous bank sent them, then on the third payment they stopped sending and refunded our check. The agent took every detail down, even details of our bank account showing on time drafts for the payments ( to wrong institution ) and refunding of the money. I thought for sure that any reasonable human would see this did not warrant negative reporting on our credit. We spoke to two different people who used the same script that said I totally understand. This happened to me as well. First time I thought they were legitimately being empathetic, but then realized after the second person said the same thing, it was a script. The credit reporting agencies are designed to indicate high risk borrowers to financial institutions. We are not high risk borrowers and this situation does now warrant that. After about 9 days, we received a voicemail that our request was rejected. ( Now they leave voicemails )

Complaint: On XX/XX/19 A Direct Deposit from XXXX was set to deposit in my Chase Checking Acct and showed pending until XX/XX/19 causing 2 overdraft fees of {$34.00} each. I called XXXX to ask for a refund on these fees as it was not my fault that the Direct Deposit did not go through normally. I was refused the refund as in XX/XX/2019 I had a fee reversal for a unauthorized debit causing a fee. I asked to speak to a supervisor and explained I can not afford to throw money away over a bank deposit issue she could not help me either. I do not think this is fair and I am asking for help with this issue as I am not able to get help from XXXX.

Complaint: Chase closed my account due to me asking for an accommodation under the XXXX for my XXXX. Chase felt I was not patience enough to accommodate my XXXX and closed the account. When they closed they account, I requested that they never contact me again because it would remind me of the discrimination and that I am XXXX and can not expect equal access to good and services from companies that do not accommodate the XXXX. Despite my requests Chase continues to email me asking me to sign into my secure message center. Each time it makes me feel horrible and reminds me of the day they threw me out of the bank keeping my ID and a check, I feel bad because of this and just want peace.

Complaint: I opened an account with a {$42000.00} check from a settlement two days ago. This morning the funds showed that the check cleared in my account. I paid two bills and got a message that my account was frozen and restricted. Chase informed me that without reason it was closing my account. They told me they would send a check when they clear it, which I dont now how long will take. I have an emergency and need to pay my bills today. If my money gets held up I would have to pay an addition {$3000.00} to cut my water bill back on for missing the payment. When I went into the branch to ask about it the lady was extremely rude and then called the police to have me escorted off the premises. Then she said she wanted to file a restraining order, when I was only trying to inquire about why my money was inaccessible for a undetermined amount of time. I want my money today and I want a full apology from the bank and the young lady that called the police on me

Complaint: I paid the future landlord rent of {$1900.00}, moving fee of {$500.00}, pet fee and garage rental fee of {$350.00} and {$240.00} for applications using my Chase business checking card. The apartment on the moving day turned out to be unsuitable for moving in or living. I contacted the person and he wouldn't respond for 2 days. I disputed the charges with Chase providing 43 pages of documents, evidencing inhabitality, violations of the space, no mail delivery from Post Office and basic negligent state. Chase refused my claim and provided all the money to the slum landlord. My 6 years of being business customer of Chase is violated and most definitely the slam landlord part is the sickening insult to an injury and monetary damage. I learned from official XXXX County records that the space is not residential, has numerous violations of safety and the person who claims to be the landlord is not listed as the owner. I am providing all the documents to evidence that along with the highlighted provisions that justify my cancelling the lease by XXXX Landlord Tenant Ordinance that states that non-hability and non-possession are grounds for cancelling the transaction.

Complaint: I went to Chase Bank in XXXX where my Parents had their mortgage with and alerted them of elder abuse on my Father before he passed and now my Mother by my Brother and I let them know I have Power Of Attorney for my Mother ans gave them a copy and they in turn updated it to their records. I also let them know My Father had passed away and and showed them and offered a copy of my Fathers death certificate. They took him off the mortgage and called the mortgage now the Estate of XXXX XXXX. I also gave them paperwork of my Father signing approval for me to handle all his financial business with them meaning Chase Bank.They updated his approval application as well. I explained that I filed Probate on behalf of my Father and that my Brother was trying to sale the house from under my mother feet. I gave them a copy of the Probate petition with the case number they kept for their records as well. They allowed something to happen with the house like maybe a refinance or a pay off without informing me before hand and would not tell me what happen and allowed my Mother to sign off the mortgage for pay off without my knowledge. Making it harder to protect my Mother from further financial abuse of real property. The Bank did not use the Mandate reporting duties under the California law.
